Yeah, that was a pretty big mouthful. It's mostly elderly people that die from eating mochi getting stuck in their throats. My son's throat is more like a garbage disposal.

Yeah, they do tend to expand inside the throat. That why it is safer to eat rice cake in small bites. Trust me I almost was one of the victim of the kill rice cake, but you have to have to admit it is tasty.

I have had Mochi, but I didn't know it was it until now. I had Mochi with icecream. It was strange, kind of soft/but rubbery outer layer on the ball. And it was lovely. I had it in London, when my class and I went on a trip to the Japanese Embassy then to a Japanese restaurant, it was the best!
