  • I watched the intro sequence, and intro credits and I've never Nerd raged so much.

The CGI added nothing to it, and it was just tacky. I would rather have the worser pictured original, than all that CGI crap in my Ghost in the shell.

  • i agree with the oryginal being better but this is worth bying to

  • クソCGwwwwwwww

  • I think the CGI breaks the overall look of the anime. It just feels out of place and doesn't even look that good. I gotta question what possible contribution CGI could give here. It doesn't make ghost in the shell better.

  • TITS TITS TITS

  • It almost looks like a remake. Does this version tell the story better?

  • @goldensolder44 no, just a remake with better graphics and awesome sound.

  • Remastered by adding a bunch of CGI that makes it look like a Final Fantasy cutscene..why

  • @KOTYAR0

    to 1.:

Umm... thats a movie soundtrack, too. It comes near the end of the movie.(sorry for my bad english.)

  • Really like the re-created soundtrack in this version. I was watching the original recently and thinking that this piece needed to be fleshed out a bit more... exactly how it is here! I don't own 2.0 myself yet, I will grab it asap.

  • a video well done!

  • i still say ghost in the shell could be on tv till this day they still run re runs on cartoon network at 3 n the mouring on saturday but they way it is set up wit politics and goverment and the mysteries of the "MAJOR" it could still go on it only went 2 season we need more but anime do these thing they make what they make and just leave bitch lol

  • I LVOE THE MUSIC !!!

  • @Garesque Me too. Kenji Kawai is incredible.

  • I own both 2.0 and the original version

  • @MegaSOSbrigade Yes but the real question here is, do you own Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence? o_o

  • @Zipcodeking

I do, and SAC and 2nd Gig

  • @MegaSOSbrigade Bravo good friend...bravo.

  • hows this version of the sound track called? i like it better then "Making of Cyborg" version

  • The CGI looks really cheap and just a lazy effort...shame.

  • when i first got introduced to anime i watched ghost in the shell

it was the only thing that moved me inside at the time

nothing has ever done that to me

it was a moving pieces of art what they did to Ghost in the shell 2.0 was just horrendous

i hope they listen to their fans

  • The strings ruin this amazing song. :C

  • why the animation of GITS movies are different than in series. I have first seen the series and now when I am watching it I have feeling like watching another anime

  • @adasttSvk totally different companies, actually these movies arent even connected to stand alone complex theyre both just based off of the manga

  • Love the trailer, but not the CGI changes made to the movie. Why did they change the color scheme to orange and replace some ICONIC scenes with CGI? Ugh. Seems pretty pointless.

  • yey boobs

  • I've double checked this - they did actually CGI the opening scene ... WHAT THE FUCK?! Why would they do that? I mean they seem to have also done something with the traditional animation too but that looks fine; couldn't they have left it at that?

  • the originals the best

  • Both versions > Everything else.

  • It's like when George Lucas re-did Star Wars eps IV, V and VI. Honestly, I don't notice much of a difference except for a little more eye-candy but not enough to justify owning it. But if this is a marketing ploy for a potential new series... hey, cool. I'm all for it.

  • wow this trailer is pretty fantastic.

exactly what it needs to be.

  • so they make a remake they think its impruved. so we dont care we still watch the old one.

  • 1080 HD, esto es genial :D!!!

  • So many fanboys hate new things. Honestly, if you prefer one version, that's cool. Its just the visuals, its not like the whole freaking movie is changed.

The new version looks more realistic, the original is good for nostalgia and hardcore fans. End of story.

  • @LordXehenniar the visuals is the whole freakin' movie. you might as well be watching a different movie. FILM MAKING is the art of video montage.

  • This is stupid the new CGI looks so out of place and doesn't match at all they really should leave the classics alone

  • is there any new scenes with this version

  • Old or New version, it's still better than any of the Animation we have here in America. Why, with all the talent we Americans have, can not create a masterpiece such as Ghost in the shell, Akira, Steam boy or hell I'll even throw in the classic Ninja Scroll...why can't we come up with anime as such??? Instead we have crap animation like Batman and beyond, The Simpsons. And I'm not talking CGI animation (Shrek shit), I talking straight up hand crafted, pain staking hours of artistry.

  • @TheXecutioner09 you missed DBZ :P

  • @TheXecutioner09 Fantasia. That's all I have to say.

  • @rcarlson1993 wow...one film?!

  • @TheXecutioner09 Fantasia's really two films, but whatever. And I don't see why CGI shouldn't count. Pixar's films (except Cars) are all better than the vast majority of animations from Japan or anywhere else. I'd say Wall-E > Akira > The Incredibles > Ghost in the Shell > Finding Nemo. They're all in the same ballpark.

America, particularly Disney, perfected the techniques that all anime rely on. Japan just went farther in producing adult-exclusive animation. (Also, Ninja Scroll sucked.)

  • @rcarlson1993 That's BS, all u have to do is look at all the American animation currently on televison, it in no way compares to Japanese animation, even the new Marvel cartoon coming to American TV was created in Japan. And everything you mentioned is digital animation. That's much much different than the artistry it took to create a Ghost in the shell, Akira. Not sitting there on a computer for hours as in creating a Nemo etc.

  • the new version is much MUCH better.

  • old version = best shit ever cgi = literally shit

  • boobies on youtube lolololololol jk

  • the New version wasn't bad.

  • Tell the whole movie trough the trailer... as a huge fan I am I have to say this just sucks

  • Wamdue Project - King Of My Castle

  • IT'S

    NOT

    THE

    SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

  • Bought the blu-ray... the cgi sucks... cannot watch the rest of the movie now... how can they fuck this movie so bad? Can't believe...

  • WOAW perfect !

  • I've seen most of 2.0, and I gotta' say, the only thing I think they should've CGIed was the tank battle, the tatchkoma scenes, and a couple of the gun fights. everthing else shouldn't have been alttered from the original. But that's like, my opinion, man.

  • @VoltOptConstruct good point man... I bought the blu-ray japanse box which was the 2 version in High definition soo... I have nothing to complain...

  • @umar8023

thanks i went to the stream site and used real player downloader to download... i haven't watched it all yet but i can do do whenever i please haha... but from what i've seen, i think it's just as good as the original (but not better)...

  • The trailer basicly showed the whole movie.

  • maybe but im not sure still the old one is better...

  • The design of Motoko Kusanagi in SAC> in GITS Movie

    No?

  • The CGI Scenes sucked and the color scheme change was unnecessary. The original was a classic.

  • Just in case you idiots didn't know, this movie integrated Computer Generated Imagery into its visuals as well. However they were seamlessly combined with the regular 2Danimation.

  • @infinityblablabla practically everyone knows that, it's one of the reasons why it's famous. But the problem is that when kusanagi is made completely with a CGI model in certain shots it stops the film being consistent, therefore distracting the viewer

  • why did they need this? I liked the original style MUCH more...

  • Tengo la Sensación de que me Acabn de contar Toda la Pelicula... Idiotas.....

Trailer Mis Huevos... Es como el tipico Niño molesto que te Cuenta el Final...

  • The first thing i though after watching this movie was "Fuck The Matrix"

  • Boobs.

  • Best fucking cyberpunk-themed movie ever. And the anime, manga and other movies are as good as this one. Wonderful - and I mean WONDERFUL - work.

  • @rameshdhimal lol... spam fail

  • @rameshdhimal that has nothing to do with this movie did you even watch it

  • I understand they wanted to keep the visuals consistent with Innocence, but I still prefer the original for some reason. I do appreciate some of the remastering though. Soundtrack hasn't left my play-list in years...

  • slow at the beginning, haha looks pretty good. i doubt it but it looks pretty decent. You can find freecartoons-us for this cartoon by the way... Se ya!!!

  • The 2.0 re-colouring is making the movie much more beautiful and it is not really trailer .. much more like full movie in summary :-(

  • se "ghos in the shell" era bellissimo, questo "2.0" è, semplicemente perfetto.

da vedere e rivedere, a oltranza!

  • oh how i love the theme of the movie

  • Just an amazing piece of craftsmanship.this movie that you can find on freecartoonsus is funny, extremely moving, and also very suspenseful!

  • I bought this edition. It's remastered and looks much better than the origonal, but they literally have, like, three bitty parts that are actually re-done in CG. Worthwhile for the hardcore fan.

  • Old version > New version

  • @SuperAdams38 I agree with you but... whatever the version... this anime is epic... one of the Greatest sci-fiction ever!!! the song is perfect!!!!

  • Instead of whining about the ridiculous trailer, I find it appropriate to mention the movie itself: it's fantastic. I've watched it several times now, and it still manages to amaze me over and over. A cinematic masterpiece, and presuming you haven't allready - it's a must see.

  • what amazing minds

  • why in the HELL did they trade in some of the original animations for 3D sequences? Don't mean to sound like an old gramps but the old animations should have been kept in as well.

  • @03two

I agree with you. The opening sequence, when Motoko jumps from the building, was better in the old version...

  • @03two yeah, or they should've remade the whole thing in 3D - like this it doesnt make any sense at all.

  • well they just shown like 90% of the film lol

  • This movie is over 10 years old, but it's still better than all anime now. Why?

  • This was more a booby trailer...for me..

  • they really should've left some scenes as they were, without the CGI (or at least without kusanagi CGI'd", like at the beginning and in the diving scene)

  • @ninjawhale03 Yea I LOVED the old begining ...

  • @ninjawhale03 I agree. the beginning when Major is falling off the top of the building should have been left alone. It was beautiful enough without the cgi.

  • Oshi effectifly pulled a Lucas/spielburg by taking one of his most loved works and butchering it- the artwork was as it was- to color swap it, only sabotaged it, and the scene swapping with cgi only cut out some tallented hand drawn work. it was a blatant attempt to force gits to look like gits2 and its sad that i bought it just so they could force us to compare the unupscaled dvd to blu-ray and expect us to thing it was better! ORIGINAL IN BLU-RAY- NOW!

  • @ninjawhale03 I kind of disagree. She looks a lot better in CGi than in the original...but the original is the original so...

  • que tremenda cosa... esa

  • I love how this song still gives me the chills. <3

  • i love how the "trailer" is just a bunch of spoilers

  • Is this the orignal film or a like a cgi version for blu ray?

  • @KevsHardLemonade its remasterd with new cgi and its for blue ray

  • One of the best sci-fi movies EVER.

  • this trailer shows too much of the movie ,

still is an epic cyberpunk film

  • Is it just the original movie?

    Full details please

  • @TheBubblegumPrince iits remasterd with present day cgi

  • @metallavery There are a few CG scenes and some new sound effects. That's all. what a rip off.

  • i prefer the original 1995 movie

  • wtf, I would not mind the cgi, but the cgi looks like crap, low quality cgi. i would think if they were gonna try and infuse cgi, they would at least put half the effort they put into the actual animation

    disappointed severely

  • @sgtOOX the CGI looks great. The problem is, it doesn't blend well with the traditional look of Ghost in the Shell. I don't know if you've seen the sequel or not, but the 3D/CG work in that film is INCREDIBLE.

  • @TetraVaalBioSecurity yea. its the same with star wars. it looks off even though it might have be conserded cheap looking today doesnt mean its bad. and most people dont mind

  • The Cgi completely ruins the movie.

  • Loved this movie, but I havent seen this newer edition. Judging by the trailer I agree with micahely though.

Leave the CGI for a future remake. I would like to see a properly done CGI/Live Action of this.

I have heard some of the inspiration for "The Matrix" came from this movie.

  • if u like Inception u will like this movie:P remember this made in 1995 lol damn those japanese are crazy...

  • I was about to buy this thinking it was Remastered and put on bluray I didn't know they replace some of the most memorable scenes with CG that just looks so out of place.

I love the Film but damn glad i didn't buy this version.

Btw this isn't even like a Trailer why do anime trailers now a days just show nothing but scenes with out even telling you what the film is about? i guess it was made just for the fans if i didn't see this movie already i would be confused watching this.

  • @Phrygian12 the original movie is on there also.

  • @m1ggyzzz wow thanks i guess i'll pick it up then.

  • I don't think that there's a sequel coming out,at least not now...

Our Brains are already overheating with the existent material,so...

  • Hello,I'm currently on the second season of stand alone complex,so I have no answer yet,the puppet master was also refered as "project 2501" if this can help you to remember anything.Although there were two different producer on both movies and series,an easter egg would'nt be unlikely...

Technically SSS is the sequel of the 2nd gig so SSS can be considered as the 3rd gig.

  • is this a movie or anime? im confused....

  • @MrLPmankidthing

    Its an anime movie.

  • La verdad que no se porque le pusieron mas efectos por computadora. La pelicula estaba muy bien asi como la estrenaron en 1995. Al ponerle todos esos efectos chotos le quitan el encanto.

  • i always get goosebumps every time i see this scene 3:43 - 4:10

they way she makes her entire body push itself to its limit and surpass it by trying to open that hatch is just...i dont even have words of how amazing that scene is, and after she cant move or do anything and the "metal gear" xD grabs her and slowly crushes her head will there's nothing she can possibly do, just breaks my heart every time..then Batou comes out of FUCKING NOWHERE! and save the day! truly a phenomenal scene!

  • My all time favorite anime movie ever!

  • @figjamfred

What you're missing is any sort of distinguishable grammar and the ability to form a coherent sentence. Your profile says you're 37 years old, yet you can't use anything close to proper grammar or sentence structure? Seriously, if you want an answer to a question, learn to type the language in some sort of distinguishable form.

  • @tehGR1ZZ ur a dick just answer his question maybe hes a foriegner did u ever take that into consideration?

  • @beakydrill1999

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I offend you, too? When you're done crying, learn English (and how to type it).

  • @tehGR1ZZ Yes I agree with you tehGR1ZZ, theres just one little thing that you have had forgotten (or just did not care about ). the fact that this is the United States Of America and ... This is not the third or fifth grade (sorry I do not remember most of my childhood). But what I do remember is that this is the land of the free. And as I tell every one else who the hell are you to tell me OR. Do you see the OR, anybody else how to live their lives. Besides do you not send text messages.

  • @agentD99 BTW, I no that I did some mistakes myself. if U don't like some1's shi+ then do the worlds a favor & go play in traffic. (And if you still do not like the way that this message is going through then how about I just apologize?

  • @agentD99

And there's one thing you've forgotten. I can tell anybody how to live their lives (and to not be a moron), they just don't have to listen.

  • @figjamfred

1 Ghost In The Shell (the begining)

2 Ghost In The Shell Innocence.

3 Ghost In The Shell S.A.C.

4 Ghost In The Shell 2ng gig.

    Thats the Timeline in order.

  • @ThisIsRickyGervais

    Wrong.

    1. (A) Ghost in the Shell (Theatrical Movie) (B) Ghost in the Shell S.A.C

    2. Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig

    3. Ghost in the Shell: Innocence

  • You're both completly wrong,SAC series and movies are set in two different universes,

    Ghost In The Shell(1995)

    Innocence:Ghost In The Shell 2

Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex first, second GIG and Finally GITS:SAC:Solid State Society

  • does anyone know the name of this song?

  • @cpgxroidz

    no.

  • @figjamfred You are right, The movies are different from the tv series and the tv series movies.

Basicly, the tv series is how it would have played out if the movies never happend.

Basicly the most of the movie teams are the same as the tv teams and in the end, Shirov Masamune have greenlighted it all.

  • well done.

  • They put CG in it? One of the reasons why it's such a masterpiece is that the animation was effin' meticulous and solid.

  • I like the idea of Ghost in The Shell being in 3-D, but when its mixed in with 2-D it looks off. They should stick to one or the other and not mix it like that.

  • yeah. they could have tryed to make the charaters look more newer like they did in stand alone complex

  • Such a great video :)

  • hmm they should cross over deus ex with ghost in the shell.

  • 1 word describes this trailer, TRIPPY

  • The original was perfect.

The CGI in this movie really does look crappy, what were they thinking.

  • sigh.. I hate when they call anime ''cartoons''

  • @StavrosIMP is there a differene

  • @StavrosIMP what's wrong with telling the truth?

  • @StavrosIMP Anime is a type of Cartoon. It is a cheap, lazy style with a few standouts like Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop.

  • @NejiKusa I don't know if that's an accurate assessment. There are probably millions of anime; and just like there are hundreds of thousands of movies, only the 5-10% are outstanding. With any medium so over-saturated the majority are going to be bad.

  • @cozymonk It's different when out of a few thousand anime less than 1% are totally unwatchable.

  • Wow, they show the whole movie in this trailer, don't they

  • @bluealbedo at least we dont have to buy/get this, pretty much looks like they've raped the movie anyways.

  • I'm want to watch it!

  • Holy crap I forgot how terrifying Kusunagi's eyes are in this movie.

I have this but haven't watched it yet. I didn't know it actually switched to full CG in places. That seems kind of jarring.

I hope that live action version gets made, it could be interesting.

  • this move is about life, and being alive, in a creepy way.

  • @yuri142

And would you compare it to Akira?

  • Why did she brake herself like that when she was pulling on the spider tank thing??

  • @Levisem17 she don't care about her body, she has more body spare parts,

if you watch the movie carefully you might get the clue that she realizes that she is not an individual, she did saw other cyborg that looks like her,

so i assume she thinks that she is just another robot with a fake data as a memory.

  • Man the major looks so cold in this movie. So lifeless, and yet it's so badass.

  • This is some weird shit!

  • I hate this trailer. It gives too much of the story away. The CGI is totally over done. The original is way better.

  • @JrockMina hi you've seen this right? i believe there are some movies and ova's other then the anime series where should i start from in order to figure out the story?

  • @pavlo666lost From what I know, the manga would be your best bet.

  • @JrockMina yea the trailer sucks, but the cgi didnt really ruin anything since this is the original.. with better animation..

  • Well, do not know who made the clip itself, but it sure is a masterpiece the clip in its own way. Congrats for that!

Regarding Gits 2.0, well it sure has a lots of CGI, but don't criticize it because GITS 2: Innocence sure is spectacular thanks to it. Lets just say that some scenes have a more contrast look than I think they hoped :)

  • Wow, the transitions from 2D to 3D are too overdone.

  • ok so this is Ghost In The Shell the first movie but reanimated and with some 3d scenes ?????????????????????????????????

bit confused about this i have seen both movie but that was a long time ago

  • @trinii2debone

    It's the 2.0 remake.
