agreed. personally i think each album had " the good, the bad, and the ugly" from metallica. there were some songs that are great and powerful. there were some decent songs.. and there were some songs that weren't that great. I think the right move should have been to have released both as just one major double album.. sort of how guns n roses did with use your illusions...Or have just taken the best riffs, made 12-15 killer songs and made it into one monster album.

Yeah, touring for 3 years will shred your voice. But, on Load it was still a bit heavy. On Reload his voice seemed a bit less gravelly. That was only a year apart. Age must play a role as well. Bummer. I'll still buy every album they make.

well actually james and lars said that songs from reload are pretty much the songs that were made during the load album. he said reload is a continuance of load. he said they were all made in pretty much the same time period except for a few. so his voice doesnt really change that much from load to reload. well at least not drastically.

In the SKOM movie James states that "They never gave jason the chance to showcase his talents" Jason has writing credit on maybe 6 or 7 songs, and Hammet doesn't have many more than that know why? because up until St. Anger Lars and James got together and pretty much wrote out everything. You never got to hear much of the real Newsted (Like the bass solo on binge n purge) I'm not saying that Jason was Cliff, he wasn't and noone will ever be.

no... the first, godsmack, is a kinda rough edge metal. the second awake is more a heavy Hard Rock. 3rd, Faceless, is a different style cause they got a new drummer, and the 4th IV is hard rock... and then there the other side a accustic album... and the middle 2 sound like the same style, but good songs on each...
