I'd also really like to see peer reviewed studies on the effects of shisha. I've smoked for about two years and never had the faintest glimmer if any 'smoke' related health issue. Normal sessions are 3-5 hours 2/3 days a week, so I don't smoke all that much but I would think if it's that bad for me I'd see some adverse health-effects. Yes a hookah session can last an hour, but if it were true, then why is it that people can get and walk away after an hour just fine? I was very anti any form of smoking prior to last weekend. I was in London and I smoked a shisha with a few friends for the first time and it was actually very pleasant, and I'd happily do it again. I am actually thinking of buying my own shisha for my own use and to use with friends.

That's a good vid , everyone always say that 1 session hookah is 40 cigarettes or something but that's so false . @XzAnToZ all natural wood charcoal for the hookah is good to use, especially if you heat them up in bulk, for many hookahs. For my personal use I prefer Exotica 5th Year Anniversary Charcoal. They are amazing.
I would guess that there is some tar in hookah smoke, just less than in cigarettes. The shisha it's self may not have any tar. So the 0.0% thing may be true for unsmoked shisha. When I finish a bowl I am left with a lump of black stuff in the bowl. That's all the tar and crap I didn't inhale. Interesting thoughts on the smoke/vapor issue. I have always thought of it as smoke. But it's white smoke as opposed to grey smoke from cigarettes. That would suggest fewer particulates in shisha smoke

@ShowUsYourTDs I would suggest Al fakher, StarBuzz, Fantasia, and some Guru. Yes, depending on the hose and the size of bowl etc, can affect the clouds. However, it can affect taste, depending on what brand, and where the hookah may have been made and how. Not all Chinese hookahs are bad, only some.
@TrueHookahKing Al Fakher is great! I love their pipe flavor. I haven't tried StarBuzz or Fantasia, or Guru. If you haven't tried it, try Fumari. That stuffs pretty good and comes in flavors other bands don't.

I also, occasionally, get that very nauseous/headache feeling (now I don't know exactly what causes it) generally if you smoke too much it's going to happen.

The smoke from Hookah is like a smoke from boiling water.. but cigar is different its heavy and it has a smell that you can cough because you might not able to breathe well on it but Hookah is different you can smoke it and you wont cough unless you smoke and hold it for long period of time..

@PoserSqaud A lot of the nicotine is evaporated out with the charcoals. So The nicotine you get is so minute that you would have to smoke ungodly amounts to get addicted. Cigs taste horrible, so there has to be large amounts of nicotine in order for you to keep buying them because you get addicted. You're good man.
@TrueHookahKing I have gotten nicotine buzzes from smoking shisha. But that only happens if smoke a whole bunch. I smoke cigarettes, so sometimes I add cigarette or pipe tobacco to my shisha. I did that a few hours ago and smoked a blow of just shisha right after. I had a nice headache going. I also used to have a roommate who could get a pretty good buzz off just shisha. It seems he was extra sensitive to nicotine. Most moderate hookah smokers wont get a serious buzz or an addiction.

Hey man! Great video! I enjoy smoking my hookah from time to time, and i think its a great way to relax and even socially when mates come over. The nicotine in shisha flavour is for the buzz effect but only lightly, 0.05%. And Im pretty convinced that smoking hookah might not be a healthy habit but its definately not as bad as cigarettes.

Your theory that you get little to nicotine when you smoke is very true cause the coal does evaporate most of it now depending on how hard your draws are determines amount of nicotine you inhale which is still a minute amount.

The smoke alarm test I blew cigarette smoke at it and it went off, waited for it to stop going off then blew hookah "smoke" at it and the alarm did nothing and then immediately after that I blew cigarette smoke at it and it went off again and it then pissed off my friends and they smashed it against my wall. A lot of these hookah tests everyone talks about can have many problems.. as long as the hookah is maintained perfectly the results will be positive. A lot of these tests that go negative is usually due to the fact of poor heat displacement. Now the user might be used to it and it might not be extremely harsh or noticeable. But every possibility has to be explored.

Yes a hookah session can last an hour, but if it were true, then why is it that people can get and walk away after an hour just fine? Because if someone was to smoke cigarettes for a whole hour straight, they would probably puke their guts out and need to go to the hospital, its common sense really.

@TrueHookahKing its true about the cigs when I first started smoking cigs I did get sick after only 1 cig.The nicotine in 1 cig is so friggen high that it makes you light headed and makes you puke if you were to smoke a cig one after an other for 1 hour.You know a lot about hookahs cuz you've been smoking shisha for 7 years so you know for sure that with the hookah it won't give that reaction like it does with cigs.So keep it up dude your vids are awesome

Can't believe people would try to defend shisha. It's fucking un-healthy. All tobacco is. That doesn't mean you have to stop or that you lose the argument or anything. I was very anti any form of smoking prior to last weekend. I was in London and I smoked a shisha with a few friends for the first time and it was actually very pleasant, and I'd happily do it again. I am actually thinking of buying my own shisha for my own use and to use with friends.

I would guess that there is some tar in hookah smoke, just less than in cigarettes. The shisha it's self may not have any tar. So the 0.0% thing may be true for unsmoked shisha. When I finish a bowl I am left with a lump of black stuff in the bowl. That's all the tar and crap I didn't inhale. Interesting thoughts on the smoke/vapor issue. I have always thought of it as smoke. But it's white smoke as opposed to grey smoke from cigarettes. That would suggest fewer particulates in shisha smoke

However, it can affect taste, depending on what brand, and where the hookah may have been made and how. Not all Chinese hookahs are bad, only some.

@aaaaaaaa3aaaaaa If you're around the smoke long enough you will get sick symptoms such as what you had. I was in a Hookah Bar for hours and puked because I did not get fresh air or take any breaks. I also, occasionally, get that very nauseous/headache feeling (now I don't know exactly what causes it) generally if you smoke too much it's going to happen.

@PoserSqaud A lot of the nicotine is evaporated out with the charcoals. So The nicotine you get is so minute that you would have to smoke ungodly amounts to get addicted. Cigs taste horrible, so there has to be large amounts of nicotine in order for you to keep buying them because you get addicted. You're good man.

@TrueHookahKing I have gotten nicotine buzzes from smoking shisha. But that only happens if smoke a whole bunch. I smoke cigarettes, so sometimes I add cigarette or pipe tobacco to my shisha. I did that a few hours ago and smoked a blow of just shisha right after. I had a nice headache going. I also used to have a roommate who could get a pretty good buzz off just shisha. It seems he was extra sensitive to nicotine. Most moderate hookah smokers wont get a serious buzz or an addiction.

Hey man! Great video! I enjoy smoking my hookah from time to time, and i think its a great way to relax and even socially when mates come over. The nicotine in shisha flavour is for the buzz effect but only lightly, 0.05%. And Im pretty convinced that smoking hookah might not be a healthy habit but its definately not as bad as cigarettes.

This is long so it is in three parts. I am an avid hookah smoker and I have tested some of your points you made. The smoke alarm test I blew cigarette smoke at it and it went off, waited for it to stop going off then blew hookah "smoke" at it and the alarm did nothing and then immediately after that I blew cigarette smoke at it and it went off again and it then pissed off my friends and they smashed it against my wall. Haha, I am a hookah smoker, but truehookah king no offense your kind of a moron,when it comes to the effects of hookah on the body. Firstly it does affect you V02 max like smoking anything, whenever you are smoking tobacco, you are in taking carcinogens into your body, so smoking hookah will lead to cancer, you really need to brush up your basic scientific knowledge, before you debate their claims. It's bad for you, but I do it cause I enjoy it and I am aware of the dangers clearly unlike you.

@jthakore905 hahaha. You dumb shit. Coconut Charcoal reduce carcinogens. The tobacco is baked not burned again, Reducing the carcinogens, is hookah healthy? No, but neither is soda, and hookah is about as harmful. so you need to do your research, or learn to pay attention.

A lot of these hookah tests everyone talks about can have many problems.. as long as the hookah is maintained perfectly the results will be positive. A lot of these tests that go negative is usually due to the fact of poor heat displacement. Now the user might be used to it and it might not be extremely harsh or noticeable. But every possibility has to be explored.
