  • Good looking dog. Great job training him.

  • Im aussie and i have 4 heelers :) best mates ever and the bonus is...they let people in my yard but wont let them out lol

  • Best dogs! We love our Aussie cattle dogs in Oz! Highly intelligent, teach them once and they know forever.

  • Hi i live in SC in the US, and was wondering, if this dog is right for me, i have a 1 acher fenched in yard, and i live right beside a bug park, and i have plenty of time to spend with it outside? i also hunt and fish, u know outdoor stuff alot

  • @masterdub95 hi..I have a blue heeler..and it sounds like you have a great place for one. You can't go wrong. They are wonderfully protective (not violent tho) and SMART!!! They are obedient..easy to train..and they love to do what you want them to do! Mine is dying of cancer right now..and when she passes, I will get another right away. She's been a wonderful companion.

  • @brofun thnx man for ur oppinion and im very sorry about about your blue heeler to.

  • Saddest thing ever is when they start to show signs of getting old, it's so sad

  • como ace eso?

  • Wiley is awsome! Where did you get that throw stick? Need to train my new ACD puppy to fetch soon. Check him out on my channel...he was named after the female Diesel in England on YT. Fun stuff!

  • what is considerd to be quick on the pick up of tricks for these dogs

  • wow Dat Girl playin with the Dog is BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL wow she is Hot... Wats ur name baby lets hang-out- lol =)

  • wow

  • i hated the music. loved the dog

  • Does anyone else agree that cattle dogs are probably the smartest dogs? Im just putting it out there because they're always adorable, playful, cuddly and loyal to their masters. And that Wiley dog has an insane amount of stamina! if only my one wasn't so chubby ;)

  • @CorrosiveMoose mine is chubby too I guess because shes not working and she is spayed which I find animals gain easier when they are fixed. Mine is fairly small compared to a lot Ive seen but I guess the males are bigger.

  • @CorrosiveMoose I sure think so from the cattle dogs I have had. However, Border Collies and Poodles are recognized as the smartest dog breeds. Wtih ACD's, the variation in intelligence can differ greatly (because they are a highly mixed breed dog), but I've never met a stupid cattle dog. Always depends on the individual. My blue heeler is too smart for his own good and a bit chubby in the winter months :P

  • oh no not this song again

  • wiley is a awesome dog, did you train him yourself?

  • @aguythatmuds Thanks for the comment. He is an awesome dog. I did train him myself but it was easy because he picks things up so quickly. Very smart dogs.

  • That dog is just an incredible fetching machine! Man did he earn his drink of water!

  • shoot, I wish I could run up a hill as effortlessly as that!

  • Hello, I'm looking to get an ACD by the end of this year. I noticed that you are in Trabuco Canyon there, I live in Modjeska Canyon around the corner and was wondering if you knew of any local breeders?

  • @Nodeliverance101 Hi! I got Wiley when I lived in FL so I'm not sure of any breeders in this area. Good luck. Best dogs ever!

  • @Nodeliverance101 i have an ACD rescue, who's the best dog ever. have u tried looking into animal shelters for one? it'd be nice to give a home to one of the millions of orphaned dogs out there.

  • @laughtrackify Actually my last three dogs were rescues, two were great and the other was a bit of a nightmare. None of which were ACDs, but I just don't want to risk getting another terror again so I figured ill stick with a pup I can train myself instead of some poor dog that has been mistreated by some jerk and has irreparable damage. Its unfortunate but life is tough, get a helmet and a pup I guess....

  • @Nodeliverance101 I live in the OC area & have connections with a variety of different dog rescues. I read your comment stating you don't want to risk getting "some poor dog that has been mistreated by some jerk and has irreparable damage" - have you thought about rescuing a puppy? Many rescues don't have any 'issues'!! If an ACD is your breed of choice, I know a rescue that has several ACDs in need of adoption. Please feel free to send me a PM if you're interested.

  • Fantastic video of Wiley, he is a very cool dog. Did you get him from a breeder, if so, from where? Both of my ACD girls came from a ranch in Arizona, I just adore them. Athletic, fun and smart. :)

  • @Swandogs123 HI!!! I got him from a breeder in FL. I brought Wiley across the country with me. =)

  • @pseroter .. I got my Blue Heeler in Florida as well!! I've already taken him up to Maryland with me and he was great the whole 19 hour drive (we made lots of stops to run and play). Next week we'll be driving from Maryland to Washington State. I love my boy he is so sweet and intelligent. He'll be turning one a week from today!!... Also, did you continually use treats with him when training? My ACD is very responsive when rewarded with treats but not so much when simply rewarded with some lovin

  • How is he really around other dogs?

  • @jtabor13 he's good around other dogs. i had him around lots of dogs when he was a puppy

  • They never get worn out do they? Mine never seems to anyway.

  • They never get worn out do they? At least my cattle dog never seems to.

  • i use my arm to throw the ball

  • i really like the trowing ball stick thing...how is it called i need one of those for mi acd's

  • @olicastillo It's called a "chuck it"

  • OMG I need a hill like that for my ACD!! I swear they are almost impossible to wear out! You really have to watch it, they'll keep going even when they're totally wore out, they just don't show it! they have so much drive. I wish I could take my girl some place like that, she's still not 100% on recalls - much more fun things to go do than come back to me!! LOL

  • What is this techno song called?

  • good looking heeler, mines red, 5 weeks old right now

  • awwww cute dog we get our pup in a few weeks. road trip to go pick it up!

  • Your dog looks sooo much like mine (unusual height, exact same face, my dog has a big black spot just above his tail instead of a band on it) and when he was young (he's 15 now), he could outrun and out jump any dog in the park. Loved watching your little guy.

  • i wish my heelers would get that big i got two both of the same litter boy and girl and they get the right weight but not the right size. i also wish they had tails.

  • i love these dogs! my missus wants to get a stoopid rhodesian ridgeback...she says ACDs are ugly...and look like "homeless people dogs"....wimmin!!

  • Noo dont let her get one of those, ACD or an Australian Kelpie :)

  • great vid. your heeler looks very happy, i'm getting one soon!!

also, what song did ya use in this vid?

  • Its called Dreamscape. Its on the youtube audio swap options. Thanks for the comment!

  • my blue heeler pup, is really down ever since she was giving to me. What are some good tips to get her up and going? She is 3 months.

  • i just got an ACD puppy...and he keeps on biting...no matter what i do....are there any tips?

  • @chocoberry88 I would recommend a lot of exercise and plenty of bones, toys to chew on. Puppies mouth a lot, and ACDs are no exception, but they tend to nip more because of their herding nature.

  • Yea, definitely get that pup a job to do. obedience, socialization, agility. A cattle dog will do anything and everything you ask him to if you put the time in to work with him. check out the video of my heeler

  • @chocoberry88

Mine used to do the same, get a coke can fill it with like 30 pennies and when the pup does something bad, shake it and say no firmly, hope it works

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!! Awesome Dog. I have a Queensland Heeler Mix... sweet and smart dog. Such a wonderful breed. So loyal.

  • you gotta be careful with these dogs they were bread for herding cattle so they sometimes chase cars and try and nip the tyres and can get run over

  • I have two ACD mixes. One is black/tan named Pig who is 10 years and the other is the same color as Wily and she is almost two. Both strays that some jerk dumped. Total I have 5 dogs..yeah I am crazy. :D

  • Great vids of your pup! My BH/German Shorthaired Pointer mix Selkie used to love chasing a tennis ball and frisbee, I'd wear out before she did! We had to put her down 4 yrs ago from cancer that spread everywhere, she was 9 yrs old. Wily's coat reminds me of her a lot, she had flop-over ears like a lab tho. I intend to get another Blue someday, but I've got a house-full of dogs now (4 of them, all strays that nobody else claimed, all of them great dogs),

  • wow that's a place where you can really exercise your dog, i wish i was there with my dog

  • Yes! Wiley and I love it there

  • Amazing dogs...incredibly intelligent. I have a blue heeler/whippet mix. Can play frisbee for HOURS. love it to death though.

  • Man, this makes me miss Buster my blue heeler so much he died about 2 years ago from cancer. Yeah it still hurts, reason I'm watching these videos is because it was around this time when I first got him. Blue heelers are my favorite breed in the world.

  • Sorry to hear about Buster. Just be thankful for all of the great memories! Thanks for the comment.

  • very nice dog.... i have a question though... my friend has a husky but when i throw her hte ball she takes it and runs with it... she never returns it .. you know? is that because lack of training or because huskies are like that? my friend told me huskies are like that

  • Thanks for the comment! Some dogs are naturally "retrievers" and others need to be taught. I would recommend using a treat to lure the dog back after you throw the ball. Once the ball is brought back, make it "drop it" and give it a treat and lots of praise. It shouldn't take long to realize that if the ball is brought back then there is a reward. (food or praise)

  • Great dog! I've got a ACD/border collie mix. he's a great dog. 4 years old. I do a lot of camping alone and he is great to have around as he see's/hears everything around.

i want to teach how how to get drinks out of the fridge. do you think the acd/collie mix can do it?

  • That would be a great trick if you could teach him. I think they can do it.

  • how'd you train your dog to be near you and not want to chase other dogs or animals? Mines so wild she kills me on the leash, and acts agressive to other animals. She'd love that chuck it, I'm not sure she's ready for a park though.

  • I make sure he is concentrating on the ball/frisbee or whatever toy we are playing with. I make sure he is not looking around at other dogs, skateboarders, etc. He can get distracted, but I normally make a noise to get his attention immediately if he looks away. ACDs need a ton of exercise. They are much much easier to train if they are worn out a bit first.

  • Lol, I think she wears me out first.

I let her play fetch, use treats to bait her to do commands, then try to walk her and she still tries dragging me along for a ride. For a medium size dog, this breed is incredibly strong.

  • My main concern is she sees a squirrel, cat or another dog, and she thinks they are live chew toys. I don't think she'd hurt them, but she has to mouth everything. She adores children, and sees one and tugs me along until she can greet them. I can't seem to get her to leave my housecats alone either, I have to put up a baby gate so the cats have an escape route into the front room.

  • Wiley cannot be around cats. I've tried several times and he just won't leave them alone. My best advice is to learn how they think and be proactive. I am always attentive so if I see something that will distract him, I get his attention on me first. He has his moments at the park where he will run after a skateboarder. It happens, but most of the time he listens. They are a very strong physically and very strong minded. Intense is the word I use to describe him.

  • hey nice dog 5/5 AGAIN!!

See that blue thing u use to throw the ball could u launch that further than just throwing it by hand?

  • Thanks!! Yes, the toy is called a "Chuck-it" You can get them at Walmart, Target, Petsmart, etc. They are great because you can throw the ball far and you don't have to touch the ball full of slobber!

  • Do you have any training techniques for your acd? our acd/australian shepherd is sooo wild right now, I had her a few months now. she's just a year old

  • we have border collie mixes and we live up the street from you! by the other pool!! =D

  • How cool! Hopefully we'll see you soon at the park.

  • You tricked me at the begining lol

  • Ive been reading up on Heelers and Im def. gonna get me one...

  • do it, I have 4...they're the best

  • Awesome. Looks like sooo much fun. What insane stamina! He looks like a well bred, well exercised dog... working so hard!!! How lucky is he to have such a great owner who knows how to work their ACD. Awesome dogs.

  • Thanks for the comment and nice words =)

  • I wish I had a park like that where we are,my ACD Daisy would love it!

  • yeah the park really looks great :) im impressed by the endurance of this dog. My just lies there, eats and sleeps. love dem cattle dawgz! :D

  • what a COOL park!!!!!

  • He is awesome...!!! =)

My "Purple heeler' (red X blue) is a jumper and gets heaps of air and would love this game....

he is 5 years old and I have just started taking him to doggie school and he has taken to it like a fish to water.! =)

  • Hehehehehehe!!!

What a typical, stubborn, bull-headed, work oriented ACD your pooch is.

If he's anything like my Jinjo, he would play that game, and run up and down that hill for 8 hours straight if you asked him to.

ACD's are "The Terminators" of the dog world.

    Impossible to stop.

  • What does this shit music have to do with the greatest dogs in the world?

  • i didn't get to see this part of the video when wiley drank water from the fountain.

    he is so cute!

    great video.

how do you show him so much tricks dude!

great 5 stars. please write back. thanks

  • the hill trick!! or how to tire out your heeler before your arm falls off

  • I love his enthusiasm. My guy loves it when he sees me pull out the Chuck-it, and he;s bonkers for his "frisbee" (really a "Flippy-Floppy" fabric version. Thanks for sharing. That's one special dog.

  • So funny. I have the exact same toys for Wiley. The fabric version works better because it doesnt cut up his tongue. It just gets disgusting after a few throws. Thats where the Chuck-it comes in. Perfect for keeping slobber-free!

  • I love it! My first ACD used to fetch starting out in our upper yard and taking a flying leap down into the bottom yard. Of course, the slope was much, MUCH shorter than in your video! ;) And if he lost track of what he was fetching, I could direct him with hand signals and commands of "up", "down", "over" - without ever having taught him those commands! He just figured out what I meant... too smart for their own good! My current ACD is a little more reserved in his fetching. ;)

  • i my god i would get tire but if i were a dog no

  • Great! Long time ago i haven't seen your videos.

  • Queenslands are the best dogs of all!

  • Wow I love to see dogs so happy. + the scenery is amazing!!!

  • Thank you!!

  • Have you ever thought of introducing him to the FRISBEE ? I've had two ACDs...and both were "Expert" frisbee dogs.

  • Oh yes, he is crazy for the frisbee. I need to make a video of him and put it on here.

  • i have the same toy for my ACD, she'll do this for hours : ) my fav dog

  • omg you have a very determined ACD!! great video

  • dogs are the best

  • You have an awesome Cattle Dog! I've had my two for three years now and I still can't get them to chase a ball or Frisbee. Just a mop...

  • Wizzle is the shizzle!
