  • OLYM-PIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

  • ha ha--the evil wilhemina--influenced my choice in women ever after!!!

  • ahhh yes- the mask of vulcan!

  • this is how i spend my new years eve 2011... living in nostalgia!

  • who remembers waking up 6 in the morning to watch this- LIKE if you do

  • @elitedouglaz1 I do

  • This made no sense, Hercules didnt get that strenght from a ring, but from being half God himself.

  • @greek1237

well not god, but a nephilim god,

    half angel, half human offspring.

  • @2hottie69Forever

Hercules was a half god. A demi God, off spring of a mortal and God. Hercules was both human and divine, Any of the half Gods were both. Not fullyGod, but at the same time not fully human.

  • Daedelus sounds like Beavis...lol

  • Man I remember now why I enjoyed this show so much as a child. But pretty hilarious as an adult. The ridiculousness and implausability of it all is a part of its charm.

  • I grew up watching reruns of this toon on Sunday mornings. Really brings me back to see them. Also makes me realize just how scarred my childhood was by trippy characters on TV (*shudders over the teenage centaur Newton*)

  • ...and then Hercules threw Daedelus into the great pit in Sparta...

  • i dont but that half goat kid creeps me the fuk out

  • whyd they stop making this id still watch it

  • I thought that voice in the song sounded familiar, then I see it's Johnny Nash.

When were these cartoons made? The 60s?

  • when i was young, i was very impress by this ring he had in his belt :-)

  • kick daedelouse's ass!

  • Great Zeus!!

  • HAHAHAHA, this is hilarious!

"That is the risk you must take my son"

  • I must have been 4 years old when I saw this show last. The thing I remember most was Newton, Herc's buddy.

  • Oh, man, I missed this show so much... so very, very much.

I think they need to remake the show for this day and age just so children today can understand just what quality entertainment actually is.

  • Man this is hilarious! They got some decent voices and

    sound effects going, don't they?

How about that weird vibe noise when Daedalus holds

up the head on a stick?

Too bad they don't list who did voices on these.

  • @GooglFascists The voice talent is list on IMDb as:

    Gerry Bascombe ... Newton

    Jimmy Tapp ... Hercules

    Helene Nickerson ... Helena

    Jack Mercer ... Daedalus

  • @retroclipps Thanks for some good information!

  • I love this theme song brings back such happy childhood memories

  • Iron in his thighs!!! thats what Helena said.

  • And so, Daedalus is undone by the implausible arts and crafts skills of mighty Hercules, as well as his own terrible eyesight.

...You know, I love how he grabbed that one random guard along with the girl and the king. Just because.

  • By the beard of Zeus!!!!

  • It looks as though you loaded it from a computer program, if so where did you get it :)

  • i named my bird after this cartoon, "Hey Herc!, Herc, what are we going to do now? Hey Herc! Hey Herc!"

  • Of course I never been high and that's what cartoons are about, to make you laugh..

  • I'd fuck the hell out of Helena.

  • In Windsor/Detroit on CKLW we had the HERCULES SHOW where they had a super-cheesy set with columns etc and flashing lights with some wrestler dressed up as Herc to present the cartoons. Even had a Newton character voicing off-camera. The kind of thing you'd only expect to see in some place like Mexico these days.

  • Damn, I can almost taste the cereal I'd be eating while watching this.

  • I laugh at the one where Willamean turns Helena into an Evil sorcerice...so cheesy

  • The singer is Johnny Nash. Look up the song "I Can See Clearly"

  • hercules looks a lot like superman

  • yep-today's so called cartoon makers can learn a few things from the classic cartoons like this one.

  • Where is the one where Helena is trapped behind a stone wall, and the only way for Hercules to save her is give up his ring that gives him his power on earth? An evil sorceress tells himif you remove 10,000 blocks 10,000 more will fall, unless you give up your ring!

  • I love the expression on his face at 3:52...and then Herc cracking the scepter over his head.

  • George Peed..the character designer for"The Mighty Hercules"TV Cartoons..he also design the cover art for the rerelease of "The Three Stooges"storytelling record..produced and released thru "Peter Pan"kids records.

  • Love his pretty frail the gorgeous Helena

  • This cartoon series was creepy and EPIC during the 80's growing up!!! :D

  • I like this animated tv version of"The Mighty Hercules"than those patronizingly bad Disney Cartoons.

  • Thank you for posting this. It may be sentimental, but I haven't seen this cartoon since my boyhood dys. All these years later, I still know the theme song. Please post more (if you have them) or direct me to where I can find them. Thanks again for allowing me to escape middle-age and enjoy my youth, although briefly.

  • so Herc carved that scale stone statue of himself in the minutes it took for Deadelus to find him?

  • Daedalus. You had one fucking job, to turn Herc into stone.

Good job on that. You got your shit slapped by a screaming dude with retard strength.

  • I remember watching these"Hercules"TV cartoons weekday evenings and afternoons on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC.John Zacherley was the first to show these films..later..the mc's were:"Officer Joe","Capt.Jack" and Ms.Carol Corbett.

  • @TheStanbabe Waaaahoo! I saw these on 'PIX', myself.

(Don't try to figure out my age, LOLOLOLOL).

  • Great memories of childhood. Channel 11-WPIX, if I'm not mistaken.

  • 5:05 ORGASM!

  • WTF is with that ring? WHAT HELL IS THIS THE H LANTTERN?!

  • watched this every morning before school cool herc cool!

  • The mighty Jerkules :)

  • Brings back good memories of when I was a young girl. We could only watch cartoons at lunch time or on Saturday mornings. Nice memory.

  • Thanks for Posting.Love these Cartoons.A Deep part of my Childhood.and the thme song is sung by Johnny Nash.Cool ,now that's History.

  • Thanks for Posting.Love these Cartoons.A Deep part of my Childhood.

  • Hercules looks just like Superman!

  • 5:15=While he's there, he can tell GovernorChirstine Gregoir a thing or 2

  • OMG! thank you for posting...i use to love this cartoon as a kid!

  • Hercules takes his dad's name in vain

  • Hercules killed his wife!

    "Wif a golf trophy"

    What a professional guy.

  • You sure this Hercules guy is the hero, 25 seconds into the opening & he's already blown up the sun. :T

    ...

So I finished it & here's what the few characters should do. Newton I'd say was the creepiest & should go die, Zeus needs a more deeper manlier voice, Hercules is a lie & should get a new hobby, Helena needs to be less of a wimp, & Daedalus...he needs to shave his mustache & beard, he should also get a new hobby as well.

  • @animemangalover08 I like the way he uses my state capital as a victory call. As for Daedalus, I think I recall eps where he flew like Superman. I thought he & his son Icarus used wax enforced wings to fly.

  • I have iron between my thighs.

  • daedelous looks jewish for some reason

  • A cloud turned to stone was falling from the sky but it was gonna hit nobody.

hercules intentionally ran toward the the falling stone so he could get hit by it. thats how badass hercules was by that time.

  • Wow, you could build an entire college course around the homo-eroric subtext of this show.

  • @LeCutter satan!

  • 4:47 "YOINK!!" Hahahahahahahaha!!

  • why did he catch the falling cloud if it wasn't going to land on anyone?

  • Wow Helena is hot!!

  • I didn't know that Ancient Greek women were blonde. Well, except for Phryne, of course.

  • Awe.

    Some.

  • WKBS tv 48 in Philadelphia

My God I miss the 70's!!!!!!!!!

  • Hercules looks like a homosexual Superman owo

  • They sure don't make them like this anymore. WOW !

  • @thezmanization true...tell yuo what the first episode was made sometime in 1936

  • @thezmanization true...tell you what the first episode was made sometime in 1936

  • @thezmanization Indeed. The overall production has a sweep and majesty lost in so much modern animation.

  • Not 'Iron in his thighs' or 'Fire in every part". O-Kaaaayyyyy.

  • He cracked that septre upside his big head @5:00...........HA,HA HA

  • He cracked that septre upside his big head...........HA,HA HA

  • Dejavu Clark Kent XD

  • I remember watching this cartoon when I was and I had alot of laughs because of daedalus foils and all of those explosions sound affects.

  • @1979cl1 You may not have been high. It's just the cartoon.

  • I like how Daedaelus just stands there and allows Hercules to crack him over the head with the sceptre instead of taking off.

  • OLYMPIAAAAA!!!

  • Is that Johnny Mathis singing the theme???

  • @ShortySOM - Close. It is Johnny Nash.

  • @ShortySOM Yes it is. Who was your favorite character? Mine was Newton when he said "Suffering Psyche". There was an Old Episode where he was voiced by another character, and he almost burned his tail and he started screaming, I fell on the floor laughing at that one. Hey did you ever see The Great Santa Robbery. It was also a Canadian Cartoon as well.

  • @ShortySOM No in reality it was Singer Johnny Nash. He had other hit records like "I Can See Clearly Now" and "Stir It Up".

  • @ShortySOM They say it's Johnny Nash, but it sounds like Johnny Mathis to me, so he gets my vote! :)

  • I watched this in black and white!

  • GREAT ZEUS!

  • Caraca, bicho! Eu lembro desse desenho!

    UAHSHUAUSA,

    passava no SBT

  • @sixchiensblancs :Thank you!

  • 5:06

  • After all these years, I thought this had been dead and buried. I prayed for it to have been dead and buried. I hated that freaking centaur character so bad, I always wanted to see him end up falling over a cliff onto the jagged rocks below. I'm just sayin'.

  • @BondoFox Ha ha ha.... well, you're not alone, I hated the little creep too.... Can't remember his name though...

  • @BondoFox OH yeah!!! Newton!!! Herc Herc!!!!

  • What happend to the other episode that was posted here ( Search For The Golden Apples ) ?

  • What The F... KABOOM!!!

    I'm pietrified.

  • OLYMPIA!!!

  • The Dean of my school was one of the animators for this!! haha

  • He crack that sceptre upside his head at 5:00

  • @david08060 Awesome comment!!!

  • omg.this is the worst cartoon ever.hercules is like a super man and in the office there are a pappers that in ancient mythological greece they donn't exist. -.-

maybe the story is good but the clothes resembles to more newest years -.-

  • Comment removed

  • @lostmemoney No, it's "Hercules will think twice before DEFYING me again."

  • Ya Killin me

  • oh yeah herc rocked

  • Great cartoon! I love the theme song by Johnny Nash.

  • hi im dean in your class

  • Awesome!! I've been looking for these cartoons forever!

  • Boy talking about T.V. influencing kids. I'm African American, when I was a kid, we would wake up on Saturday Mornings, eat Cheerios Cereal and then go watch Hercules. Afterward we would slick our hair back with pomade and make a curl in the front and play "Hercules" - Damn I laugh just thinking about it. This was back in 1966, 1967. I also remember our neighbor getting an Album called "Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" and we were laughing at the Album title. Boy memories.

  • listen to that dude belt out the theme song!

    ...harsh.

    sweet show though. soooo sweet.

  • @mazzapazz That's Johnny Nash - He also sings "I can see clearly now the rain has gone" 1970 I believe when that came out. Went to see him in a concert back in '71 with a group called David Gates and Bread. That was at PMC now Widener College.

  • i cant belive we watcked thos crap LOL

  • helena sounds horny

  • He can't be all that evil.......... He's gettin everybody stoned!!

  • @darkman3 LOL true! Only it's not WEED!

  • @darkman3 ............. 2 get stoned like that sure must be one helluva drug

  • This is LAME! Hercules w/o a beard is silly!~

  • narrations on cartoons...how cool...newton was a pain in the but repeating everything but great old tyme cartoons would love to be able to get copies made...thanks for the treat

  • cartoons back in the day had narrators like the old radio shows...no wonder kids have no idea what's going on anymore...we had people telling us what was happening.....=)

  • They just had to make him look American.

  • Have anymore episodes of this series. Does anyone have any on dvd? I would like too get a set for me and my son. lol.

  • Does Daedelus not know that transporting historical Greek artifacts without a government permit is illegal?

  • Does Daedelus not know that transporting historical Greek artifacts without a government permit is illegal?

  • um maybe same but better Build :) its the face for the cartoon just abit yeah. Also I thought men were turned to stone not clouds or women thats just plain weird.

  • um maybe same but better Build :) its the face for the cartoon just abit yeah.

  • lol gay the newer one is better

  • kick daedelous's ass now!!!!!

  • How the years do change us. As a kid, I remember being dazzled by the heroism, mythological grandeur, flawless virtue, and assured justice ingrained in this series. Now, I still see how a child's mind could respond that way - but I also find myself thinking, "why can't Daedelus tell the difference between Hercules and an owl?", and, "If Hercules always caught Daedelus, how did Daedelus always find freedom again by the next cartoon?" Ah, well, life reshapes us as we go along.

  • what is his little goat friend's name? He always use to chant for Hercules when he got in trouble...

  • @sighznoname Hercules' friend is a centaur, named Newton in the cartoon.

  • @Tigerpaws9097826 THANK YOU!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • this is the only episode i remember lol

  • ...what the fucking hell did you just do to my eyes and ears?

  • some scrawny guy lifting a solid stone prolly 2-300 pounds over his shoulder like it was nothing.

ahhh childhood innocence at it's best because we thought it could be done! lol

  • Wouldn't that cloud turn to fine sand particles? Im just saying...

  • Herc shoulda just snapped dedalus's neck when he had the chance.

  • Did you notice the Hercules looks like the logo of Honda?

  • This is not realistic, no way can the scepter of Medusa turn a cloud into stone!

  • I watched this every day at lunch when I was a kid . It's part of my psche. Thanks for posting.

  • @guruuDev I watched it also. Remember Sinbad the Sailor, Diver Dan, Crusader Rabbit, Clutch Cargo, The Wacky Racers, The Cisco Kid, etc,?

  • @guruuDev Tom and Jerry in the mornings, and Hercules or Flinstones at lunch.

  • helena is smoking hot...

  • did he turn a cloud into stone? 2:20

  • LOL @ SMASHING IT OVER HIS HEAD!

  • This was good stuff. Cartoons from the late 60's and 70's were great. Funny how the half person/half animal thing would repeat everything it said.

  • lol I used to watch this every morning before I went to school! :)

  • He looks like superman.

  • Good to see an old friend.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! This was my favorite cartoon when I was growing up.

@velvety2006, I think it's the other way around JLA SUPERMAN looks like this HERCULES.

  • One guy does most of the voices.

  • I remember watching this show as a kid. Brings back memories :D

  • why on earth do they take greek myths and fuck them up????? goddddd tell the original story at least... A greek

  • Iron in his thighs hahahaha classic!

  • My dad saw me watching YuGiOh Gx. I let him watch it for a while and he got really confused.. He told me this is what he used to watch. I gotta admit it's good... how far we've come in animation technology.... ;)

  • I had to stop watching after 2 seconds... that singing is dreadful!

  • viejos recuerdos

  • Each time I see this episode it makes me laugh. What is so funny is the sound effects for the Septre of Medussa

  • Wait a minute, when he makes that cloud into a stone, wtf is hercules doing? Why is he trying to catch it, it's not like there's anything to save beneath it! this makes no sense and te animation is choppy.

  • the narrator is badass

  • Daedelus is so bad ass.

  • Thanks for the upload of this 1960's cartoon gem, dvorak20012000. Yeah, you have to admit it, it appears as though Trans-Lux™ cared not one iota for mythological accuracy, but how many realise that Pop crooner, Johnny Nash, world renowned for his hit, I Can See Clearly Now, sang the opening theme? ~ (•8-D

  • I never understood why Daedelus was a bad guy. Also, they mix up names between the Greek and Roman names for the characters.

  • god his like superman

  • Yeah, I remember this, in fact for years I couldn't get the theme song out of my head.

  • I loved the show, it was totally old school!

  • I watched it from age 7 and up! That is TOTALLY old school!!!!!!!! Loved. It's!
