  • um no im gonna get a red eared slider and im gonna get 40 gallon thats plent of space if u got 1 if u got more then 70 gallon

  • Great man

  • i just keep my turtle in a bowl

  • are these good pets and how much money would i need for it pls reply

  • @lego3311 the start up cost for a turtle is quite expensive i would say at least 250 dollars, if you want me to be honest i dont think turtles are great pets there cool for about a month then they get old, when i got my turtle i was hopeing a little bit of interaction you cant really play with them they are fun to watch though if your looking for pet that really take out and have fun with i wouldnt get a turtle, but ask around other people think there great there just not for me

  • @lego3311 if you do get a turtle you might want to look into a different type red ear sliders get too big, if you dont start off with a big tank you will need one by the time they are fully grown there are other turtle out there that stay smaller so if you do spend lets say 250 to start up it will last you you wont have to upgrade the tank or the filters but do research before you purchase one i hope this helps you out at least a little bit

  • how long does the renA keep the water clean

  • @ilikebabyturtle depends on your filter, filtrate 3-4x your amount of water and you'll be fine for about 1-2 months

  • Nice turtle looks really cool

  • @alexhtims yes actually they need uva and uvb for proper growth, the light i mentioned in 2:12 of the video is really good and its only like 25 bucks at petmountain product number 11442-504030

  • so ur saying that the bubbles help the filter to get more debris, how do u set it up???

  • You have to buy an air pump some hose and bubble disc its pretty easy to set up just attach the hose to the air pump and to the bubble disc then hide the bubble disc under the rock, the bubble disc are not going to cover a big area this is more less my theory if the fishes waste is released over the bubble disc it will rise the waste to the top of the water giveing the filter a better chance of captureing the waste rather then it hitting the bottom of the tank, and bubbles just look cool

  • @joepete1769 u mean they cary up only fish waste not turtle waste?

  • @madturtlefan just for public info, my fish eat turtle's waste and bite them into sand-like structure then release them through their gills and my turtle eat fish's waste...all I have on the bottom of the sand is lot of pleco's waste XD

  • @madturtlefan yeah basicly, the tutle poop is too heavy it sinks, but thats why i feed the turtle outside the tank not only does it eliminate all the left over food it cuts down the turtle waste in the tank i usually wait a little bit after i feed the turtle and he usually goes inside the container i feed him in this keeps the tank way cleaner as far as the air pump i think it adds extra little something to the tank and the turtle enjoys the bubbles

  • @joepete1769 sliders need to be fed under or in water...FACT.......I dont mean hold them under water...they need to lube their mouths......

  • @BerkLeeDrm

Yep, i take him out of the tank every night put him into a separate container with water and feed him

  • nice tank and great video for people thinking about getting a turtle
