Real emo? come on i know this where the Original Gangsta bands that kick started itbut when cap'n jazz came in and fucked all ourbitches, they basically took what bands like this and indian summer and gauge where doing and made it more fun and pop after that otheres followed, the emo of the now is still rooted in this, wtf, have fun and stop being so elitist
esto si párese ser emo tiene toda la esencia aunque este tipo de bandas no les gusta ser etiquetadas dentro de un genero solamanente simplemente pude decirse que es rock otras bandas interesantes son mineral, sunny day real estate, fugazi.
This really is great, I'm glad to hear that "emo" could actually be considered cool. I was just looking into the emotional hardcore genre, trying to find real emo, and I found this. I'm glad I did.
My favourite Emo/Screamo bands: Circle Takes The Sqaure, Gray Matter, Rites Of Spring, Hot Cross, Kaospilot, Gospel, Encyclopedia Of American Traitors, TextBook Traitors, Joshua Fit For Battle, 1905, I,Robot , Pg.99, Moss Icon
They wouldn't understand it, in all reality the scene kid and emo kid style is still based on other fads; bands that are pop like and stick in your head for hours. There to make money and never truely tell a story or make an impact.
@ShylaBear123 It isn't a genre, what you're speaking of is Mallcore Emo, this was the real Emo. Every genre is a stereotype, they bring out the imagery that occurred within the style of music and turned that into a toolish fad. Pretty much happened with every genre.
Circle Takes The Square, Moss Icon, City Of Caterpillar, Saetia, Hot cross.

No Circle Takes the Square in either list? For shame. Kill the Switch has to be one of the most amazing emo songs of the last 15 years.
