  • excellent video, thanks. peace and love:)

  • The great irony is that piracy wouldn't be an issue if the previous Islamic government wasn't over thrown by the American backed Ethiopians. Now that the Ethiopian/American government has collapsed, Islamic law has been reinstated(as of yesterday) and lawlessness will begin to stop. Say what you will about Sharian law and it's flaws, it works.

  • What about the fact that American forces tried to restore some stability to Somalia but was basically ran away ? IF there were a stable government of any kind, they'd be better able to fight the eco-terrorism that is being waged against them...

  • Subsequent to ' Black Hawk Down' there was a stable Islamic government around 2000. America didn't have the stomach for it at that time, which lead to the Rwandan genocide. Crime was low and that is a fact. As for eco-terrorism, what role do we play? If you threw a computer out in the last 10 years, it likely went to Africa or Asia. Who among us is innocent?

  • I'm guilty of polluting the environment; but dumping nuclear waste is an outright atrocity. Thanks for the info...I only vaguely recall the government in Somalia..but I'm starting to remember Aidid (sic ?)....

  • Aidid is the right spelling. The truth is that America has been meddling covertly in Somalia in a big way following 9-11. The pirates as was noted in the video had good intentions at first but the lack of law created by the 'civil war' allowed them to become what they are today. Unintended consequences. Who created Bin Laden? We did. Who created Noriega? We did. Who created Saddam? We did.
