Now, that was just pretty frikkin' amazing. Harmony was spot on. What's the process of multi-track recording? What special equipment is required? I've got a couple of ditties that I always wanted to find enough good voices to do an a-capella version of some instrumental tunes, I guess it's easier to just be all the voices myself.
@avajoyce if you're interested in how msic is recorded using multi tapes and stuff- there a part of the documentary run by Paul McCartney on the DVD "Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road" where Paul shows how he recorded Beatles/Wings stuff using a few tapes
Great .I love it.I can play guitar along to it.Sounds great.I think we could have a hit record if nobody else has recorded this.Like that Mccarthny fellow or someone.
Thanks to all for your replies. Glad everyone liked it. :-)
I used a program called Reaper to record. Highly recommended. You could use any multitrack recording software to do something like this, really.
I used 5 different mics. It doesn't matter what gear you use to record something like this, because they're all monophonic recordings, one track at a time. I suppose you could ultimately just use one mic going into one simple interface if you were ever curious to try something like this.
This is well mint :) !
EVERYONE WATCH ME SINGING IT PLEASE :D :D :D :D

Can't believe the Scottish Government is thinking/talking about infilling the Bay with 127 wind turbines?

I'm not much of a fan of A Cappella renditions of songs but this is pretty good.

This is a total ripoff of "Mull of Timperley" by Frank Sidebottom (probably also somewhere on YouTube), which is a MUCH better song....

Wow, sounds like the vocal lessons are coming along nicely. I've never heard this tune before but you did a great job none the less.

Thanks, glad you liked it. If you never heard the original, add this extension to the YouTube home page:
/watch?v=nYhTye_A9H0
so you can see it and see how I emulated the arrangement (YouTube doesn't allow pasting URLs).

You sound fantastic. However, I am still partial to the magnificent Celtic Thunder version.

Laying down 40 tracks seems pretty amazing to me. Voices work beautifully together. Images are inspirational...I'm leaving for Scotland immediately!
