They do let pretty untalented people in but only to give the show that cruel but funny edge. Even if Cowell knew I'm almost certain the other judges didn't.

Susan does not have the best voice ever, that's a fact. If you only listen to mainstream stuff like Kesha and Usher then yeah I suppose but I've heard way better. I don't understand the big deal out of this. She looks like any other typical women with an outstanding voice. As a matter of fact, I presumed she had some type of singing talent before she even went out on stage. Susan Boyle was not a celeb in those days and did not bother with make-up and suchlike. More recently she has had a makeover (not a Minogue style botox jobbie) and looks great, She's not 21 and is not trying to look 21. She is a lady who had nothing who, despite the odds, has made good. She is an inspiration. It doesn't hurt that she's got a good voice too.

I don't understand the big deal out of this. She looks like any other typical women with an outstanding voice. As a matter of fact, I presumed she had some type of singing talent before she even went out on stage. BTW, this show should really think about what is being said, instead of improvising and talking shit without realizing. Have they heard about rehearsals??? They could have said the key work *unexpected* and not blurb out a speech of embarrassing criticism.

Susan Boyle was not a celeb in those days and did not bother with make-up and suchlike. More recently she has had a makeover (not a Minogue style botox jobbie) and looks great, She's not 21 and is not trying to look 21. She is a lady who had nothing who, despite the odds, has made good. She is an inspiration. It doesn't hurt that she's got a good voice too.

And yes in the end they do turn out to be gorgeous cause in my school girls who look good is due to make up and hair, and clothes. take that away and you'll run off, unless you have bad taste of course, which you most likely do. Also, girls in my school the "nice looking" ones, do drugs, and smoke, and drink, and that's pretty much gonna affect how they look in the future. -sigh- They deserve it.
