Highly anticipated my ass. I wondered why I didn't know who Abrams was and then "and the writers of Transformers" -aw, there's a line to kill any interest. "They call it...the pattern" b/c dialog's compelling and believable when vague. You don't name who named it and of course, the gov. or whoever's implied would use a very general word instead of "Jetsplatter" or something that identified what separates this thing from others.

i saw the pilot (legally). I felt like this one episode should have been a movie! The whole brain communication thing they do is ridiculous. but anyway I was hooked the whole show. maybe because of the no commercials. I was confused about certain parts... and i really didnt like the way they titled the locations of the show. I would have prefered an almost law and order version instead of dramatically building the name of the location into the scene.

I hope this can differentiate itself enough from The X-Files. The pilot episode is very good but feels a little derivative of that show. The last line was hilarious though, as was the scene where Blair Brown has to strip off and take LSD.

Also, I hope 'Gene' the cow is a recurring character.

I hope this is good...but I have doubts. Joshua Jackson is basically following the same pattern as Chris O'Donnell did. O'Donnell made really bad movie choices for awhile, then did a show for Fox called Head Cases...it lasted 2 episodes. Joshua Jackson made some terrible movie choices that flopped, and now is heading to Fox. I can't imagine Joshua Jackson filling this role well at all. He has never been that convincing to me as an actor.
