  • What a damn coooool song- excellent bass riffs and Syd of course- the genius

  • fond memories digging this song in the requisite, preferable and designed state that all of Syds music was made for- thought out, created from the enhancement that only those who have been on a holiday before can tell and understand- some of the noises that one can hear-and the bass riff in this song is damn good and grooooovy!DIG IT

  • I think it might be the bassist from Soft Machine. The time this was recorded would be around the time he started recording Madcap is mid-'68.

  • Oh shit'' there is some little melody there that sid's

doing...I was wrong..It's trying to be a song i guess...

  • The bass line shreds on this''.No one gives roger credits for his bass it seems..He even sounds geezer butler a year before butler on sabbath...Sid and roger are fucking around with

rhythm unless its someone else on bass..I dont think its song in the making..

  • this just the basic track to swan lee

  • It's the bass that lets this down - it's not keeping time - was this Roger Waters or is tjis too late?

  • This is definitely not roger waters on bass. Roger was never that good to play lines like that. Syd is probably recording improv with some unknown

  • @montyplaid

other than the official version released on OPEL, I LOVE THIS ONE!!!

Always thought the bass on this recording was fucking brilliant!!! :D

  • @montyplaid I believe it's the Soft Machine backing up Syd during these sessions.....so yeah as much as I love Floyd, this was not Roger waters on bass. (could not be)

  • @christophersidwell YOU"VE GOTTA BE CRAZY!

  • @christophersidwell You've got no groove if you cant dig that bass line

  • may 1968

  • ...the chief blew smoke rings two by two!

  • Touching melody.

    The land in silence stands...

    ...while Syd is performing.
