My sincere prayer to you guys: May God Almighty bless your dinner table for the rest of your lives. May He bless this meal, your home, your family, and above all.... your love for each other. You guys are so cute.
Thanks, Betty. You never fail to surprise me and make me fall in love with your cooking more than before!!! :)
Those look amazing! Can you cook them in the stove? Do you suggest a liquid or is the olive oil ok? ( all questions pretaining to coooking in the stove)
@Latashatx1 Yes, I cook them on the stove quite often. I just mainate them the same way, and saute them for a very short amount of time right in the olive oil that they were marinated in, turning once. They are delicious!
this looks SOOO good!!! i am gonna try this for sure!!! what did you put on the veggies? just season? any oil or anything? great job to Rick as well!!!
@IAmG41 Yes! Just put them in a skillet over medium heat, and keep stirring them around, and turning them over. They will turn pink in just a few minutes, and they will be white and juicy inside.
@holymoutain I would set the oven at 400 and place the shrimp on a broiler pan. I would turn and check the shrimp frequently. They will also have a tendency to dry out, so I would liberally baste them with melted butter or olive oil. Again, when they turn pink on the outside and are white inside, they are done. Be really careful not to overcook using this method.
Thanks for this video. I'm going to try it on my george foreman. Also I did not know how to check if they done,or how long to grill them. Pls do more seafood and fish videos as we are not eating enough in this in our home. I would like to know what spices to put. On samon.nice to see Rick in ur videos u compliment each other well.
yum yum yum! Wow, those are some nice big shrimp Betty! I need to check my fresh seafood area in the store, we usually get frozen at Costco - but I'd love to try the fresh ones on the grill!
Just a question about the shrimp featured in your video. Were they previously frozen or fresh? How much did you pay for all of those Jumbo shrimp? I bet an arm and a leg. Thanks for posting nonetheless. p.s. pls post more field trips.. they are always super interesting. keep up the good work.
@merchant2 I bought the shrimp fresh at the meat/seafood counter at Kroger. They cost $7.99 per pound, and I got 1 1/2 pounds. This entree was about $12.00. We usually buy smaller shrimp, so this is unusually high for us. but much less expensive than at a restaurant. We have more field trips coming soon--it's fall festival time, plus we are going to do some type of tribute to the World Equestrian Games coming to Lexington, some dining out, and a tour of a local soft drink bottling plant.--B.
Oh Betty I love Jumbo Shrimp we call them King Prawns here in the uK. I could eat some of that right now looks really tasty. Take care, .......Richard :-)
@silentfades Rick prefers to leave the shell on for grilling purposes. If you don't like hot sauce, but want the shrimp to be flavorful, you can use Italian salad dressing, but the onion salt alone is good! Thanks for your lovely comment and questions!
@silentfades Rick here--the shell helps the shrimp to hold its shape without distorting and to moderate the heat as it grills. It also prevents the marinade from penetrating the shrimp so much. That's another reason to be sure the shrimp is deveined--the cut into the back allows the marinade to get into the shrimp. Really, the hot sauce doesn't insert too much heat or an overpowering flavor into the shrimp if that's what concerns you, so maybe you can try alongside Betty's suggestion.

Actually, shrimp and prawn are the same thing. The British usually say prawn while shrimp is an American term.
shadesoflife 1 year ago
@shadesoflife Nuh uh. Prawns stay large. Shrimp vary in sizes, plus prawns have a stronger flavor because their shell is thicker than shrimp. =3

if one doesnt like hot sauce what else can be used in place ?
