  • Nice ironing board

  • How are the lights blue

  • i have no idea how this thing works. i dont understand how one second the lights flickering and the next its like OH HAI IM MOVING.

  • No that's all just no u use a launch pad for dubstep not nature sh$@

  • what program are you using while using it?

  • @Laxfreak113 Shut up, Skrillex has nothing to do with this type of music.

  • fake

  • i hear Aquarius by 5'th Dimension ;)

  • skrillex loves that trigger finger

  • is that...an ironing board you are resting it on? xD

  • And the sample is............ Age of Aqaurious intro

  • haha i won the auction on the trigegr finger !

  • @GoodPotatos Sucks, shoulda gotten a PadKONTROL for about the same money.

  • hey mouthbreather1 could u please ship youre trigger finger to other contries, maby Europe ? then i woud totally bid for it !! plz

  • @GoodPotatos I'll ship to Europe, if you cover shipping costs. If you bid on it & win, contact me via eBay.

  • @mouthbreather1 i sent u a message on ebay, respond within 3 hrs plz

  • THE THING ON OUR LEFT!!! WHAT IS THAT??? SEND LINK PLZZ I WANNA BUY ONE

  • @TheOfficialRavestep The thing with the black buttons in an M-Audio Trigger Finger (and I happen to be selling mine :D check the description). The thing with the bigger grid of buttons is a Novation Launchpad.

  • @mouthbreather1 THANK YOU ive been looking for it for a WHILLEEEE! thanks for the offer but im just gonna buy my own :)

  • @TheOfficialRavestep They've been discontinued for a while, so it might be a little hard to find them. Akai makes the MPD controllers; I'm currently using an MPD24 instead of the Trigger Finger; those are much easier to find (and, in my opinion, better). I've also heard good things about the Korg PadKontrol, but never tried it for myself.

  • @mouthbreather1 yeah cuz I've seen skrillex using it a lot i REALLY wanna try it ;p

  • @mouthbreather1 Korg PadKONTROL is great. Really good sensitive pads, but that also means you have to be careful not to bump into it...

  • I came here cause i thought you got yer launchpad lights to be blue :D

  • @timcapelle I'VE DISAPPOINTED SO MANY PEOPLE :C :C :C

  • what is this "myspace" you speak of? >_<

  • @rickASAUR69 not cool enough for soundcloud.

  • that beat is nice!

  • Nice synchronization ,man.

  • are they both running through ableton??

  • well, nice work.

  • Im so confused as to why you masked out the table and replaced it...

  • whats the silver thing

  • @coolicol31 I think you're talking about the M-Audio Trigger Finger?

  • I have a trigger finger and I've found that you have to press REALLY hard to register, and as a result a lot of the drum hits never actually fire, and it's impossible to play like you've got yours set up. I've tried setting velocity with the utility it comes with and nothing really works too well... do you have any advice for me? cheers!

  • @thecottonwolf Have you tried setting the velocity straight from the controller itself? I can't remember how to do it, but you can set it using one of the knobs & save it in one of the 16 preset banks. Enigma never worked well for me, so I just did everything on the controller.

But the pads themselves are pretty stiff, and do need to be hit somewhat hard. I kind of want to switch to an Akai one for that reason, but haven't found a cheap enough MPD16 or 24 yet...

  • lol fake vid...

  • @ExythTv Yeah, I made a fake one to impress you. Pretty bummed it didn't work, but life goes on.

  • Wait a sec... Are you using that in an ironing stand?????

  • Was kind of hoping The Fifth Fimension was going to start singing aquarius

  • @Symitar01 I'm so happy someone caught that sample :D

  • @mouthbreather1 Caught it the first five notes too.

  • What's the name on the silver "Launchpad" ? :o

  • @HabTvSwe it's an Akai trigger finger thats what Skrillex uses live

  • @EXCONbeats it's m-audio trigger finger.

  • @nathanielgbmusic oh yeah shit i knew once i posted that the brand name didnt seem correct

  • Out of curiosity, how did you make the LEDs of the LaunchPad blue?

  • @malunis

they're not blue. it's just the light. they actually are grey

  • sounds so good!

  • DOES IT WORK IN LOGIC PRO...THE LAUNCHPAD?

  • @MuffCarpet DOES YOUR CAPS LOCK BUTTON WORK BOTH WAYS??

  • @frogjezz NOITS STUCK, BUT MY MUM IS A BISEXUAL AND SHE LOOKS BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE ROAD. *WINK*

  • @MuffCarpet NICE

  • ok, first off great video. I actually have a LP and a trigger finger aswell, i was looking to do the same thing your doing in this video, so just to be sure, your launching synth clips in session view while having drum rack loaded up to play along each melody right? and each clip is launched at 1/32 bar?

  • @ace101guy Check the tutorial I posted; it should explain everything :D

  • @ace101guy i see that he is just launching the samples from LP in trigger non-loop

  • cool, but not as god as madeon ;)

  • thats awesome dude

  • which ableton? 8?

  • @UFC60hwm Yup, that's the one that has built-in Launchpad support. As far as I know, 7 can be updated for support too.

  • Launchpad can be used without a computer that comes with music, however.

  • @videareen On the Launchpad? I used follow actions. For the Kraftwerk loop, I cut it into 8 parts, then lined them up on the same audio track. With follow actions, I set it so once each part played, it would automatically go to the next one; when it reached the end, it would start over. You can get a similar effect if you use nonome (turns Launchpad into a monome) and MLR, but I find it a lot easier to just do it straight from Live without 3rd party apps.

  • what program are you using?

  • @choichoisoy Ableton Live

  • btw, why are you recording this mirrored ?

  • skrillex has that!

  • @DotMapFile you gtfo

  • Dope. Sounds like boards of canada

  • where do u get that type of equipment?

  • hahaha fake wood copyd on the vid

  • @DJQdot I don't think one's necessarily better than the other; the launchpad gives you easy access to 64 clips at once, plus switching into the other modes is really quick & easy. The trigger finger is more fun to beat on though :D I can't imagine playing a launchpad as aggressively as a trigger finger. And I prefer the velocity-sensitive pads & knobs. So they both have their pros and cons, it just depends how you want to use them.

  • @DJQdot Nah...Ableton makes it pretty easy to dj with for a beginners

  • @DJQdot Trigger Finger is definitely a great piece of equipment, but the launchpad is a BEAST!!!!

  • what kind of instrument from the future is that thing? :O

Oh and are you seriously Yoni or were you just bsing?

  • @Topgeneral3070 On the right is the Novation Launchpad (sold that, though); on the left is an M-Audio Trigger Finger.

Also, when did I say I was Yoni?

  • @mouthbreather1 some clouddead video. don't remember lol. you said you liked doing kitchen sink fulls of lsd and pulling words out of a hat :D

  • @Topgeneral3070 No, that was just how I figured all the cLOUDDEAD songs got written.

  • i am gonna buy the same equipment, except with two launchpads

  • Thats sick man

  • Couldnt work when the whole shit is moving all the time

  • @123cd123ef Haha, FWIW they were just on a piece of plywood that was on my lap, so not super-hard to work with. (A stand or something would've been nicer, but I'm broke & have to improvise.)

  • what mpc you using?

  • @asfbi not an MPC (one of these days, though, when I'm not broke...). It's an M-Audio Trigger Finger & a Novation Launchpad, running Ableton Live.

  • awesome, bro!

  • sick

  • nice skills mate :O thats really impressive. keep on doing good stuff :P Cheers!

  • @pyniolek Thanks!
