Know what's ironic? When Randy Rhoads died, Michael was the first person Ozzy called to replace him...but Schenker was really haughty and arrogant and greedy so Ozzy said fuck it.

I had refused Ozzy Osbourne and I had refused Aerosmith and in the beginning I wanted to say yes but then I realized I would be copying other peoples music and I that wasn’t what I wanted to do. I could play with the Scorpions if I play my own songs but if I had to play other songs then it was boring and not fun.!

Ozzy was the one that said Schenker wanted to charge him a fortune, Sharon was the one in charge back then,

Tim Owens is a damn beast. a damn damn beast, that can emulate ozzy's voice and add some power and rage in it. And Schenker is schenker. If there's a God he would like to play like schenker. He influenced 99% of today's guitarist and they don't even know this. Of course I like more sabbath's version but this rocks too

wayyy to much widdling lead guitar man, what makes this cool "the actual song" are the riffs and groove which " in my view" is tarnished by the sheardin.. iy makes me laugh when people slag zakk wylde off for doin " to many pinch harmonics" its just his style, but get a boner over this lead guitar over kill, im not slaggin him as a player because hes fuckin awesome, its just an example of how people can be!!

i agree to an extent about the leads, but it makes it a different version altogether. schenker sure makes it his own. personally, i dig the riffs as they were, but i love schenker's licks. and ripper is amazing

I went to this guys shows 25 years ago and he has to be the most unsung guitar hero ever! I don't think he ever got the commercial success or recognition he deserves.

@StinkingHombre I absolutely agree. Him and Uli Roth are among my favorite guitar players. Composition, tone, and technique, all in balance, very creative. Courvoisier Concerto from the Budokan album is one of my favorites from Michael. Everything from Lonesome Crow on, simply brilliant.
