Ever notice a lot of optimistic statements about this hellish, miserable place to "surf"? That's because there's a huge network of people out to keep things positive, no matter how negative it really is ever since America's majority lost the financial race back in year 1999. Since then, much like real estate, everything went hype.

Wow, beautiful waves, but some pretty heavy hits being taken there too, especially with the heavy cold Californian seawater. Did you get out on you boogie board?

I didn't go out the past few days for this swell because I hurt my back surfing the last swell. I don't know think I would have gone out this day anyway, because it was very hard to paddle out. I did boogie board a double overhead break about 2 weeks ago north of LA., but it was a much softer wave and not so scary as these. No broken boards that day.
