I watched the intro sequence, and intro credits and I've never Nerd raged so much.

The CGI added nothing to it, and it was just tacky. I would rather have the worser pictured original, than all that CGI crap in my Ghost in the shell.

I think the CGI breaks the overall look of the anime. It just feels out of place and doesn't even look that good. I gotta question what possible contribution CGI could give here. It doesn't make ghost in the shell better.

Pixar's films (except Cars) are all better than the vast majority of animations from Japan or anywhere else. I'd say Wall-E > Akira > The Incredibles > Ghost in the Shell > Finding Nemo. They're all in the same ballpark.

America, particularly Disney, perfected the techniques that all anime rely on. Japan just went farther in producing adult-exclusive animation. (Also, Ninja Scroll sucked.)

Oshi effectifly pulled a Lucas/spielburg by taking one of his most loved works and butchering it- the artwork was as it was- to color swap it, only sabotaged it, and the scene swapping with cgi only cut out some tallented hand drawn work. it was a blatant attempt to force gits to look like gits2 and its sad that i bought it just so they could force us to compare the unupscaled dvd to blu-ray and expect us to thing it was better!
