I can't see this EV with a lift and 35" tires. If you need such a vehicle stick with the gas version, defeats the whole green concept I think...

no mate! not really. the point is, that it has very small 1,4 engine, which gives power to the electric engicne - and this engine produces 300 bhp!!! with electric engine you get these 300 bhp from 1 rpm. that's what so great about electric engines. this wrangler still pretty much hardcore offroad.

but how would it perform with a lift and tires in extreme off road conditions?

great idea, but you gotta think for a second. Your offroad enthusiasts. I love jeeps. But how will it handle under extreme conditions? what if the owner installs a 4" lift and 35" tires, how will the jeep perform with the electric motor? Then think about where they go, mud, rock, sand, dirt.........of course im sure the posers who lift the jeeps and just use them as road toads wont have any trouble.

A fuel efficent off-roader, good for the inviroment and fun to drive, unlike most "hybrids", if they can make EV vehicles work and affordable for the wide range of the public it could be a best seller on the market.
