Thank you for the lesson I enjoy and be enchanted by that as you are a wonderful teacher and you trully know how to do it and show us step by step slowly as most of the teachers here don't. Congratulations I am from Brasil.
Do you mind telling me what kind of watercolour paint you use? My grandpapa bought me this average looking water colour paint from "Stevenson's" -this one doesn't seem to have the same effect as yours. You are able to achieve those dark rich greens. I don't have a full range of opacity for mine :( What brand do you use?
You're an excellent teacher and artist ! I just bought all my needed supplies to get started and I look forward to learning from you, thanks so much !
You are the best on the internet that I found, because you put on long video's, clear explanations, & I actually understand & can do what you are showing, I was about to give up on watercolor. Thank you for your generosity, I wish you where my neighbor I'd visit often, & drag you out for plein air ooo I have flowers blooming all over & don't know how to paint them w watercolors. Like a peach or crab apple tree w Appalachian mountains behind them. Beautiful!
How would you say this sort of thing would look with thinned poster colours? (not taking into account the painter's skill,or lack of it in this case ;-) )
Hi Bob, I'm so glad I ran into your videos I love your style of teaching lol "that parts getting light and that part AINT!" You got yaself a new subscriber ;-)
Hi Bob. I've watched all your tree painting videos and loved them. You make it look so easy! Very inspiring. Now I'm definitely not the artist you are but for your foregrounds I think you should also try painting wild flowers or mushrooms something instead of the shadows of imaginary trees. Maybe you've already painting something with wildflowers in the foreground; I'd love to see a video of it, that's for sure!
Bob, thanks for your very generous sharing! I'm getting much more from your tutorials than from my college art classes. And your website is excellent. Looking forward to receiving your newsletter.
the 'Post comment box won't let me put an e-mail addresson. However, if you go to any of the 'painting trees' vids, you'll see my website address on there at the start and finish. Go to the site and look up the 'contact' page.
Thanks for your watercolor lessons. You are a good teacher. I'm trying to do what you teach, but the results are not so good as I hoped. I'll try again and again.

awsome could u give a couple of tips to use the watercolour pensils,
charleshersir 4 years ago
Hi Carlos.
Watercolor pencils are different from watercolor paints. You can use them like ordinary colored pencils and leave it at that.
Or, if you drag clean water with a brush over what you've drawn, it spreads the color.
Or you can scribble some color onto scrap paper and use your wet brush to pick this up as 'paint'.
Try all 3 techniques to see which works best for you.
Cheers
Bob
