  • It would look even better with a bunch of bullet holes in it.

  • great vid man!!!!

  • it is not TYPE3 fighter ki-61?HIEN(tony).

    it is TYPE1 fighter ki-43 HAYABUSA(oscar)block3.

  • Why are those jackasses allowing this rare aircraft to remain OUTDOORS???

Why is third-rate western ELEVATOR MUZAK allowed here as a soundtrack?

    Ahhhh.. the questions!

  • rhe ben ma jo no a laso

  • its not sexy you can see some inovative features that canopy is brilliant most radial fighters look similar .but the japanese figured the streamline bubble out before any body else

  • @cartmanrlsusall Very true. The Japanese fighters were ahead of their time, but because of their wooden frame, they couldn't the same kind of punishment that allied fighters could. It's why they were shot out of the sky, because as fast as maneuverable as they were for fighters of the day, they simple weren't fast enough for the kind of tactics the Japanese hoped to employ.

  • @Capt777harris Also no self sealing fuel tanks. Little to no armor for pilots. Did not take much to lightup jap planes. The trick was getting them in the gunsight. That got easier as the war progressed and the US developed better fighters and tactics.

  • too lightly armed but greatly improved over earlier nates....replaced by the top Japanese fighter which was a improved Oscar mostly....the Frank or Hayate was pretty much in the class of the Mustang and Spitfires....much better armament than Oscar and with combat manuvering slats was very manuverable....not well known due to its production run was hampered by the bombardment of Japan and hasty

construction forced non hardened steel that caused landing gear to snap in two....

  • personnally, I think they serve a much better role as man-made corral reefs scattered in the south pacific!

  • Most of the oscars operation area were Asia inland such as Burma, and China. The zeros were concentrated in pacific.

  • @ali4330 Ha, ha, ha, great reply. Facts are a killer response to ignorant comments!

  • There was one of the most prominent students of mr Weshiba (Aikdo) who was destined to be kamikaze but just as he was to be sent to die the war finished. His name was Tadashi Abe. He came to the greatest current Aikido country in the world-France, very early, before anyone knew much about Aikido. He'd go to bars and start fights on purpose to test his skill for which he was extradited from France but came back...one of the last kamikazes lol...Only the last kamikazes lived...

  • @hallobaaaby Irony is that Kamakaze had better chance to survive since they were husbanded for the most part for the Invasion. Normal Attack pilots were thrown aganist Ships, Bombers, and troops relentlessly and probably had a more fatalistic than the Kamakaze pilots..... better pilots of were pulled to have more training and moved into attack units... hopeless yes

but fought through and got some of the more importants hits that people

    generally allude to Kamakazes..

  • @vusuda idiot

  • @vusuda Your coment = shit

    one of the best

  • the Japanese made some great aircraft. Its the reason the parent companiesof armament makers of WWII Japan are still around making quality auto and aviation products today. There is a natural spirit they put into their planes: asthetic and birdlike. light on the armor plate but efficient hawks in the air all the same.

The US Navy had no match for Japanese air superiority until the Hellcat. The Army no match for the Zero until the P-38. The marines no match until the F4U.

  • the zero was made of silk and was a flying kite. no american plane could out turn her.

  • Awesome video!

  • LOL funny comments.. but this is another important aircraft from the stand point of aviation. Sure these assholes slammed them in to ships and other targets out of desperation.. but still its a cool plane!

  • The only asshole here is you. Respect those who suicided for their country , and that they aren't with us to defend. At least insult people that are alive coward.

  • @spanish111japan Why are you calling me an asshole? Why do you think people that were following orders so blindly deserve respect? Yeah they had the intestinal fortitude to crash thier planes in to a ship.. but thats a stupid tactic, kinda like the muslim assholes of today with their suicide bombings.. thats my friend, is truely cowardly.. Still a cool plane

  • See , americans are dumb. You call muslism terrorist because it's an stereotype , but it has nothing to see. I'm a muslism and you are wayy far to see what we really are.

  • @spanish111japan LMAO imagine that a musim thinking suicide is a good thing.. At least these suicide bombers had the balls to put on a uniform and actually look like a military instead of being cowards and dressing like a civilian. I respect the Japanese airmen during the kamakazi attacks a million times more than a pig fucking muslim coward suicide bomber. The japanese were not chicken shit terrorists, they were a real military

  • I know but , a muslism is a person who belives in allah . But terrorists are dickheads, it's just like 'Suicide for the god that doesn't exist boom'. Since i'm learning about other cultures im startng to be sick from islam

  • @painterjohn512 Well said Lad.

  • @painterjohn512 I'm curious what uniform you wore, since you sound so brave.

  • @vonBeavis I wore the uniform of the United States Army for 6 years.

    I proudly volunteered to serve.

    Did you serve?

  • @painterjohn512 I, too, was Army, for twice as long as you, and am currently serving again on an Army garrison overseas as a civilian since 9/11. At least we can agree on reading/viewing history, if not reaching the same outcome, and so far we've kept it civil.

  • @vonBeavis So twice as long as i served huh? guess you out rank me now.. Thanks for your service. I didnt intend anything but civility. Your comment to me sounded like you were about to start the shit talking process. Our service has nothing to do with the people that served when this aircraft flew. My point was atleast the Kamakazi wore a uniform, unlike the current enemy who hides in civilian clothes, like a coward.

  • @painterjohn512

Your current enemy is your shadow government hiding behind every expandable puppet (corporate lawer obama-puppet, fucktard-dork-puppet bush, etc).

  • @hallobaaaby shut up pussy! We are collectively sick of your consipracy theory ignorant Alex Jones bullshit.. Just shut the fuck up

  • @painterjohn512 Seems to strike a nerve on you and make you over-react dramatically. You may insult your ass-off but still this wouldn't change the fact that you are a slave, a proud, dumbed-down slave. Rage-on poophead :D

  • It's a beautiful haiku form that roughly translates: "why doesn't this obsolete kite have armour plating and self sealing fuel tanks like those lucky Americans. I feel a little exposed up here knowing this thing will burn like a Zippo Lighter if a bullet hits my gas tanks. The least they could have done was give me a parachute to contemplate Girls Gone Wild after I bail out of this flamer"

  • I'd be very interested to see a translation into English of the song lyrics.

  • These songs' theme is Farewell to graduated or died friends( or someone spcial) in young time.

  • Nice modeling job.

I'm particularly impressed with the restored aircraft shown at the start of the video. They seem to have been restored to the extent of applying realistic weathering effects. Very unusual and commendable!

  • hmm i've heard this some before somewhereele.

    it's pretty nice.

  • type 1 army fighter - Hayabusa.

    type 2 is shoki,

    type 3 - hien

    type 4 - hayate..

  • P.S.

    Type03 Fiter is TONY.

    (In Japanese, [HIEN] )

  • This is Oscer, not Type 3 fighter, Type01 Army Fighter is correct.

    This tittles`s [TYPE-III] means the

    Oscer Type-III, I think.

  • The replacement, the Ki-84 Hayate ("Frank") was arguably the best Japanese fighter of WWII and a match for most American fighters of the last year of the war. The American pilots learned the hard way to treat the Hayate with care, since the plane was well armed and had good armor protection and self-sealing fuel tanks, so it was no easy prey. Unfortunately for the Japanese, most of her top pilots were either dead or crippled, only a few remaining to take FULL advantage of the formidable Hayate.

  • The Ki 100 wasn't bad either, Kawasaki's attempt to get the Ki 61 moving along (which was cursed with the Ha 40 & equally unreliable Ha 140 engines).

  • yes Many Italians are dead

  • honor to the japan =)

  • Grazie !

  • your two country's killed millions----F---u

  • ahah fuck you atomic bombs or gulag or israelian juden you killo palestinesi lol what kill ???? lol

  • an excellent video showing nice boxart and models and then the historic images and other images..well done!!!

  • I don't care if it wasn't the fastest or most armed fighter of the war but it is a darn fine and sexy aircraft. Along with the Zero also.

  • @lazadar Like most Japanese fighter craft of the time it had extremely long range and was highly maneuverable.

  • " raiden & shinden also jet fighters " - because they were developed far too late -

Plus the Raiden suffered from teething problems , and the engine was unreliable - same with the Shiden

read AXIS FIGHTERS by Bill Gunston

  • The ki 43 should have been taken out of production by 1943.The ki 61 was a much better plane.

  • i dont know why japan use so many of its weak and slow plane when they have the raiden and the shinden also jet fighters

  • The Shinden and most of Japan's jets never flew. The more advanced piston engine planes were only just leaving their development phases when the war ended.

  • also many japanese factories where destroyed by the allies.

  • Type 1 Ki-43 LOL !
