I always wondered why Sweden even though they're not much bigger than Norway always put out better hockey players. Then I read that Sweden has 11 rinks to Norways 1. Norway needs to step their hockey program up. They'd be a powerhouse like the Swedes if they did.

What if you guys stop hating him just because you're jealous? He got great talent, and if he is not any special, how those other kids doesn't handle the puck way that he does? And for his age, he got amazing slapshot and game vision. He really passes puck, but when you have ability to take puck by yourself all the way to net, why wouldn't you use that? He is great player.

i was just watching some AA bantam hockey here in canada this week and this kid rivals those kids in terms of skill. too many comments about the competition he is against - face it, he has amazing skill for a kid his age.

When I played hockey (before I wrecked my knee at 17) I used to look down while dekeing and dangling (at 12/13) and then as I got a little older I didn't have to look down at all to see where the puck was/where it was going to be.

It is his skating ability that sets him apart from his peers. Obviously he has good hands, and vision as well but its all in the skating. There are lots ok players who can see what play to make, but just cant physically do it. it will be interesting to see what type of player he is in a close game. Also how he will fare with hitting.. thats when the real game starts.
