  • very nice version, but where is the extended part of Swedis Rhapsody #1 Ritchie Blackmore plays at 8:40?

or was that the Made In Europe version? can't remember...

  • @D3sdinova no ,he played the same in Lazy (made in japan album).

  • @tariksba

    oh ok,thanks

i never can't find that version on youtube

i always love it when Ritchie plays stuff like that in the middle of a solo

  • Definitely not off of Made in Japan which to me was the best version, better than the studio version.

  • this is Live in Japan version isn't it? well made in japan was one mix from the three concert in live in japan

  • this guys were on their early 20's back then!! real Rock LONG LIVE DEEP PURPLE!!

  • ETALON!

  • song that formed my life

  • Real ROCK !!!!! :) :)

As it was meant to be...

  • Oh God, YEAH !!!

  • Can't beat this. Greatest rock n roll ever

  • loooooooove it :D

  • This song is about me!

  • Can't hear anything... got some watts?

  • Da best...

  • Blackmore is just crazy guitarist ever/ his solo is from another galaxy!!

  • I had this album when I was 9 years old. It was an LP and went around 33-1/3 times per minute. I started hittin' the piss outta drums and such 4 years later. I did not see this lineup of MUSICIANS until 1987, 15 years later. Their encore was a fucking Beethoven symphony! Nuff said!

  • it is sad that when you type "lazy" only thing you get is bruno mars :/

  • 8 didn't care about true rock...

  • @MegaBdowell Thank you! Cheers to you too, sir!

  • album i have is recorde on the 16th and 17th osaka and tokyo its a lot better than this

  • f.... beautiful

  • why hasnt any 1 got the true vinyl version of this album

  • @TheDaf1956 ?v=dplXrWh-X38 I think you,ll find this is the one you mean....

    The best version!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheDaf1956 - I do, and I was also smart enough to buy it on CD for daily use to avoid ruiining the original. PVH1962@hotmail.com. Greetings from Belgium

  • @platter1000 I concur, sir. Made in Japan is a classic stoners' album! Even to this day!

  • This is not the original 1973 version. Yeah, that's right, 1973. Not 19 fuckin' 72. Look on the recording. It was copyrighted in 1973. The year of its release. Not the year of its recording. Which was 1972. Of course!

  • @jeffreygaudreault Thats right, the true '73 version has got the definitive killer organ / guitar interplay goin on. That version has Blackmores finest chops n riffs showcased in it - I reckon anyway! :)

    Cheers,

  • The best live album ever!

  • what a classic stoners album this was....and still is for that matter

yeah Yeah YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ow owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww oooooooooooooooooooo my soul

    qFRMmZpK0uc&feature=related

  • This is NOT from the original vinyl album Made in Japan from 1972 ...Ive got like 5 worn out copies of it. This is good however and J Lord demonstrates a bit mor classical skill. But dont announce it as the real record coz its not, plz!

  • ESta no es la versión del Made in Japan (aunque sea cojonuda)

  • A me non sembra tratto da : made in japan..

  • this is a GREAT album to smoke on the water to @WeRnotSchizophrenics

  • I've been told by a trusted source that there is a section missing about 2/3 way through, where Blackmore goes into a totally different direction.

  • PURE PIECE OF CRAP. THIS SHIT FUCKING SUCKS !

  • @punk4561 , Cos your a total retard n know NOTHING about NOTHING, perhaps mugging very little old ladies to get your daily fix, Get a life and a job "Monkey breasts" ....

  • @squarielman DEEP PURPLE IS PURE PIECE OF CRAP. THAT'S JUST MY OPINION DUDE...

  • @punk4561 why are you (probably) watching/listening to the video and placing comments if you hate it?

  • @klaazzz4 Because i Like To Annoy People

  • @punk4561 Fuck your opinion arsehole..fucking die already !!

  • @arealbladeofgrass wow i think the lady gone mad...

  • @punk4561 Then why listen to it asshole?

  • Deep Purple kicks ass!

  • Wtf?? This is way different to the version on my Made In Japan vinyl album?? I would have to say the version I have is far better too!

  • Having forgotten my keys, I had just broken into the family home for breakfast, my mates and I were chowing down at the kitchen table (Quaker Harvest Chrunch) after two hours of hard rugby scrimmage, it was 9am and this song was blaring as the cops surrounded the house, and knocked on the front door......... and I had no ID.......or keys......and ps: this is certainly not off Made In Japan - an off take perhaps (guitar is dead and it sounds like rehearsal)

  • Having forgotten my keys, I had just broken into the family home for breakfast, my mates and I were chowing down at the kitchen table (Quaker Harvest Chrunch) after two hours of hard rugby scrimmage, it was 9am and this song was blaring as the cops surrounded the house, and knocked on the front door......... and I had no ID.......or keys......

  • incredible. that was great music. fuck the money makers.

  • Oh man this version has parts missing! Bummer :(

  • this swings!

  • Maybe half a dozen bands had the musical genius and the artistic prowess to make the best out of their creations both in the studio and in live performances. Deep Purple is one of these very few blessed groups of musicians. They are GODS of the mystical element that is music. We can worship them or accept that their creations are above our understanding, but doubting them would be nothing less that blasphemy. Sometimes when I listen to something else, I feel like a cheater or a false worshipper.

  • They were lazy when they wrote this song. I mean the melody is literally based on a blues schema and that's an easy way to write a song. The lyrics are also average. Dissapointing song.

  • @dustiking714 man , stop doing drugs

  • @RockAli22 What do you mean? That his is an example of ecxellent, original songwriting?

  • @RockAli22 What do you mean? That this is an example of excellent, original songwriting?

  • who do u think would win in a fist fight - ACDC OR METTALICA???

on that subject - deep purple or led zeppelin

  • on the original lp the songs where made on seperate dates thats why.

    1. highway star 16th august 1972 Osaka

    2. child in time 16th august Osaka

3 smoke on the water 16th august Osaka

    4. the mule 17th august Tokyo

    5. strange kind of woman 16th aug Osaka

    6. LAZY 17th august Tokyo

    7. space truckin 16th august Osaka

this is the original lp made in japan

  • this is not the original version i got the lp and the cd of the concert and its way of so dont know what version this is

  • For the people commenting that this version isn't the same as the original Made in Japan record....there was some sort of three-disc version put out in the last decade that contained all three nights of the concert at that venue. I'd assume this is from that CD set.

  • this is not the original, I listened to this album a billion times, and as much as this kicks ass, this is not the original live album, this is a bit different.

  • Ritchie Blackmore & David Gilmour. In my Opinion the best musicians in the world.

  • This isn't the version that appears on the "Made in Japan" album---it swings the same but it must be from another show on the tour. Thanks, Purple Channel People!

  • I'm gettin' a woodie just hearing this...

  • Bollocks! I need some bigger speakers. And a twist.

  • Das ist Musik mit Gänsehautgarantie

  • van halen is a poser

  • This is deffo the very best song on this MAGNIFICENT album. One of the 10 absolute best albums ever made.

In this song they really show what they can do with their instruments. I especially love the duet between Ian Gillan & Richie Blackmore.

  • these guys were great and up there with the stones and floyd the beatles zep...they wrote some great tunes...this is one of the best ever live rock albums to get fucked up to

  • @platter1000 yes, it is. man, i grow great weed, but the colombian i used to smoke to this album used to get me so stoned i couldnt find my head

  • @SuperNomad420

man, your head is here, on youtube ... heare the singing and the banjo, the drum'n bass, at least the beast ... jon ...

  • Deep Purple and behind them Led Zeppelin and Queen are the best of rock n roll-hard rock music

  • Having to live in the same planet with 5 stupid idiots makes me sick!!!

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡ A C O J O N A N T E !!!!!

  • This isn't the MIJ one, the MIJ version has a more annoying intro.

  • ... and again Ritchie (and the whole band) wipes up the floor with all that posers ...

  • HERE, deep purple shows, what no one could....

  • What 4 boneheads didn't like this? Must be Beiber fans! Eddie who?

  • @1962beachboy i'm thinking beiber fans myself, but think about it, these guys were in a totally different generation. i mean there was windopane acid back then. ow

  • Comment removed

  • @platter1000 yes, there was window pane. i did 4 hits of 4 way windowpane and went to see poltergeist at the movies. ha

  • rien à voir avec la VO MADE IN JAPAN

  • To me Deep purple's Made in Japan is the best musik and

    presentation in my life

and if I maybee mist something?

I donth care thise was wort spending the time I have

    in thise dimension

  • Love Blackmore but Eddie is the man. What these comments don't mention is that what ritchie and eddie have most in common is that they are both EGOMANIACS! Purple should have been way bigger. They are TEN times better than Zeppelin. Blackmore ruined that. Eddie WAS in the biggest band. He split with Roth and VH sucked with Hagar.

  • Yes, of course Deep Purple, as a band, were better than Van Halen, but Ritchie was never as good as Eddie. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Blackmore fan and in terms of feeling and emotion, he probably was the better of the two. But technically, and in terms of innovation, Eddie Van Halen was miles ahead of Ritchie Blackmore.

  • @felix3840 Oooooh....respectfully disagree. I like EVH and for that matter VH as a band. They were giants among their contemporaries (the ridiculous posers like...won't go there now). However, while in the same league of big boys, Blackmore has it over Eddie. Just an opinion. Blackmore infused jazz, blues, Bach classical, etc. with searing technical precision. Eddie was great but in the vernacular of a ice hockey, he was a 30 - 40 goal scorer (good) to Blackmore's 50-76 goal scorer (great).

  • This is NOT from 'Made in Japan'!

  • @MercyfulFart you are indeed correct, it was not on the original MIJ release. It was recorded on the "other" night from the two (or was it 3?) Japanese concerts which were recorded in 1972. It became available several years later when all the Japanese recordings were released.

This version was the reject!! What a band, eh?

  • @shearn666

    It was 3 ;-)

    And what a band, indeed

  • @MercyfulFart you are right i dont hear the best album ever-

  • @MercyfulFart Your right. This isn't from made in Japan

  • Bless the Lord

  • You talk MUSIC and say Van Halen sucks?? You dont know music..You dont play an instrument or you wouldnt write such's CRAB! learn to play then talk again..Eddie van halen could play all ritchie does, not the other way around..So suck it

  • genial es la mejor de Deep Purple

    Ritchie eres el nº1

  • I saw this tour in St. louis, 72 w/Deep Purple, Canned Heat and Uriah Heep for $6.00 at the old Kail Auditorium.

But you should have heard Seedking...

  • @jmet2244 You mean Keil auditorium!!! In the state of "Misery", I mean Missouri!!! L.O.L.

  • @TheArbiter74 Our Tax funding didn't go this homeland security and our trillion dollar losing drug war in the seventies when you saw that show, my friend. Ian Gillan would not approve. He's got a really cool website, check it out. A righteous, humble, humanitarian, who seems like he has a big heart. Bright guy, to say the least. Cheers, mate.

  • @jmet2244 Fuck, that's the state where the cops shot and killed a dog, traumatized little kids, and all they found was an empty cannabis pipe. That's kinda why I like to call it the state of ''misery", instead of"miss-your-e". While the high up law enforcement, i.e. C.ocaine I.mporters A.gency pollutes poverty stricken black neighborhoods in South Chicago and probably in Columbia, MO, as well, with the help of illegals, often times, with crack!!!

  • lazy I think this is called lazy

  • imho "made in japan" is best live album ever

  • fuck me thats good

  • I agree with you guys that this is not the one we got in our made in japan album, the one we all know was the one from the show in tokyo on august 17th (1972)

this one was from the show on august 15th (idk where) as it says in the title

  • how can I upload the song from my made in japan cd?

  • THIS IS NOT OFF OF MADE IN JAPAN >>>>>>IN HAVE MADE IN JAPAN and just listen to this song

  • @bjcrist1 I agree, I don'tthink it's from Made in Japan either. I haven't had the album in quite sometime, but I don't remembering it ever sounding like this.

  • Comment removed

  • my mom sent me a text now, and asked if I had heard this song x)

I replied:" Is this a hint?"

  • This isn't LAZY off of MADE IN JAPAN.!!!

I don't know which album it came from.

    It's definitely Purple.

On the Made in Japan version, the lead vocalist tells Ritchie Blackmore to shut up when he keeps playing between the first few series of vocals.

This sucks compared to Lazy from Made in Japan.

    Same album cover...different releases?

  • @djablues I agree this is not off made in Japan I know every note in that version we played record so much it skipped. This version is pretty cool but the other is better

  • Eddie Van Halen??????

    so fucking what!!!!!

I say Ritchie Blackmore kicks his ass TOTALLY

    Deep Purple made excellent music

Van Halen is a fucking third rate circus act by comparison

    Ian Gillian has the PIPES

  • @DoctorBob409 The great thing about Ritchie, and the deficiency of EVH, is that Ritchie 1* has righteous strings and 2* plays in so many different idioms even while keeping to his own particular style. Eddie is technically great but he sounds like he's stuck in 1987... Ritchie is stuck in several centuries at least...

  • @DoctorBob409 I agree, although none of us can deny that Eddie changes guitar almost as much as Hendrix did, not nearly as revolutionary, but revolutionary, nonetheless. And yes, Van Halen, for the most part, was a pretentious, contrived, circus!! L.O.L. I still like them. They were actually HUGE fans of Purple. Along with Sabbath and Zeppelin, Purple was part of the founding fathers of Hard Rock/Metal. The neat thing though, is they were fucking Jazz & classical, as well!

  • @DoctorBob409

Thats just ignorant nonsense from a totally inept fool. They are different. Both can co-exist in the great category. Im a guitar player and am old enough to see Blackmore in his day and Eddie. Any guitar teacher will tell you Blackmore cannot hold a candle to EVH in skill. They're not even in the same league--and I love Richie. He is like Page, great song writers(much better than VH in that respect). But your just a lame no nothing loud mouth with no knowledge of Rock

  • @Rizzy55

takes one to know one and hey looky here we have something in common after all

i know you are the lame o loud mouth how many songs do you have published ???

so have a nice day you ignorant totally inept fool.

christ the arrogance of some idiots

    nice try lame-o

    DEEP PURPLE ROCKS

VH IS A FRIGGIN CIRCUS ACT

    nuff said!!!!

  • @DoctorBob409 van halen is excelent but deepr purple is better

  • @DoctorBob409 "Had" the pipes.

  • @DoctorBob409

    Totally agreed!

  • @DoctorBob409 los mejores. sin mas

  • @DoctorBob409 both fucking great bands, rate first 5 from van halen.

  • @DoctorBob409 lolz

  • @DoctorBob409

    ok dude, just sayin' once:

Don't ever f*cking comparis bands like deep purple and van Halen etc. to each other, cause they're uncomparisble to each other. Lol i'm as high as heaven

  • great song by great band

  • whos on harp

  • Ian Gillan

  • loverssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • really really awesome after all these fucking years !!!

  • @LVEIGA61

I can remember when my older Brother who was a DEEP PURPLE FREAK bought this double album and told me to keep my fucking hands off!!!

I cranked it every chance I got when he left the house.

I was 11 when this came out. I was hooked on DEEP PURPLE ever since.

I have it on CD now and crank it up in heavy rotation.

    BEST BAND EVER!!!!

You are right it still kicks ass after all these years.

When Rock music was ROCK MUSIC and not like all the faggy shit now adays!!!!

    DEEP PURPLE

  • I like this! Amazing track!

  • I bought this album when it was brought out for 25 dutch guilders en still treasure it.But still think wasn''t there best and isn''t hard to sing like a sick chicken when you are stoned.Deep Purple in Rock was the best for me! Andy Bos

  • this is NOT made in japan

  • It's just a rip off of " Steppin' Out

  • Original "Made in Japan" there's only one, and this song does not belong to him!

  • Made in Japan was made from 3 gigs performed between August 15-17. LIVE in Japan features all three nights. There's where this came of.

  • I wonder why if it is reckoned the best album (live) of all time, it has just 16665 views. Mah..

  • your a frikin cretin

  • really,it did not sound like the " made in japan" album, but it's Deep purple ,and i like every version of their songs.

  • for sure bro

    this version is great

the stuff my kids listen to is crap

  • @youngblood2222 I'm 14 and i listen mostly to hendrix ;)

  • mama mia, que banda ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • there are several made in japan albums out there, because they did play at different venues around japan at the time

  • This must be remastered or something, cus i have this Album and its not the same

  • made in japan? nooo, igual se agradeces, pero no es lo mismo mamá pasa una chaucha pa comprar pasas, que que te pasa ch...

  • genial, pura e simplesmente

  • Cheers dood,

the start sounds like a ufo coming down . And the rest doesn't disappoint!

    Cool

  • De lo mejor con Deep Purple!!!

  • somoene knows if theres a video of the concert?

  • no. Videos of the japan tour don´t exist

  • i`m lazy...

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • this is not the "made in japan" version.

but it's a good version ,one of my favourite tune of D.P..

  • Thanks! But it was hard to hear the harmonica solo... the guitar and organ cover that sound out, lol!

  • this shit won't load

  • It went the whole way for me... why isn't working for you?

  • Because we in-fucking-credibly don't give a dam.

    P.S.: this song is jesus

  • Jesus is this song.
