My teacher played this as the postlude after church this sunday on the church's new Bluthner Grand (which is the most beautiful piano I've ever played by the way). I turned pages...
You're right. I added it as a musical joke. Haydn often played musical jokes to his audience. So I continued with the Haydn tradition. Haydn was very playful with his music.
This Kohler-Campbell has seen pretty constant use in our family since my parents bought it for me, second hand from a music teacher in Pendleton, Oregon, when I was 7 (63 years ago!) Stan's mom
I didn't know you were 7 when grandpa and grandma bought that piano. I was playing this very sonata for grandpa and grandma at the ranch using the electric wurlitzer you and Dad gave me for high school graduation way back in 1974. After I finished this sonata grandma said to grandpa and me "I didn't know this would become out of buying Sharon that piano a long time ago." 'This' meaning her grandson would be playing private recitals for her. Mom you gave me my first piano lessons when I was 7.
i was waiting for something more rock from his look
