Obama layed down on healthcare single payer, the environment, ending the wars, worker rights, tax reform, federal reserve regulation, wall-street regulation and job creation. He also failed to prosecute Cheney and Bush for their crimes.
The media has done a horrendous job educating the people on the President's control of the economy. It is not directly in his control, at all. In order to "fix" the economy, one party has to have both Houses of Congress and the Presidency. Otherwise, no progress will be made ... like we are seeing today. Each party has too many different ideologies for stimulating growth and they will not cooperate.
