I work next door where this video was made. It's hard to believe it was the 90s. That same night I saw them at the flood zone in Richmond where the remaining video was taped love you guys rock on
Never forget...moving into my first double-wide....I hit the big-time ($38,000 settlement). Used to blast this all day long! That was the best summer, ever.
People can bash "hair metal" all they want, but I defy anyone to play this song, while driving down a lonely road, and NOT blast it to 10, and hit the fucking gas!!!!!!!
No Nelson was a joke. Really! As for Firehouse they rocked. They had a great sound with good vocals and awesome lyrics. That's why they as well as another kick as band Slaughter had one an award. It was about time that these bands got recognized!!!
@muvitup1 Where's Firehouse and Nelson these days? LMAO Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden are still out and about. So is Dave Grohl, the last drummer for Nirvana.
Reminds me of the golden age of hair metal. We were all young and without a care in the world. I remember this song playing every half hour on the Blaze in Chicago. Out on the Fox Chain o Lakes EVERYBODY had their radios tuned to the Blaze all summer, it was like one huge floating boom box. Awesome days.
aaaDon't use Vevo. Vevo and the music industry has apparently reported many music videos esp. these old famous rock videos uploaded by individuals to take them off so that they can be the only music videos on youtube so that they can advertise the crappy new music trends/artists which most suck. They know that these videos get high viewer hits and their new artists stink and people don't want to hear them but in the end they end of taking off free rock vid without advertisment. Don't use it.
two bands who suffered the most in the 90s were not the Quiet Riots or the Ratt's of the world...it was bands like Firehouse and Slaughter, who started at the dawn of the 90s and had the sophomore slump essentially around 1992...after that, bands were not given time to really develop by the record labels, they were dropped after one album release and if they didn't start their own record label etc, they basically disappeared...
My father just decided to tell me a little story today about his teen years, "When I was a young kid, I used to have a car with an expensive stereo, and me and my friends would blast this song because the bass was so loud. We used to cruise all over with this song." Moral of the story, I don't even know. But great song!
yea i married a bitch who all she did was treat me bad but all i could say that she got her day and themsome for her now her life is a living hell and im glad every dog has there day
@MegaJohnnywadd its not technically the 80's but it has been inducted into the 80's since this does not at all feel or sound like 90's so for all us music fans out there this falls under 80's hair (that just happened to come out in the 90's)
@MegaJohnnywadd - I graduated 1990. Grunge took over in 1992. You are ok. I put Firehouse in the BIG HAIR BANDS era. No numbers necessary. Firehouse has been around throughout the 80's. Many hair bands were prematurely terminated in the early 90's. Our youth is finding them as we speak. Even bands and songs we never heard of are being discovered by the children of these Big Hair Bands era. I can't wait to hear them.
Firehouse became noticed at the end of the 80s. That was sad, a few years earlier and people would talk about them more. Their hit timing could not have come at a worse time, as it coincided with guns n hoses (who killed the 80s).I mean when GnR came out, it was like: this thing is SOOOO over. 91 is also when Dream Theater released Images and Words, critically in the top 25 albums list, they had the same timing thing here,BUT have been smashes abroad.Firehouse stayed domestic.Good band.

this song goes out to all the girls that think that they can do whatever they want to us men who treat them right. you can do anything but baby dont treat me bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is very good. Def Leppard are my favourite band but I cannot find much anywhere near as good, but this band, and Warrant for example, even though they are American, which I have forgiven them for, are fairly close.
one of the best 80s bands? i guess metallica guns and roses and about 100 other bands dont count. Firehouse one of the best 80s bands, really? come on
I think perhaps you need to think of Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Warrant and other bands that can sing and play instruments simultaneously and well the one in this video included.
Thanks for posting this,I saw firehouse in concert at a local bar a few years ago. The lead singers voice is even more amazing in person. If Firehouse is still performing live, everyone really should check them out.
