  • UNIQUE STAYTUS FEATCHA

  • running this on an IBM Lennovo X-60s with a core duo cpu 2 gb of ram and 60gb solid state drive.

    100% compatible!!

boots to desktop almost instantly god and the UI is intuitive and clean for what it is this OS is fantastic for intel based netbooks.

  • @gar40 Its amazing on a junk netbook like Acer Aspire One I kinda even want to use when no one else is using it!

  • @The2010World

My point exactly :). If you have a net book based on the atom or better processor for net use use Moblin. 1000x better than windows 7 starter any day of the week.

  • @gar40 I completely agree!

    Windows - Burning

    Linux is evolving

Mac is becoming a Windows XP

  • It Works on Mandriva 2010.

    Rocks!!!

    It's Simply Amazing.

  • Hopefully they have/will make/made the power management better 'cause this isn't one of the strengths of Linux when it comes to note/netbooks. But looks really userfriendly and neatly done interface.

  • I've been using Moblin for a short time now. 10-16 boot time from BIOS load, so about 20 seconds total. Super fast load. The interface is new. If you have a netbook, this is going to be THE OS you want. Remember that it is Linux, so it can be customized easily. I am really liking the Moblin XP right now.

  • can i use this on my pc because this looks realy easy and my parents are not so skilled.

and if they will look in the internet not that they crash my system like last time.

  • You can try. :) Just make a dual boot and you shouldn't have problems. If it can't be installed (which I doubt), you won't have to reinstall your current OS but just format the partition where you've installed/tried to install Moblin OS. I will try it out in a virtual machine. :)

  • i try it but not running.

  • Well in that case it can't. :) Have you tried running it in a virtual machine?

  • Yes i tried in virtual machine.

Try it with your Tool maybee i have what false adjust.

  • Or try it with a LiveCD/USB. :)

  • Only if your PC has an Intel Atom processor (as stated in vid.) and Intel chipset.

    So 99% + certain it won't.

    Try Ubuntu/Kubuntu live CD/dual boot/virtual machine.

  • oh i have a amd phenom II x4 965 (4x4,5Ghz).

they should do that can running with other cpu´s and chipset.

  • They have.

This is GNU/ Linux tweaked for a netbook based on an Intel Atom. The name 'Moblin' comes from 'MOBile LINux'.

  • Very cool user interace (and video)! I would really want to try it.

  • First impression: Looks awesome. Will be trying this for sure.

  • SWEEEEET!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME!

Say hello to my new OS :D

  • when will the final version be out??? i can't wait!

  • Looks awesome! Looking forward to buying a few such laptops using Moblin in the near future (for my parents especially).
