  • I met Mr Cage in Ft Ord 1987. What was he and many other actors doing there is not known, but he is one tough guy physicaly fit. Believe oit or not I was about to recruit him for Delta Force but he angryly insist that I give back his phone number on the paper he gave me. He did that cause the actor Steve Webber told him to. I didnt mind giving it back, but its the way Mr Cage ask, he was shouting in anger. I wanted to tell him about Delta thats why i hesitated which cause his anger.

  • @Flipjenner

It's called "Bangkok Dangerous" the name is displayed momentarily in the beginning

  • From which movie these scenes are taken from?

  • Hey! Thanks God, it's real Leung Ting Wing Tsun in a movie! at last!

  • i dont remember which line....we do the front stance when we train and stuff, but when we fight for rel we have one foot infront of the other for better balance and mobility

  • 0:06 This is the Hubud Trapping from Kali and Silat (kilap), wing chun stuff is shown at 0:50 chain punches, jek chun choi in front of the mirror. The rest ist Dan Chi sao and two arm Chi Sao.

  • Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...Again...

  • @Rhuarc-that knife scene is awesome! the movie The Hunted with tommy lee jones has some realistic knife fighting too

  • its awesome to see some knife fighting and winng chun in movies

  • @lawngnome412 right you are. Theres a Korean movie called "The Man from Nowhere." This movie has one of the best knife fights i've seen. If you haven't heard or seen it already, check it out. PEACE.

  • at 1:16 my sifu would say to cage: drop your shoulder... :)

  • watch the Asian one instead. Nick Cage is just trying to get out of debt.

  • I practice Wing Chun ; )

  • AGAIN!

  • Incredible......in Bangkok and not learn Muay Thai or Krabi Krabong......!! No comment :(

  • what movie is this

  • @Chaos149 Bangkok dangerous.

  • HIs chi sau is relaxed but sloppy.

  • I think a lotta people think too much on 'the style' of martial art and how its shown on screen. i trained in it and i still love it but i dunno im just not into the traditional stuff(just my thing i guess) there is a fukload of practicality in it i just think a lot of the media sort of makes wing chun strict on being very 'wing chunny' if you know what I mean.

  • whats movie is this ?

  • what the fuck...

even ugly cage is trying to profane wing chun, what a shit.

  • Whats the name of the movie ?

  • what movie is this?

  • cage is very tense. he's all shoulder, right down to the way he drinks his coffee, or whatever it was.

  • look how unrelaxed he is, yoiu can see it all over his face, still awesome to see wing chun in movies though

  • Again...

  • He's not only dangerous....he's Bangkok dangerous.

  • @SFmaster23

I see what you did there.

  • what is the name of this film

  • @GangstaboySA1 It says at the beginning, Bangkok Dangerous.

  • haaaaaaa no manches quiero ver esa pinche pelicula esta bien chingona y pinche actorazo!!!!! arriba el wing chun

  • Its Kali & Wing Chun !

The first with the Knife is Kali the second in the park wing chun !

  • @AFlippingBudjunky It's actually all wing tsun.

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak its the same thing, its like people calling soft drinks "soda and pop"

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak no ....some things are similar thats why it looks the same but the application with the knife is kali ....some things in wing chung with knife are similar to kali because of the physical laws .. but here are different fighting styles mixed ...but thats normal in movies mixing fighting styles and choose the best looking moves from all ...

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak ahhh i know what you mean ...but in the first fight the person without the knife is using wing chung but nicolas cage holding the knife attaks with kali movements ....so get it ....in the other application without a knife both uses wing chung ....

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak youtube.com/watch?v=6CmsLrshRrs

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak and many wich chung people train kali too becaause it's fitting so good together ....because of using the same priciples ...

  • @SiddTheFrickingNayak there are many wt/excrima schools out there (training both) and escrima is kali ....

  • which film is this?

  • @bubnjarovski Bangkok dangerous

  • dude, haven't seen the film, but from the clip I would say that is Kali

  • @parkourhellas

they do in the movie dan-chi and poon-sao, and that is wing tsun, perhaps they do a bit of kali

  • damn good but you have one mistake :)) it's chi-sao not chi-sau

  • @fifastyler94

actually it's neither, seen as teh chinese dont have an ABC all the translations

ie. : chi sau / chi sao are all interpretations of the chinese pronunciation.

just like : Wing Chun / Ving Tsun / Wing Tsun are all the same martial art but indicate different schools.

  • Actually the first drill is from Filipino Martial Arts, it's called Hubud.

  • @victorrain

Hubud? Can you tell me more about that. Like, what does it consist of?

  • @sabre926

It's somewhat of a sensitivity/transition drill that can work with weapons or empty hand. Like you saw in the video. A lot of the basic work deals with counter-strikes, but the more advanced you get. You get to work in Dumog, which is grappling.

  • @victorrain

Ahhh, I like the sound of that. I love martial arts with counter-attacks.

  • is this a movie or what ????? :D

  • Its a movie Bangkok dangerous

  • zincir yumruk hehehe

  • I'm Karate, but that style of wingchun your talking about is pretty good, and that stance is only for training the techniques I think. Like in Karate, we stand in "horse stance" as a type of training our moves, but we fight in a different stance (And there are many different stances) So I think that pigeon toed stance is only for drills and stuff, because it leaves your groin quite open... But it was made by a girl, so I dout she was thinking of our balls when she made a style for girls lol

  • @GuamKomudo - that stance is not only for training the techniques.. it was not made by a girl and it was not made for girls, it was made by a shaolin nun, who was a master of kung fu ie. strong, flexible, fast and smart.. WT is created so you don't DEPEND on strenth or body weight, which doesn't mean you don't need it.. that also makes it a great way for a smaller person or a girl to defend themselves, without the absolute need for tons of power.. some sweat and train, some wave their hands...

  • Stop acting like those are facts, no one knows exactally who made Wing chun. Depending on what legend or story you choose to believe, wing chun was made by many different people.

The version I heard is it was made by a girl named wing chun, a powerful lord wanted her to marry him, so she said if she could beat him in a fight she could be free.He accepted,so she trained with kung fu guys and modified KF for a girl, and created a girl version of kung fu,she won the battle and wing chun is famous

  • @GuamKomudo the stance is called the iris and yea its our basic training stance from it we can shift into all other fighting stances. because of the way you bend your knees inward when doing it you nads are protected though it doesnt seem it lol

  • @GuamKomudo that is only one popular theory. Many others believe that it was made by showlin monks about 300 years ago. Due to the complex nature of the art and the scientific marit it has it makes more sence

  • @GuamKomudo Wing Tsun man, please try to get it right ^_^

  • It's called different things depending on where you're from... Wing tsun, wing chun, yong chuan etc. None except the Chinese symbols are correct way to say "wing tsun" Romanized versions of Asian languages are just aids, there isen't ACTUALLY a T-S-U-N spelling of any Chinese word, it's just a pronounciation guid for white people...

  • @GuamKomudo it is true that it was made by a girl, but the whole system teaches u to protect the centerline of the body, so automaticly our balls are included.. :P

  • @GuamKomudo Lol you dont know what you are talking about so stfu

  • @GuamKomudo hahaha very funny your final comment xD, look, i'm a wing chun student, the first stance is called Yee Jee Kim Yeung Mah and of course, we have another stances, Yee Jee Kim Yeung Mah is used for drills and also for fighting, there is another stance called Wang Mah (side position) it's very cool too xD... ahh, i forgot to tell you, you think Yee jee kim yeung mah leaves your groin open but you need to see beyond what is visible =D. Respect!

  • @Vandermogo That is all true ;)

  • @Vandermogo very nice comment...the obvious is not always the obvious...Respect.

  • @Vandermogo Please. Try actually fighting from Yee Jee Kim Yeung Mah and tell me the results. :) Like Ma Buh in traditional Kung Fu, that stance is NOT used in fighting. It so isn't! :D

  • @GuamKomudo You see Ip man ;)

  • @GuamKomudo oh man...i respect ur choice to learn karate, but the reference to a chick being the origin of Wing Tsun and not protecting "ur balls" just goes to show that u know nothing about Wing Tsun at all mate...as in Karate there are different stances and apparently u didn't do ur homework at all. Ur attack using a low kick at my balls would be blocked by my right knee and followed up instaneously by a flurry of blows to ur head and neck.

  • @GuamKomudo I didn't want to diss you at all, just to reinforce the notion that every martial art has pro's and con's to it. Peace to you and ur family.

  • Not to forget this is Hollywood and anyone who studies WT would be able to take Nicloas Cage apart in a heartbeat, regardless of the type of Martial Art applied, especially the two move WT he applies in this film.

  • @GuamKomudo Not true, we fight in that stance. yes the groin is open, but we are really good at guarding the centre and protecting those precious balls of ours.

  • @beejdee Totally agree! We would simply move to another of our many steps to avoid this! Simples!:)

  • @beejdee lol noone in real life fights in that stance nub ;] i do wing tsun myself i would never fight like that in a street fight

  • @Alesandros356

What lineage do you train under? a couple of the grandmasters under Yip man chose to add footwork. But most grandmasters teach the front-on stance for fighting.

  • @beejdee i dont remember which line....we do the front stance when we train and stuff, but when we fight for rel we have one foot infront of the other for better balance and mobility

  • @beejdee Lol how many grandmasters do you think they're are? there arent many with that title so dont throw it around like its common and easy to get that title

  • @DMulah3

Wong Shun Leung, Leung Tin, Chu Shong Tin, Ip Chun, Ip Ching, Lok Yiu are all today considered grandmasters. These are the guys im talking about.

  • @beejdee Very true, dont forget grandmaster chow tze chuen! he's alive and practices still. Not too sure why samuel kwok is referred to as a grandmaster though

  • @beejdee as a wing chun man u never fight in that stance. yi jee kim yin maa is a practise stance for developing strength, balance and structure among other things. therefore it's used in several training drills, but when u engage in a full blown attack u must move. no matter how good u're protecting ur centre line one can simply strike a knee right to ur nuts if u remained in that stance

  • @DonMega187

Who says you cant move in that stance? Youre not supposed to just stand there, Its not a stationary stance. You can take steps in any direction. Id like to see what you think the stance is during fighting. Link me? One of the main reasons for using the wc fronton stance during a fight is so you can easily use all limbs quickly, some at the same time. Most of the Grandmasters under Yip man teach/taught that you fight that stance, except leung ting who developed his own footwork.

  • @GuamKomudo - Nope, you're absolutely right, that stance is for training purposes only.

  • @crapometer3 my crap o meter is reading "maximum"

  • @kwansao haha lol

  • @darkside1999 : Yeah but Nick is doing his 'cage' fight! Bra ha ha ha! All movie stars Wing Crap is Turd-itional, including Robert Downey Jr. Brah ha ha ha.......
