  • yup i live in devore... i see that every day! lol

  • thats union pacific property you was on.

im surprised you didnt get a ticket

  • 100+ trains a day thru this crossing and more to come as the port of LA and LB get organized. This is why I live in Devore! Thanks for a great vid

  • why did the one gat eon the right go down before the one on the left?

  • It's a double crossing. Out of frame, to the left, the signals on the UP track are in a partially activated state.

The outer UP signal has its front lights on, and its gate begins lowering at the same time the outer BNSF one lowers.

The inner UP signal has only its rear lights activated.

The inner BNSF gate begins lowering on a timer synchronized with the snubbing of the UP gate.

I think the reverse is true for the BNSF signals when a train comes on the UP tracks.

  • Did the bells on the UP side of the crossing change? I hear to GS type 1 bells and a GS type 2.

  • Yes they apparently did.

  • I liked the horn!

  • Actually take back what I said, because I was a DUMMY and didn't watch the whole video when I put the comment it, but WHAT POWER!!

  • MAAANNN!! That doesn't look like any LOCAL freight train to me!!! That looks like a train that is much too long to be going past here at all. Golly, look at THAT POWER!! WOW!
