I always enjoy your videos. Very detailed info and not to mention very entertaning. I had someone approach me about some nude photos and I think this would be a great way to start the session.
I just discovered your channel today Michael and it's awesome..In this tutorial can i ask you why you chose to put it on Daylight white balance instead of flash?...And i assume you shoot RAW so doesn't really matter cause you can fix it in LR3 yeah?
Hi Michael, Looks like I have caught the bug and am now addicted to your videos. You have ignited the creative side of me which has being laying dormant for the past few months.. Great Stuff..
hey michael I see that you camera have a battery pack it means that is a commercial eerie whit a good lens what camera do you use and what its the similar in nikon
@bpmuzik808 Bring a sample of poses to you shoot and have one or two lighting setups tested upfront. With that preparation the shoot will run smoothly. Have fun
hello michael, how to you configure light room to preview you shot? i have a d70s USB configured in PTP, and light room 3.5, i cant seem to make it work
@jbx907 File>Tethered capture> Start tethered capture works fine for me. Lightroom is a bit slower for tethered capture than Canon's software, however, I edit my first photo and tell Lightroom to set those edits to apply to all the photos I take after that. So by the end of the shoot I only have minor details (if any) to edit.
@jgvfgc i tried it, it doesn't recognize my nikon D70s with PTPusb fuction, i think this is only good for mac, im using a pc windows 7 x64 and tethering seems not to recognize my camera!
@jbx907 I use windows 7 x64 as well, but I should have read your first comment closer. I use a newer Canon. You are having trouble because the D70s is not supported in LR3 for tethered shooting. You can view a list of supported cameras in Adobe's support. You can use Nikon's software, DIYPhotobits Camera Control, or Loligo tether as an alternative for tethered shooting. Also Photogeek has a good article on tethered shooting with a D70s.
@jbx907 If your cam is not supported then you can use proprietary software to transfer photos into a folder and use the autoimport feature of lightroom to show the preview. That's how I do it when I do tether via Wifi instead of USB. Works stable with any cam.
Young cousin Michael, I watch all your videos and they're great. I'm just an amateur and I am learning loads from your videos. Look forward to next weeks vid'. I wish you good light!
hello micheal I just recently found your vids and am so glad I did you are my new favorite photographer you are shooting the exact kind of photos I want to be doing and the simple yet highly effective lighting setups are perfect for my budget... I do have a question about this set up though is the flash on your camera firing as well and if so what settings? thank you so much for sharing your awesome setups and tips!
YES I will be doing this shoot this weekend. I love it. Micheal , The speedlite on the camera what was it set to? I know you are using it to trigger the speedlite behind the model. Thanks and Good Light. ;-)
I did some nude photos of 2 women--and now I realize I should have warmed them up because I remember them being uncomfortable--but only in hindsight.

Hello Michael, I'm a big fan of all your work. Always look forward to Thursdays now.
Question, is the 28-300 mm lens pretty much your main shooting lens?
Also, would it make a big difference if you would set white balance on Flash?
Do you ever just set a true white balance for each shoot?
And lastly, do you touch up the photos in Pshop or Light room to enhance the effects?
Thanks for sharing your art and knowledge.
Good Light from Florida :)

@hanzeln The battery grip is totally optional. You really don't need it. On the Nikon side the D700 would be a good match in my opinion.
