@SelanikGoecmeni I think its cool to buy a budgie a friend but if one dies the other one is alone and dies too , not always but happend to me ... I had 2 birds Teo and Thea and Thea died and Teo died 1 month later :( but thats 10 years ago . I have a "new" bird since 2000 and he is still alive :D

@Naxorex94 (: the same happend to me .. but having twi birds is so much better.. u can definatly tell that they are happy .. after one of my birds died the male one was kind of depressive :/ then he got a new friend and was happy again :) well they dont live anymore but i guess they had a good life

@None0fTheAbove LOL why didn't you tell me that you got him 3 days ago he is defiantly shy let the little guy realize he isn't in his normal surroundings he will get used to you. My bird ike(boy), it took him a full year to get the courage to hop on my shoulder with my other bird Cindy(girl)

How long do you let him out for?

Is his cage big or small?

How many times a day do you clean his food/water?

does he have any toys?

If all of these are the right answer and he is bored you should get him a friend maybe but i'm not a expert so.... talk to your vet or pet shop person about him he might be sick

1 thing how do you keep your parakeet to stay with you my 2 parakeets just fly away as soon as they are let out of the cage and they don't stay on desks and tables they stay on the top of my curtain rack how do you keep yours from moving
