@MFizzle777 I used them back in the day. I have never run them on a flybarless setup. I may grab a set and give them a whirl on my 700 though.. Although I may wait until the Goblin 600 comes out, to many 700's already laying around at the moment.
@TheycallmeNads Thanks, I have come a long way since this video was shot. Just need to remember to take the camera out one weekend and shoot some more.
@MFizzle777 Orientation is the key to not crashing. If you can get comfortable in all orientations it becomes much easier to practice in RL instead of just a sim. I am very confident that regardless of what orientation my heli gets into I can probably recover it. Except this past weekend, nothing will recover folded blades during a blade stop...
I don't get it? Why do people click dislike video? You fly like a pro! What is it they disike? Maybe they dislike you wont buy them one! Nice flying anyway!!!!
Did you send in your ESC, or still using the one that came with the kit? I'm just hovering mine around, and it's getting HOT! And how much pitch do you have? I had mine set up with just 4 (learning), but I need more so it rolls better. And what do you have your gain set at? Thanks
@Yumaironwood I have not returned my ESC for the update. I might later on once they clear their backlog but its doubtful. As far as pitch and cyclic ranges I use 13 degrees of pitch positive and negative and 11 degrees of cyclic on both my elevator and aileron. My ESC gets upwards of 135 degrees when flying around hard. If you are just hovering yours may end up hotter as a result of inefficiencies at lower power outputs. I would verify the settings you are using in the ESC.
@YarielOmar1 Yes, everything in that heli box stock. The only thing additional I use is a Futaba 3ch S-bus receiver. I personally fly Futaba so I use the 3GX S-Bus support to attach a Futaba receiver. I also fly a LiFe pack instead of a Lipo so I do not use the BEC or tail step down that comes in the kit. I fly everything on 6.6V for the increased response time and higher torque.
@blueabyss1 I use the "SET RPM" mode in the speed controller. I let it govern to keep my heli at 2400, in order to get around the fact that the castle does not want to govern at that speed I set the avg voltage to 48 volts. It will maintain 2400 as long as it can then basically switch to a 100% flat curve. I prefer the govern mode over a flat curve since I sometimes pitch pump from high altitudes and do not like the way the heli sounds as the head over revs.
@blueabyss1 Setup is full stock except I dropped the BEC and Tail Choke in place of running a straight life 6.6 pack through the receiver and all servos. Head speed is 1750 in hover, 2400 IDLE 1, 2400 IDLE 2. Speed controller is Normal timing 8khz. I run 4000 mah packs from Blue Lipo (30C).
Hey There..Chancey thanks for getting back,,so where you fly at ? yeah weather perfect now:))

@Yumaironwood I use Normal Timing and 8khz PWM. Head speeds are 1750 in normal and 2400 in IDLE 1 and 2.
