Another "edited" version (as was the "hit single", which left out the Brazilian lyrics and most of Stan's extended solo in the middle); this one is missing Astrud's initial vocal chorus AFTER the Brazilian rendition. The original lasted five minutes.

this is "bossa nova", not jazz.

What makes you think those two things are mutually exclusive? Just as there are zillions and zillions of songs from musicals (Great American Songbook standards) that have been performed as jazz tracks, there are jazz performances of bossa nova tunes as well.

Both participated in the making of this music. There was a split and then they have reunited for concerts. Like so many gifted artists. Imagine if they could all just get along!? hahaha
