  • Nice video.. It;s great to see that our local shore line is still fill with so many interesting marine creatures.

  • Great job done. =) I saw so many animals that I never thought would be in Singapore. I hope to know the names of the animals too.

  • Awesome video! I am into saltwater reef aquariums and have been trying to get ideas for a biotope. Your pics and video have been very helpful.

Do you have more images of zoanthids and favids in their natural habitat? I saw your pics of zoanthids among seagrasses and it blew me away.

  • This video is great. All the way guys. You guys have my support. Just don't forget to put the animals name it it ya?

  • Thanks for the encouragement! Will convey your comment for the next clip.

  • Nice video! Just a comment, can you shrink the "Wild Singapore" logo? It's quite an eyesore and does not do justice to the nice imagery. More of such videos please? :)

  • Glad to know there's interest to find out more.

If you'd like to know more about these creatures and their common names, I've uploaded stills of many of them on the wildsingapore flickr (comments won't accept url)

Am working on uploading factsheets on them too.

Alas, all on volunteer basis. Plus time taken to actually shoot them, there's just not been enough hours in the day to do everything that we would like to.

  • Is it too much to add the common names of the creatures? :)

  • A thousssand apologies. We do have lots of clips of snakes, esp the Yellow-lipped sea krait. Will sssertainly try to include them in the next clip!

Great to see you're out of hibernation!

  • woooah!! i LOOOVE it! this is very very very well done ... guys!!! will be hisssellent if u can add a snake or two in the video .... hahaha

  • Thanks for the encouragement!

Right now, we're really too short handed to do much about putting together a product. Not to mention zero budget.

Too many of our shores are under threat now. We really do need to shoot first. We'll ask the questions later.

  • Great sampler. Can't wait to see the completed version.

  • Thanks! And for the suggestion for shorter clips.

This was a sampler done for another situation which we just decided to load up as is.

We're so swamped juggling shooting, full time daytime jobs and other lives, we really haven't got much time to do much post-processing :-)

  • Oops forgot to mention though, just a suggestion, could perhaps try having shorter clips, one clip for each "story" coz i can see several stories within this one long sampler.

  • I loved it!! Great use of music, it fits the shots perfectly! Definitely rated PG for sex and violence! Wah scandalized ;) haha Absolutely rare shots of so many things like coral spawning that most of us would probably never get to see if not for the hard work of wildfilms :D Thank you Wildfilms! :P

  • Thanks!

Wow, we sure could do with all the help we can get. Email us for more details?

  • I love it!

Excellent clip of Singapore's very own Discovery Channel.

Buzz me anytime if ya need more hands to cargo ya gear in those Ghostly hours.

    Job well done. Thanks.

  • We miss you too! We know you're busy. Just come when you can :-)

  • Great to see you guys' hard works. Miss joining you out on late night trip or maybe I should said very early morning. Congrats For the first posting but I can't wait to see more soon...

  • oh yes, we do have some amazing natural life.

heh, and i already have those links bookmarked. (:

  • Thanks! Yes, do agree that it can be sad.

But Singapore still has some spectacular shores!

See photos on wildsingapore flickr and blogs on wildsingapore google reader (I can't figure out how to insert urls into comments..sorry)

Perhaps with more awareness and effort, we can restore some to Manado and Sabah?!

  • nicely shot.

i think the video would impress the average singaporean, but as one who knows marine life, this is kinda saddening. we're sposed to look like manado!

    ... or at least, sabah.

    cheers.
