I got it. Running Vista - the only difference is that the localohost:1234 does not automatically show up in the internet video section (TVersity) for me to click. I had to manually insert, allow time to refresh. After refresh, the Open item would not work in TVersity but I was able to find the server on my PS3 and just clicked from there. Works just fine. Thanks!
Finally i did it !!! but I had to add item on my own at tversity internet video "mms://localhost:1234" and then open it. Moreover it's a bit lag between streaming from PC to PS3 :(

@Reavey89 As I don't run vista any more I can't really help you. All I can suggest is that you must be getting something slightly wrong (am I mean that nicely!) Everything must be EXACT.
Please check VLC is installed in C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC - if not, my batch files definitely won't work. If it's not, please post here where it is installed to and I'll make you a batch file that will work.

@kingpin91153 Are you on Windows 7? Because I am (have changed recently) and when I tried to set up for the football the other day it didn't work for me either. I will look into it and get back to you asap.

Never mind mate, sorted. But how do I get the channel to change on the ps3/xbox 360? Ive changed the channel on my laptop... but nothing happens on the ps3/xbox stuck on the old channel
@cottrell2909 when you change the channel on sopcast, you gotta click the refresh button on tveristy, then the ps3/360 will restart tveristy on the console (takes about 30 seconds) then you'll see the channell you changed on the stream after.
