Please join Facebook group WE PROTEST POISON to help get justice for banana workers affected by the pesticide nemagon. Fruit companies used it for several years AFTER it was banned in the USA, and knowing that it is harmful to human health.
Apparently bananas have tons of pesticide residues in them. Workers have been dying growing them.
But consumers eat them, and there are only long term effects. What effects? Well, there are higher strange incidents of weird allergies for one. Cancer.
It's difficult to prove a connection. But us consumers must demand we minimize exposure to chemicals that are avoidable and we don't know the long term effects of.
Monsanto is a particularly evil company on the topic of pesticides.
