vegeta was the only one who was strong enough to fathom goku's true power, he was always in his shadow, it took him years to except it. but by the time omega shenron came, he let goku lead. and was kinda proud it seemed, to have ben friends with goku. but the fact that goku is the strongest in the universe and vegeta is right behind him is big. and that when they fuse into SS4 Gogeta, they become a being that cannot be killed-so says the creators-and only when goku fuses with him can that happen
