Croatian economy reached level of 1989 in 2010 thanks to LOANS from IMF

DEBT based economy is not sustainable. Especially when you have Croatian politicians stealing what is left of state owned companies.

HDZ or Croatian Democratic Union is still in power in Croatia since 1990. Same people for 21 years. Corruption has to be there.

CROATIA wanted independence from YUGOSLAVIA in 1991 and they got it.

Thinking they will live and have standard of living like people in Austria and Germany , if They embrace Capitalism.

Just the opposite happened. CROATIA today is worse than it was in 1989.

@marinhcst Da u pravu je u vezi korupcije i stanja u državi.... Glavno da su Bugarska i Rumunjska totalno zasluženo ušli u EU 2007., bitno da je u njima bilo stanje više nego savršeno, a 1000 puta naprednija Hrvatska nije im ni blizu. Evo što ja mislim o EU: neka odjebu od Hrvatske pička im materina lopovska! Žele nam otet državu! Po čemu su Bugari i Rumunji bili spremniji od nas? Dokad ćemo pustati da nas gaze? Nabijem ti na kurac bagru iz EU i vlade!

I am from Croatia and I think Croatia should make WHOLE lot of changes. but I advise Mr Helmer at least to spend more time in Croatia and then make his remarks and give us facts and numbers.
