Its a glacier on the southwest flank of ruapehu, if u knew how icy that Resort gets it freaks u to know, most people who get caught in slips up there die through being cruch by the ice and weight. ouuuucchhhh!!!

I experienced a small avalanche this last season. broke off about 2 inches of surface and about 15 ft across the top and i was in the middle. I got out i held my edge but i know if it was any bigger i would have been swept down and probably burried...
