self proclamation in being an expert in any field or even to know alot in a field does not cut it. LOL U have never once spoke with facts. So excuse me while I do not believe, nor does any1 else believe that U even know what planet u R currently on HAHAHA!
Horses will not run when under pain. thier for the flank does not impose pain on them. Ive been over this on other videos with you. You lose the arguement so you start the same fight at another place. grow up. youve been proven wrong over and over.
@thebuckskin07 activist never care about wether there R right or wrong. They only care about the end goal. 4 them the end goal is to stop rodeo. No matter at what cost. I'd like 2 hear what would happen. What would happen if all rodeo events were banned. What would happen to the rough stock? The roping stock? And all other animals involved? Would they B better in a post rodeo world or in a present rodeo world. U have knowledge. So let's hear ur opinion we've heard the activist arguments
@GODBLESSAMERICA71 Well he obviously he has the most knowledge here. U say U have no knowledge. Andstandingatthedoor is a clone account of U.AKA ur the same person. sorry to say this. ur the moron. and buckskin has knowledge. U should sit down b4 u hurt urself LOL
@rancherjongus This is the dumbest video I've ever seen. Kinda like your bullshit pro horse killing video. What kinda assholes would think this is entertaining to watch? It figures you and your most knowledgeable friend would like this stupid shit!
@GODBLESSAMERICA71 I don't have any uploads so how could I have a vid? Oh wait that's right U think I have a army of clone accounts. 2 bad the jokes on U hahahahahaha! No see I recall U R the 1 who says he has clone accounts. The proof is right there. And U have been on this vid longer than I have. So if U don't like the vid. Y R U here? seems conflicting :P
@rancherjongus Im here because I choose to be. Not to mention the fact that i cant wait to see what the knowledgeable asshole friend of yours has to post.
@GODBLESSAMERICA71 No I bet U will.LMAO that's Y this is so easy. people believe the logical one over the lonney one every time. But hey take ur time to learn no problem :)
@rancherjongus Looney is you dumb ass. Be careful who you friend on you tube retard. Your friends with skopunass who is friends with jonathon19960804 who is actually a pedo that pretends he's 14. Don't believe me? Then check jonathons channel then his channels comments then his friend lists. They are a bunch of sick ass feet smellers. And they don't hide it. Do you really want your channel next to that scumbags on skopunass friends list? If you do then your a sicker asshole than I thought!
@GODBLESSAMERICA71 Yeah U would know allot about mr Magnus Olsen wouldn't U? Well I mean first U steal vids from him and some pictures. And then U bully him around. Then finally U pretend to B him. U can't even deny it because ur on record saying"he deserved it" sad really knowing he is a teenager. and the fact that I'm not jonathon's friend kind of means U struck out. LMAO buddy U R getting desperate! But good try. U'll have to try again. *crazy fool*

Ill make sure they get yours and his info! You've talked about shitstorms. You should see when they have someone in their sights! I doubt you'll have time to keep spamming videos! Stupid asshole i tried to give you a little information but your to dumb to know it!
Don't mind this idiot GODBLESSAMERICA71 aka tastegold77. She is an obssessive compulsive lunatic who fails in everything she does in life. She found less competition and some attention from fellow losers in pretending to promote animal rights. She adopts the name GODBLESSAMERICA as a cover for her Low Income Immigrant status having been born in the poorer section of Poland. She enjoys maligning third world people while claiming to be American since it comforts her from her low life insecurity.
@GODBLESSAMERICA71 well no actually U'v already claimed to B a Lunatic. I mean it's there if U need proof.:) And it's 2 bad jonathon isn't my friend huh. speaking of skopunass. How do U know him? Oh yeah that's right. U'v only been trolling him around like a lost puppy. LOL and let's not forget about the vids U stole from him.ahhhh, that's right U probably wanted to keep that quite didn't U? and he's a teen too? that's a bit creepy. who's looney? EPIC FAIL! LMFAO.
I know enough about horse body language to know that a horse that is scared will run not buck! Plus horses that are scared wont move freely like broncs do after the ride. These horses are not shaking or hunching down. Do you know anything about horses?
@thebuckskin07 OK, so the torment level is somewhere between hunching and running. He knows the running will get away from any further abuse, but at the same time, the strap is a DISCOMFORT to the horse's natural ability to think straight. For you, to take his place, how about a small stone in your boot for your discomfort. Walk around, hold your face, walk funny, and tell us you're having fun. Give me a break.
@thebuckskin07 Nut job. Why don't you volunteer to have a strap attached to your fat ass and see if it hurts! That is if we can find a big enough one for you lard ass!
When is this horse harmed? Where did you learn to speak to horses? Did it tell you it wasn't having fun? It wouldn't do it if it didn't want to. I've seen plenty of horses that never bucked with a flank. If they all bucked then the good ones wouldn't be worth so much! Not all are "rank and mean" as you called it.
@thebuckskin07 Regarding the insult that your delicate feelings detected earlier? How is it you can be so sensitive to YOUR feelings, and unable to have anything for someone else's, including the creatures? Because rodeo HAS NO COMPASSION, neither do you. Don't bother whining about all the name calling in your sloppy defense, If the shoe fits, wear it...
@standingatthedoor You can not tell me this horse was injured or that it was in pain during the ride. People say thier horses love to show, trail ride, rope, barrle race and jump. However the only thing if ever seen a horse do on his own in a pasture is buck. I've never seen a show horse work the rail in the pasture. Have you? You have no idea where these horses would be with out rodeo. They wouldn't be slaughtered because your kind has that shut down.
@thebuckskin07 He was in torment the moment he left the chute. The outcome is unknown because the clip was terminated, while the horse was still 'performing', but there is proof, in other videos that tell us more about what happens at these kind of events. As far as psychological damage, which is probably way over your head, can anyone give any of these horses a big hug in the arena for a 'job' well done? No, because the horses are TERRIFIED of humans, especially the ones who own them.
@standingatthedoor psychological damage? I have a horse at home that i can load in the chute with a lead rope around his neck, buck off most guys with him, then saddle him and put my nephews on him. They do it because they want to. They wouldn't other wise. if every horse bucked then the good ones wouldn't be worth so much. If thier so terrified then why do they lead so well back to the pens. BECAUSE THIER NOT SCARED!!!! Your not seeing anything but what you want to.
@thebuckskin07 Are you trying to say that a horse does not have any feelings? What kept them as the oldest creature of survival on this planet with us? They're a lot smarter than most humans, still. You see yet you are blind. You can't read body language until you have a strap and prod in the midst of your 'party'. Perhaps we could change your title to "Horse Abuse Lover". A more fitting ring for you to wear. GOT PRIDE? NOPE.
How many rodeo's have you been to? Where do you plan to put all of these unwanted animals after rodeo is gone? Have you ever been to a stockcontracters home? Have you ever been shocked with a hot shot? Have you ever looked at rodeo from the other sides view? I have. Its not abuse. don't post on our video's. I've tried to talk reason with shark. But he will never post my comments because he has no response. When you can say yes to the above questions, then people will listen.
@aiexandros trying to defend an abusive spectacle is hopeless. It is all documented. lf a young horse is broken in properly it rarely bucks. l have over 50 years experience and am a qualified riding instructor. Yoü are exploiting horses for amusment.
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX Like I said. Not very many horses have that natural 'want' to buck all of the time. The ones that do, go to rodeos. I fail to see how it's considered abuse, because bucking is a natural instinct in a horse anyway, and horses like bucking anyway. Hell, mine buck in the field all the time just while they're playing around.
@Alexandros1294 Stop defending a corrupt "sport" Take off the bucking strap, have the horses in an enclosed chute so these abusers can't shock them and then see what happens. These horses will NOT continue to buck for long.
i have a friend whos a stock contractor and every morning when he wakes up befroe he himself eats breakfast he goes out and feeds every one of his animals and takes care of them that sounds pretty loved to me
guys this is a western sport we no you city slickers wont get it but we do and the flank strap has a wool pad the spurs fo bronc are round and you dont jigg a horse or eltircute it as u cty people call it and the horses live just as good as any other horse
Thank god someone agrees! This sport is cruel. I mean look at the horse is he happy, do you think he feels loved? Nope the only thing he feels is the electric prod to get him stirred up in the holding pen and then the tight flank strap and finally the spurrs. Sorry about your video though but hey I'll continue to flag those videos about how great rodeo is.
@no1horselover all you anti rodeo city slicker pricks need to really lean what goes on in a rodeo before you make any judgements about how "cruel" we are. i have been riding saddle broncs for a long time, and i even worked for a stock contractor, and those animals are treated like royalty. they have to perform for an average of two minutes a year, and no, the flanks dont prod them, nor are the spurs sharp. so i would suggest stop judging other peoples ways of life.

@no1horselover Of course he's happy. He gets to buck off all of his riders... If he wasn't happy, he'd have his ears pinned. No, we don't use electric prods because that goes against the rules of the game. The flank strap is not tight either. If it was, the horse wouldn't fucking move. Not only that, but it's designed to loosen as the horse bucks so that the horse doesn't become broken in to it. The spurs are also very, very dull.
@no1horselover I've hit myself with my bronc riding spurs as hard as I can before and I didn't get cut at all. They're rounded, very dull, and free rolling. We have the welfare of the horse in mind when we make the rules. The saddles are also extremely padded so as to not cause discomfort. If something's prodding the horse or irritating it, the horse won't do its job and won't buck. It will just stand there.
this animal cruelty shit is terrible all u stupid people that think this is so awful are just retarded this has been happenin for over a hundred years and this arguing on u tube is stupid and honestly these horses if they didn't want to buck would not buck the flank encourages not provokes horses don't always buck with the flank on
ok this is fucking cruel. no offense. but its kinda like roping. its fun in all untill the animal gets hurt and has to be put down or shot in the head.
Trust me, it's far from cruel. Sure a certain stock contractor can be cruel, but most of them aren't.They all receive high quality food while on the road, and most are limited to only a few rides per month before they get to go to pasture for a break. They are bred specifically for a nice clean jump in order to make a good looking and high scoring ride. And as far as roping goes, have you ever witnessed a calf or steer killed during an event. The worst I've seen is rope burn. Which is preventable
yah acually i have seen a calf killed in a rodeo. and horses break there legs and then get dragged out and i dont know wut they did wit them after but im pretty sure i heard a gu shot idk it was at the fair could of been anything so dont tell me that
@QuarterHorselover12 lmao. Animals are very rarely injured in rodeo. It's pretty much always a freak accident when a horse breaks its leg, or when a calf is killed. Those animals used in rodeos cost more money than most people's cars cost them... so yeah, we take the best care of them as we can.
@QuarterHorselover12 Actually it's not cruel at all. Accidents happen in every sport. The injury rate of these animals in one year just in rodeos is like 0.0047 percent. The people get hurt a lot more than the animals do. Quit being such a whiny ass.
if you want to argue against rodeo for being cruel to animals then argue against show jumping, horse racing, and dressage as well. If you do the research yo0u will realise that these events have a much higher injury rate than rodeo. O wait you guys dont want to do research you just want to say what shark tells you. Why dont you grow up and start looking up your own shit and use facts not heresay from someone who doesnt know shit about rodeo.
k the information that you always give usually doesnt make sense to anyone that has actually been to a rodeo. sure i give facts off of a keyboard but i also rodeo and have been attending rodeos my whole life. you said you get your info from a camera. you have probably never even been behind the scenes at a rodeo. all of my info is from personal experince which is alot better than a camera anyday.
you know nothing of rodeo as is how can you talk for us cowboys ya damn city slicker. until you get some real facts and not the shit that shark and other animal rights groups have made up, i will not be able to take anything that you say seriously. get real facts. for instance the chance that a rodeo animal will get hurt is .006% that is a fact you get some that make sense and not just heresay maybe then you might make a difference or is all you animal rights people have to go on is lies.
saddlebronc01:Out of 100,000 critters, only 6 get injured??? That's a fact I'd like to see you support with some proof, since the PRCA does not disclose any information about the injuries to anyone. We have video footage to show, you only have lies.
actually the PCRA does disclose that information. i got that from the 2006 PCRA livestock survey. if you ask for it they do give out the information. which again shows how foolish you people are. if you are going try and make me sound stupid maybe you should actually try and get the facts before you go and and open your mouths. If you want the information go to the PCRA website and ask them to email it to you. and in most of your videos there are actaully very few animals getting hurt so...
saddlebronc01:The PCRA deals with petroleum conservation, so you won't get anything about injured animals from them. However the PRCA does exist and if anyone could get something from them, surely SHARK would get it also. Good luck proving your invalid point. You do know the PRCA, don't you?
sorry that was a typo i did mean the PRCA and yes they do give out the information if you do ask for it that is how i got it. just because shark hasnt got that information doesnt mean that they cant get it. if i can get hold of it surely shark can get it . it isnt to hard to get i just asked for it. and they sent it too me the next day.
also you blame us for being stupid you should double check your math if you use 6/100000 is actually .00006 which is a big difference from .0006 which i stated and that only works out to be 6/10000. also you claim to have footage but very little of your footage actually contains animals getting injured. also i find it hard to belive that you know about rodeo. you may think you do but what you know is probably a mere sliver of what i know so dont try to tell me things about rodeo.
saddlebronc01:I didn't blame you for being stupid, you're doing quite well on your own. Did you flunk math as well? You stated .006%. 6% is 6 units of a 100. Move the decimal 3 places to the left and add 3 more 0's to the 100. :)
i did accidentaly state .006 in the first one but i later corrected it to be .0006 which is the the true stat. dont just rely on the information that shark has, go out there and get your own information and inform yourself on the subject dont just go by what one person says.
saddlebronc01:Actually you stated it as .006%in two videos I know of. Even so, if the number of injuries is so low, (6 out of 10,000 is still awesome), the PRCA would surely post it. That would certainly help your cause. However, the steer tripping alone is enough to tell a totally different story...
k ill give you the fact straight off the report since you dont believe me...
Following are the results of the
2006 survey:
TOTAL ANIMAL EXPOSURES: 61992
NUMBER OF RODEO PERFORMANCES: 159
SECTIONS OF SLACK: 67
NUMBER OF INJURIES: 38
INJURY RATE: .0006
if you want to confirm this email the PRCA and ask nicely for it and they will email it to you. they also have comments from the vets on this survey it is called 2006 PRCA LIVESTOCK SURVEY if you are wondering, they also sent me 2004
saddlebronc01:This survey smells worse than a dead skunk in a barrel. How can anyone rely on information from an organization like the PRCA that is corrupt to the bone? Sorry, you'll have to do a whole lot better than that.
GUMMERUP, standingatthedoor, ppl like u r the reason horses now get shipped to mexico to be slaughtered where there are no regulations on animal treatment...way to go
u ppl are the cityslickers who when can no longer afford hay, let ur horses starve until they die, or haul the poor starved animals out to the countryside and drop them off on the side of the road to get hit by traffic. If ur as ignorant as u seem to type, leave the real world alone and go fuk something else up
ranchhandks:Sorry, we're not the ones who are overbreeding and abusing the horses. It's the ranches and the rodeos, run by cowboys who think they are, live in denial and blame everyone elso for their mistakes. Usually noted for their bad grammar and spelling as a result of not paying attention in school because of endless daydreaming about rodeo.
actually it is not the ranches and rodeos that are over breeding it is the city person that wants to try and be a cowboy and so and goes and buys a horse but doesnt realize how much it takes to care for the horses and so disposes them in the country hoping that the ranchers will take the horse in and feed it. You seriuosly need to get your facts straight. cause right now your sounding like a fucking moron who nows next to shit about country life. Dont use us as a escape goat for your mistakes.
saddlebronc01:Drop the city/country people crap. It's the cowboy wannabe that's making you look bad. The fact that you support them as well as the rodeo industry that thrives on animal abuse is your choice and your mistake. Everyone eats their own crow, and this one is yours. So, open wide now. :)
wow it looks like thats a sensitive issue for you city folks. maybe if you visited the country once in a while you would have a different view. but no your still the narrow minded city boy fuck up that has nothing better to do than bash a lifestyle that you are probably envious off. hell everyone knows chicks dig the cowboys. so what if there are the fakers and the true cowboys it dont really matter to you guys you group us all together anyways. why dont you go and fuck off until you get facts..
saddlebronc01:Not a sensitive issue for city folks, because its the wannabes dressed up in cowboy costumes doing the damage. Bashing the animals around as a lifestyle is nothing to be proud of or envious about either. Myself, I prefer the real thing. Who wants a phoney? A real man or woman does not abuse critters. Obviously, you still have a lot of growing up to do.
i dont need to do some growing up. i grew up with this type of lifestyle. all you do is bash us rodeo folk most of which come from a ranching background. how would you feel if i came up to you and told you what you do for a living was fucking pathetic and that so were you. alright i dont get why people who have no clue about animals or how they are handled can even begin to think that they can tell us that were wrong. maybe if you got some real facts. i might, MIGHT be able to take you seriously
saddlebronc01:The horses are not wild or rank, they're motivated through torment and fear. Breaking and training a horse serves a purpose. Using flank straps and hot shots not only show how the animals are being treated, it also shows the weakness of what a cowboy is all about. You still haven't answered my question. What kind of cowboy would treat a horse like that?
these horse are not terrified except for the firts couple times in the chute. after that they know what to expect. it is the same as breaking a colt the first couple times you get on they are frightened and c
scared but after they know their job. as to what kind of cowboy i ride saddle bronc and i train colts and i run our ranching operation the ones that oppose rodeos arent really rue cowboys in my opinion cause it is apart of our heritage and all rodeo events have their roots in ranching.
saddlebronc01:You did not answer my question. What kind of cowboy would treat a horse with flank straps and electric prods??? Now you say "all rodeo events have their roots in ranching", your words. Where does bullriding become a part of ranch work?
the prods arent used all the time only on chute stallers and the flanks dont hurt a horse no matter what you say. Now for a little history lesson when on a trailride in the old days the cowboys would rope the rankest steer and one of them would get on it and ride it. It was done for the fun of it much as it is now except if the guy was able to last a certain time period on the steer he would get the steer to sell as his own. there ya go i never said ranch work i said ranching
ya that was how bulriding came in. and yes when dealing with rodeo, there are some things that you dont understand for instance the reason we shock chute stallers is because it is dangerous for both the rider and horse when the horse stalls in the chute. When that happens the threat for injury greatly increases so in order for the horse to move out without hesitation they get shocked. The prod is supported by many vets to be humane and that is why we use it. Iv also already explained the flank..
saddlebronc01:That's some great storytelling there. I admit to eating meat, but baloney is not one of them, and your explanations are full of it. I know how the animals are "bred to buck". These critters are raised on the ranch, and of course you treat them well, very well. Then you start to "train" them by throwing a strap, (known as torment) on their flanks to see how they "perform". The ones which exhibit the most fear or "rank" as you would call it, is now your pride and joy.
Why? Because this farm animal is going to make a lot more money for you in the rodeo than on the ranch, as long as it delivers the goods. When the animal becomes accustomed to the abuse and torment of the strap, they begin to stall, and that is when the prod is introduced to further "encourage" them. Wire stabbing the victims is also used in some cases, and this has been videotaped and documented as well. The bucking events cannot exist without that strap. The bottom line. Buck, or else...
i would like to see this wire cause unless you are refering to the wire hooks that are used to hook the cinches on the saddles. No one will use wire to make the animal buck that is something that you animal activists made of to get sympathy.
saddlebronc01:Sorry, wrong again. Shark has some videos on his site, showing these thugs stabbing bulls with coathanger wire to make them "perform". And everyone involved in the chute are not doing anything at all to stop it, not even the judges. This is the PRCA at work. There are no real cowboys in this one either, just a bunch of phoney wannabes.
K i havent saw this video yet. I cant say that they didnt stab the bull or not but my guess is that the guy is standing above the bull and trying to hook his bull rope with the wire not trying to stab the bull that is how they hook their rope if you actually look at how they do stuff you would realise this.
saddlebronc01:I watched the video, again. The wire stabbing is really quite obvious and blatant to say the least. The animals don't deserve this treatment, but rodeo has another excuse for that one too. Are you catching my drift now?
as said before i havent seen this video tell me the name of it and i will see this my self and if he is stabbing the bull as you say then it is a differnt story.
saddlebronc01:Go to Shark's website. The link is on his YouTube channel. At the bottom there is a search engine. Type wire stabbing and the video is in the results.
ok after looking at the video you are correct but this is also the first i have ever heard of this due to the fact that is a very rare occurance. this is not right but it is also not illegal according to PRCA rules. the man in his defence though is not hitting the animals hard enough for it to really cause any real pain he is merely tapping the bull. i agree this should not happen but again there are no rules yet saying that it is illegal.
saddlebronc01:He's tapping the bull with a heavy strand of wire, and you have an excuse for that. Do you think the bull has agreed to this form of treatment? You said "No one will use wire to make the animal buck". That's another lie, as a result of your ignorance of rodeo. Now you cover that phoney excuse of a cowboy by using a rulebook supplied by the PRCA (which is for PR only) and talking about legalities, when deep down, you know its wrong. So, buddy, where does that put you?
that puts me on the side of rodeo cause unlike you morons i cant judge rodeo by the actions of one guy. I give you facts and you call them stupid but they still are facts. what do you guys have. NOTHING but heresay, it just goes to show how stupid and blind you guys are. You ask for facts i give you facts and yet you still cant come to reality and realise that rodeo is not as bad as you people make it out to be. just grow up and accept the facts.
saddlebronc01:It's not one guy, everyone knew what was happening, even the impotent judges. Your facts are off a keyboard, mine facts are off a camera, and we both know that cameras don't lie. Like I said earlier, you need to grow up and realize that rodeo is what it is. Abuse, cruelty and full of corruption. That includes the language too.
@standingatthedoor Cameras can lie just as easily as keyboards can. Tampered video footage is just as unreliable as some idiot like you typing on a keyboard.
GodsWildfire:Its in a video on Shark's website. The link is on his YouTube channel. At the bottom there is a search engine. Type wire stabbing and the video is in the results.
@standingatthedoor Not every stock contractor is kind. That's the way the world works. Not every football coach is nice to his players. Not every boss is nice to the people that work for him. That's life. Get over it.
Vets use a prod for a medical reason, to move the animal along. Rodeo uses it for their entertainment purposes and your "sport" is getting carried away from a lack of respect for the animals. And since you cannot answer the question directly which I asked you three times in earlier posts, let me tell you what kind of cowboy treats the animals like this. A PHONEY ONE! I personally don't think there is a real cowboy in all of rodeo, because if there was,
your butts would be toast after he saw the treatment of the animals you so "love" as you use his title. The biggest problem is not us exposing you for the cowards you are, its your inability to be a real cowboy. And while you cuss at the rest of us when you also profess yourselves as Christians in your little rodeo prayer meeting just before you start banging the daylights out of the critters, you can take that one up with Him.
k dude the shit that is coming out of your mouth makes no sense. Also if you were to say any of the shit that you are stating on here to my face i would kick you ass. why dont you leave your slanderous remarks at home at just fuck off. you cant talk shit about something you have no idea about. None of the cowboys at rodeos are phoneys. your cause is pathetic and people in the city should not stick your noses into stuff that you know nothing about, also dont dis our religion that is low of lows..
The horses have a natural athletic ability, much like jumpers, barrel horses, or any other performance horse. These just buck, and they are trained to do so. The flank gives them incentive to kick out, it is uncomfortable, but not painful. If he were flanked too tight he couldn't buck at all. And I can't emphasize enough that these horses are TRAINED to buck. It's their job, and hot-shoting a horse in a chute will only make him try to jump out or flip over, both are not safe for the rider.
What a lot of nonsense !! The ONLY way you can get these horses to buck is have a bucking strap which is tightened on a soft sensitive area that the horse can't bear. The horses are rough handled in the chute and discretely elec. prodded with a tiny prodder that fits in the hand. They are continually spurred. This is a cruel business, no doubt of that.
If you flank anything too tight it can't move. Why do you think calf ropers grab the calf under the flank to throw him? So he can't kick out and is easier to throw. If a horse can be trained to jump or race or whatever, he can also be trained to buck. I don't expect anyone who has never been behind the chutest to know what I'm talking about though.
Bullshit, if you didn't have the bucking strap on, didn't electrolly shock them and spur them then just watch how quick they stop bucking. I have broken in loads of horses and know how horses react. Calf roping is even worse than rodeos, scaring the life out of confused babies and throwing them about. Call that animal abuse? it is and of the highest degree.
The flank helps, but since all he knows is bucking then believe me, he will buck. It just may not be as hard and he won't kick out as much. I'm proud of you that you've broke a horse or two, but honestly it all just sounds like another 13 year old self-proclaimed horse trainer with little or no real livestock experience. Like I said, if you've never been behind the chutes you don't really know what goes on, do you? Actual experience always outrules hearsay.
I am a qualified riding instructor and have competed very successfully in equine sports where horses are trained with care and understanding to reach a comfortable partnership. Rodeos are animal abuse and as i said calf roping even worse.
And I stand by my post, if you've never been a part of it, you just don't know for sure how it works. You have to agree however that abuse occurs in every aspect of the equine industry, show horses being some of the worst. I'm sorry we have a difference in opinion, but I really think you should be better informed before you make generalizations about an entire event. That's like me saying all jumpers jump so high because they are rapped in training. See my point?
I don't need to be a part of it, i can see it is abuse through and through. It's just tormenting horses.
All equine activities have abuse somewhere but never as a stand point like rodeos, it can never be anything else but severe irritation to an animal just to entertain at their cost and make wannabe macho guys feel for a moment they actually are.
I would think as a riding instructor you would know that actual experience gives a much better perspective than just standing and watching. I'm not here to change your mind, I don't care to change your mind. I just think that since you apparently have no experience with bucking stock, then just maybe you should be careful of the throwing your opinion out like it's a fact.
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX OH REALLY? Explain to me how on my VERY first bronc ride then, no one put a flank strap on my horse, and that no one shocked it and he started bucking? The spurring is to help keep the rider on and to encourage the horse to go on more. The horse is going to buck anyway. Trust me. Its been trained to, that's what it was bred to do, that's what the fucking horse is going to do.
@Alexandros1294 Using horses for entertainment by irritating the hell out of them is animal abuse pure and simple. Lets see you do some proper riding. Learn dressage which is cooperation and working together in harmony and balance.
Everyone knows these horses are shocked into a frenzy in the chute and flank straps infuriate horses into bucking.
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX We don't irritate the Hell out of them. Those horses are extremely calm when they're in the chute, unless they're really anxious to get out. They love their job. I can ride a normal saddle horse as well. I've been riding that way for atleast 4 years now. I know my way around a horse thanks. I also have several people to help me out if I don't know how to do something who just happen to be excellent horse trainers. Dressage has plenty of injuries as well.
@Alexandros1294@Alexandros1294 Calm ?? Haha, the people by the chute have tiny eletric shockers in their hands. Give up, these horses are goaded into a frenzy and the extra irritation of the flank strap drives them mad. You lead one of these horses in give the rider a leg up in the ring and no flank strap and they will be as quiet as sheep within two days.
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX No, we don't have "tiny electric shockers" at all. I ride these broncs just about every week in rodeos and practice sessions. We've never had to use caddle prods, and they're never brought in. Hell, the beginners all go loose without flank straps and the horses still buck like hell, just not as high or as straight, because the flank strap helps correct and enhance the motion. You're just spewing shit that SHARK has told you.
@standingatthedoor Right, you can't come up with arguments, fail to do research and come up with facts, and God forbid, go to an actual rodeo, and fail to see that I have been correct at all times and decide to resort to insults. I pity you. You know, most of the rodeo cowboys are actually incredibly nice people, and would be willing to enlighten you on things if you would ask, rather than act like an ass and put our sport down.
@Alexandros1294: They were not insults. Is the truth offensive to you as well?
"most of the rodeo cowboys are actually incredibly nice people" Nice people don't torment animals.
Have you seen their 'fine rodeo family values' they display openly for all to see? All that cuss and threat stuff, just sitting under the hat, ready to attack anyone who starts to show compassion for the critters...
@standingatthedoor Actually, they were insults. We don't torment animals. That's something that will never get through your thick skull. The horses love bucking us off. It's entertainment for them, just as much as it is for us. Rodeo is a sport, not public animal abuse, you're just an idiot who knows nothing of horses or livestock.
@Alexandros1294 :Truth, none the less. If you want to walk with them, prepare for a lot more to show up than what you have already seen and heard. You don't know what torment is. The horse is still bucking, long after the creep got off. Why? Would it be entertaining if we left you in a tight squeeze and just watched you dance and beg for relief? Would you call it a sport, whether we had your permission or not? I don't think so. Y'all cowards to even think of it...
@standingatthedoor Again, you're only showing just how ignorant you are. The horse doesn't buck because it's scared. It bucks because it's a natural instinct, and it has been trained to keep that natural instinct whenever someone gets on the animal's back. The horses are not in a tight squeeze. The flank strap isn't even on tight. If you cinch it up tight, the horse doesn't fucking move. The horse isn't begging for relief, he's having fun.
@Alexandros1294 A natural instinct called fear of predator on hind quarter is at work here. The horse is not having any fun in this clip thinking like that. You prey on the horse's reaction to this device for your own jollies. That is what a bully and their minions do. They have to feel pretty big about themselves, and how great they are, as to puff up their egos even further. What a waste of life. A Rodeo Rat Race if you ask me.
@standingatthedoor Horses aren't afraid of the people on their back. If they were afraid, they would just run, they wouldn't buck. You have shown your ignorance of horses, and quite frankly, it's making me laugh. Have you ever seen those horses when they're getting ready in the chute? They're extremely calm. Some are excited and want to go, and some will sit there and get ready too early and start bucking in the chute. I've never seen a scared one in there before.
@Alexandros1294 I'm talking about the hind quarter, not the back. Do you know the difference? It seems most of your knowledge about horses is how to be cruel to them without actually hurting them, and justifying your actions. So, now you a 'hero' who 'knows it all'?
No, you still a punk, trying to be a man.
All the horses are scared, which is why you punks resort to shock prods or wire stabbing. You need to prove what real 'men' y'all are. Ain't one in the whole arena...
@standingatthedoor You're delusional. At all of the rodeos and practice sessions I've been at, never once have we stabbed a horse with a wire or shocked it with a cattle prod. For one, if you cut a horse, typically it's just going to not move at all. If we hurt the horses or were cruel to them, they wouldn't do their job.
None of those horses are scared, if they were, they'd be freaking out behind the chute and making all sorts of crazy noises. Of course, they don't do this though... idiot.
@Alexandros1294 You are uninformed of what goes on at rodeos as well. Take off the blinders, and do some research on this stuff. Oh right, SHARK has all that stuff for you to see. Then explain how the footage got doctored to show fake injuries and the handling and hiding of shock prods. The horses get nervous when any of you creeps are getting close to them. Do you know why? Save it for homework. Let's hear your proof of all this fake stuff you tooted about earlier.
@standingatthedoor Shark is taking videos of Cheyenne Frontier Days, which the PRCA has been trying to shut down for years. If the PRCA wants them down, then yes, shit happens there. Cattle prods are only used if the horse stalls in the chute, because if the horse is stuck in there, it's more dangerous for both the horse and the rider if the horse starts bucking in there. The prod gets them out.
@Alexandros1294 The prod gets anything moving. And all the creeps in the rodeo want it used because they can get a better score, The critters pay for that one too, usually with stupid accidents that you so called 'experts' cause. FYI, the manufacturer states that these devices are not meant for horses, but rodeo, like their minions that follow it, disregard that and use it quite openly and frequently now.
@standingatthedoor Again, you're an idiot. I've been shocked by it before. It's supposed to get the animal moving. That's the point of it. It's used to get them out of the chute if the animal stalls, because otherwise there's a huuuuge chance of the animal and the horse being injured.
@Alexandros1294 What'll be next to move them, firecrackers? The device has a good purpose and a bad purpose. You thugs are using the bad one, on an animal that it is not meant for. That's 2 strikes, right there, sonnyboy. And we haven't even got to the creep on his back.
@standingatthedoor Why would we use firecrackers? The cattle prod is not 5,000 volts for one, and two, a lot of them also have settings that are ok to use with horses. We use it to keep the horse and the rider safe. You show just how immature you are by name calling and saying that we're all "creeps." I'm sure you would never say that to one of our faces though. You are quite the keyboard warrior.
@Alexandros1294 I worked with design and repair on these devices over 15 years. None have any settings for a horse. Unless you have a brand name to verify, I call you for lying. You use them to prove a point to the horse "Buck, or else". That makes y'all creeps, or any other title you deserve for your inadequate fulfilment of being a real man.
Thanks for the compliment. Its voice is on behalf of those who cannot.
@standingatthedoor Riiiight. Unless you can prove to me that you did work with design and repair on these devices, you're wrong. The horse would buck without the prod and without the flank strap. I see it all of the time.
@Alexandros1294 How technical do I need to be before your head spins? No make or model does not help your argument. Another fail, I'm sorry. Bucking events would not survive without a prod or a strap. Too many stallers, which would make y'all look stupid. Hey, y'al ready are.
@standingatthedoor Bucking events would be just fine without a prod and strap. I've seen it done that way before. All the flank strap is for is to enhance the motion of the buck. The horse is going to buck anyway.
@Alexandros1294 Try and explain that to Pittsburgh. There hasn't been a rodeo held there ever since 1991.
"The horse is going to buck anyway" Yes, on your stopwatch, at your command, with a pull of the strap, a prod to boot, and no one to stop you, except maybe a hoof or two.
@standingatthedoor Pittsburgh can suck a big one. I don't care if there's rodeo there or not. That's ONE city filled with liberals like you that don't know the difference between abuse and sporting. The flank strap for one, is not tight. Two, it's not needed. It just enhances the motion of the buck. Three, we don't kick the horse out of the chute. That's just plain stupid. Four, we all know the risks when we get on a bronc.
@Alexandros1294 I didn't mean the horse is physically kicked out, but I wouldn't put it past you. The prod is added to the mixture already being served. And before you deny that, I saw on a rodeo highschool clip of a calf being kicked out of the chute after he was dragged by his ears. Would that be plain stupid to do? We already know about the prison rodeos. The creeps are biting the horse's ears to get them up.
@Alexandros1294 OK, on a lighter side, you know the risks involved and you wish to take the chance. When you get hurt, remember, when you knew it, why you got it, and how stupid it was. How many young rodeo wannabes have a short 'career' with lifetime medical bills sent to the parents to look after? Who will appreciate your dumbass decision if you get hurt? Unless your doctor needs the extra cash, not even you will.
@standingatthedoor Think what you want. Rodeo isn't going away. If it was abusive, it would already be gone. I'm done arguing with a stubborn idiot like yourself.
@Alexandros1294 Yes, I do. PRCA is almost down the toilet because the public has become more aware of its abusive and cruel nature in order to operate. Thank you Shark, and the rodeo folk who made it all happen. Quitting so early without proving a point, Thats OK, at least you were polite. Wait, you're only 16. In less than 4 years, you'll be talking like the 'experts'. You'll need a rock to hide under by then, cause we ain't goin away either, sonny...
@standingatthedoor Well if rodeo gets banned in the states then I'll move somewhere where it isn't banned, or we'll just fight it and prove you wrong a thousand times.
@Alexandros1294 I'm still waiting for you to prove me wrong. Your arguments are outdated, and any facts you provided has been proven otherwise with mountains of video documentation detailed by SHARK, whom you agree with, "a lot of what SHARK claims is abuse". your words. It just does not look good for rodeo any more...
@standingatthedoor When did I say I agreed with Shark? In the entire sentence of what I said, I said that Shark doesn't know abuse. They claim different practices are cruel, abusive, and very harmful to the animals, when shortly after the supposed "injury" happened, the animals were just fine. Think what you want, I don't really care. There's no way I'm going to convince an idiot that has never been around a rodeo arena that knows nothing about it, that it isn't abusive.
@Alexandros1294 What video is that? All the injuries I see the critters receive are real, no acting. And with every injury, there is human intervention, or lack of, that caused it to happen. And you have critical evidence that proves otherwise? Please enlighten all of us, and save the rodeo from further shame and embarassment.
@standingatthedoor How many rodeo's have you been to? Where do you plan to put all of these unwanted animals after rodeo is gone? Have you ever been to a stockcontracters home? Have you ever been shocked with a hot shot? Have you ever looked at rodeo from the other sides view? I have. Its not abuse. don't post on our video's. I've tried to talk reason with shark, but he will never post my comments because he has no response. When you can say yes to the above questions, then we'll listen.
@thebuckskin07 Wow, are you ever holding the fort up! A real man 'in charge'. And with an open mind, NOT. You are just as much fodder, with nowhere to run and hide anymore, as everyone else who behaves like this. But go ahead, I'll tell ya like it is.
@standingatthedoor You havn't told me anything about how it is. You dodged every question i asked you. Which leaves me guessing the answer is NO. That leaves you with no right for an opinion on something you know nothing about. I'm not hidding or running. I'm stating facts. Your trying to insult me. Last resort of any arguement is to insult. Please, tell like it is?
self proclamation in being an expert in any field or even to know alot in a field does not cut it.

Don't mind this idiot GODBLESSAMERICA71 aka tastegold77. She is an obssessive compulsive lunatic who fails in everything she does in life. She enjoys maligning third world people while claiming to be American since it comforts her from her low life insecurity.

I know enough about horse body language to know that a horse that is scared will run not buck! Plus horses that are scared wont move freely like broncs do after the ride. These horses are not shaking or hunching down. Do you know anything about horses?
thebuckskin07 1 year ago
@thebuckskin07 OK, so the torment level is somewhere between hunching and running. He knows the running will get away from any further abuse, but at the same time, the strap is a DISCOMFORT to the horse's natural ability to think straight. For you, to take his place, how about a small stone in your boot for your discomfort. Walk around, hold your face, walk funny, and tell us you're having fun. Give me a break.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@thebuckskin07 Nut job. Why don't you volunteer to have a strap attached to your fat ass and see if it hurts! That is if we can find a big enough one for you lard ass!
GODBLESSAMERICA71 11 months ago
When is this horse harmed? Where did you learn to speak to horses? Did it tell you it wasn't having fun? It wouldn't do it if it didn't want to. I've seen plenty of horses that never bucked with a flank. If they all bucked then the good ones wouldn't be worth so much! Not all are "rank and mean" as you called it.
thebuckskin07 1 year ago
@thebuckskin07 Regarding the insult that your delicate feelings detected earlier? How is it you can be so sensitive to YOUR feelings, and unable to have anything for someone else's, including the creatures? Because rodeo HAS NO COMPASSION, neither do you. Don't bother whining about all the name calling in your sloppy defense, If the shoe fits, wear it...
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor You can not tell me this horse was injured or that it was in pain during the ride. People say thier horses love to show, trail ride, rope, barrle race and jump. However the only thing if ever seen a horse do on his own in a pasture is buck. I've never seen a show horse work the rail in the pasture. Have you? You have no idea where these horses would be with out rodeo. They wouldn't be slaughtered because your kind has that shut down.
thebuckskin07 1 year ago
@thebuckskin07 He was in torment the moment he left the chute. The outcome is unknown because the clip was terminated, while the horse was still 'performing', but there is proof, in other videos that tell us more about what happens at these kind of events. As far as psychological damage, which is probably way over your head, can anyone give any of these horses a big hug in the arena for a 'job' well done? No, because the horses are TERRIFIED of humans, especially the ones who own them.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor psychological damage? I have a horse at home that i can load in the chute with a lead rope around his neck, buck off most guys with him, then saddle him and put my nephews on him. They do it because they want to. They wouldn't other wise. if every horse bucked then the good ones wouldn't be worth so much. If thier so terrified then why do they lead so well back to the pens. BECAUSE THIER NOT SCARED!!!! Your not seeing anything but what you want to.
thebuckskin07 1 year ago
@thebuckskin07 Are you trying to say that a horse does not have any feelings? What kept them as the oldest creature of survival on this planet with us? They're a lot smarter than most humans, still. You see yet you are blind. You can't read body language until you have a strap and prod in the midst of your 'party'. Perhaps we could change your title to "Horse Abuse Lover". A more fitting ring for you to wear. GOT PRIDE? NOPE.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor If you shut down rodeo then you will cause more harm then you ever imagined rodeo to do! You have no idea what your talking about.

@aiexandros trying to defend an abusive spectacle is hopeless. It is all documented. lf a young horse is broken in properly it rarely bucks. l have over 50 years experience and am a qualified riding instructor. Yoü are exploiting horses for amusment.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 1 year ago
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX Like I said. Not very many horses have that natural 'want' to buck all of the time. The ones that do, go to rodeos. I fail to see how it's considered abuse, because bucking is a natural instinct in a horse anyway, and horses like bucking anyway. Hell, mine buck in the field all the time just while they're playing around.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 Stop defending a corrupt "sport" Take off the bucking strap, have the horses in an enclosed chute so these abusers can't shock them and then see what happens. These horses will NOT continue to buck for long.

Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@no1horselover I've hit myself with my bronc riding spurs as hard as I can before and I didn't get cut at all. They're rounded, very dull, and free rolling. We have the welfare of the horse in mind when we make the rules. The saddles are also extremely padded so as to not cause discomfort. If something's prodding the horse or irritating it, the horse won't do its job and won't buck. It will just stand there.

this animal cruelty shit is terrible all u stupid people that think this is so awful are just retarded this has been happenin for over a hundred years and this arguing on u tube is stupid and honestly these horses if they didn't want to buck would not buck the flank encourages not provokes horses don't always buck with the flank on

standingatthedoor 3 years ago
Trust me, it's far from cruel. Sure a certain stock contractor can be cruel, but most of them aren't.They all receive high quality food while on the road, and most are limited to only a few rides per month before they get to go to pasture for a break. They are bred specifically for a nice clean jump in order to make a good looking and high scoring ride. And as far as roping goes, have you ever witnessed a calf or steer killed during an event. The worst I've seen is rope burn. Which is preventable

Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@QuarterHorselover12 Actually it's not cruel at all. Accidents happen in every sport. The injury rate of these animals in one year just in rodeos is like 0.0047 percent. The people get hurt a lot more than the animals do. Quit being such a whiny ass.

if you want to argue against rodeo for being cruel to animals then argue against show jumping, horse racing, and dressage as well. If you do the research yo0u will realise that these events have a much higher injury rate than rodeo. O wait you guys dont want to do research you just want to say what shark tells you. Why dont you grow up and start looking up your own shit and use facts not heresay from someone who doesnt know shit about rodeo.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Wouldn't want to confuse the issue by minimizing it. I'll stick to rodeo, thanks anyway.
PS...I did my research very well and you should too.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
k the information that you always give usually doesnt make sense to anyone that has actually been to a rodeo. sure i give facts off of a keyboard but i also rodeo and have been attending rodeos my whole life. you said you get your info from a camera. you have probably never even been behind the scenes at a rodeo. all of my info is from personal experince which is alot better than a camera anyday.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
you know nothing of rodeo as is how can you talk for us cowboys ya damn city slicker. until you get some real facts and not the shit that shark and other animal rights groups have made up, i will not be able to take anything that you say seriously. get real facts. for instance the chance that a rodeo animal will get hurt is .006% that is a fact you get some that make sense and not just heresay maybe then you might make a difference or is all you animal rights people have to go on is lies.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Out of 100,000 critters, only 6 get injured??? That's a fact I'd like to see you support with some proof, since the PRCA does not disclose any information about the injuries to anyone. We have video footage to show, you only have lies.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
actually the PCRA does disclose that information. i got that from the 2006 PCRA livestock survey. if you ask for it they do give out the information. which again shows how foolish you people are. if you are going try and make me sound stupid maybe you should actually try and get the facts before you go and and open your mouths. If you want the information go to the PCRA website and ask them to email it to you. and in most of your videos there are actaully very few animals getting hurt so...
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:The PCRA deals with petroleum conservation, so you won't get anything about injured animals from them. However the PRCA does exist and if anyone could get something from them, surely SHARK would get it also. Good luck proving your invalid point. You do know the PRCA, don't you?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
sorry that was a typo i did mean the PRCA and yes they do give out the information if you do ask for it that is how i got it. just because shark hasnt got that information doesnt mean that they cant get it. if i can get hold of it surely shark can get it . it isnt to hard to get i just asked for it. and they sent it too me the next day.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
also you blame us for being stupid you should double check your math if you use 6/100000 is actually .00006 which is a big difference from .0006 which i stated and that only works out to be 6/10000. also you claim to have footage but very little of your footage actually contains animals getting injured. also i find it hard to belive that you know about rodeo. you may think you do but what you know is probably a mere sliver of what i know so dont try to tell me things about rodeo.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:I didn't blame you for being stupid, you're doing quite well on your own. Did you flunk math as well? You stated .006%. 6% is 6 units of a 100. Move the decimal 3 places to the left and add 3 more 0's to the 100. :)
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
i did accidentaly state .006 in the first one but i later corrected it to be .0006 which is the the true stat. dont just rely on the information that shark has, go out there and get your own information and inform yourself on the subject dont just go by what one person says.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Actually you stated it as .006%in two videos I know of. Even so, if the number of injuries is so low, (6 out of 10,000 is still awesome), the PRCA would surely post it. That would certainly help your cause. However, the steer tripping alone is enough to tell a totally different story...
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
k ill give you the fact straight off the report since you dont believe me...
Following are the results of the
2006 survey:
TOTAL ANIMAL EXPOSURES: 61992
NUMBER OF RODEO PERFORMANCES: 159
SECTIONS OF SLACK: 67
NUMBER OF INJURIES: 38
INJURY RATE: .0006
if you want to confirm this email the PRCA and ask nicely for it and they will email it to you. they also have comments from the vets on this survey it is called 2006 PRCA LIVESTOCK SURVEY if you are wondering, they also sent me 2004
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:This survey smells worse than a dead skunk in a barrel. How can anyone rely on information from an organization like the PRCA that is corrupt to the bone? Sorry, you'll have to do a whole lot better than that.

ranchhandks:Sorry, we're not the ones who are overbreeding and abusing the horses. Usually noted for their bad grammar and spelling as a result of not paying attention in school because of endless daydreaming about rodeo.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
actually it is not the ranches and rodeos that are over breeding it is the city person that wants to try and be a cowboy and so and goes and buys a horse but doesnt realize how much it takes to care for the horses and so disposes them in the country hoping that the ranchers will take the horse in and feed it. You seriuosly need to get your facts straight. cause right now your sounding like a fucking moron who nows next to shit about country life. Dont use us as a escape goat for your mistakes.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Drop the city/country people crap. It's the cowboy wannabe that's making you look bad. The fact that you support them as well as the rodeo industry that thrives on animal abuse is your choice and your mistake. Everyone eats their own crow, and this one is yours. So, open wide now. :)
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
wow it looks like thats a sensitive issue for you city folks. maybe if you visited the country once in a while you would have a different view. but no your still the narrow minded city boy fuck up that has nothing better to do than bash a lifestyle that you are probably envious off. hell everyone knows chicks dig the cowboys. so what if there are the fakers and the true cowboys it dont really matter to you guys you group us all together anyways. why dont you go and fuck off until you get facts..
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Not a sensitive issue for city folks, because its the wannabes dressed up in cowboy costumes doing the damage. Bashing the animals around as a lifestyle is nothing to be proud of or envious about either. Myself, I prefer the real thing. Who wants a phoney? A real man or woman does not abuse critters. Obviously, you still have a lot of growing up to do.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
i dont need to do some growing up. i grew up with this type of lifestyle. all you do is bash us rodeo folk most of which come from a ranching background. how would you feel if i came up to you and told you what you do for a living was fucking pathetic and that so were you. alright i dont get why people who have no clue about animals or how they are handled can even begin to think that they can tell us that were wrong. maybe if you got some real facts. i might, MIGHT be able to take you seriously
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:The horses are not wild or rank, they're motivated through torment and fear. Breaking and training a horse serves a purpose. Using flank straps and hot shots not only show how the animals are being treated, it also shows the weakness of what a cowboy is all about. You still haven't answered my question. What kind of cowboy would treat a horse like that?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
these horse are not terrified except for the firts couple times in the chute. after that they know what to expect. it is the same as breaking a colt the first couple times you get on they are frightened and c
scared but after they know their job. as to what kind of cowboy i ride saddle bronc and i train colts and i run our ranching operation the ones that oppose rodeos arent really rue cowboys in my opinion cause it is apart of our heritage and all rodeo events have their roots in ranching.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:You did not answer my question. What kind of cowboy would treat a horse with flank straps and electric prods??? Now you say "all rodeo events have their roots in ranching", your words. Where does bullriding become a part of ranch work?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
the prods arent used all the time only on chute stallers and the flanks dont hurt a horse no matter what you say. Now for a little history lesson when on a trailride in the old days the cowboys would rope the rankest steer and one of them would get on it and ride it. It was done for the fun of it much as it is now except if the guy was able to last a certain time period on the steer he would get the steer to sell as his own. there ya go i never said ranch work i said ranching
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Are you saying then that a real cowboy straps and occasionally shocks the horses, and bullriding became part of ranch playing?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
ya that was how bulriding came in. and yes when dealing with rodeo, there are some things that you dont understand for instance the reason we shock chute stallers is because it is dangerous for both the rider and horse when the horse stalls in the chute. When that happens the threat for injury greatly increases so in order for the horse to move out without hesitation they get shocked. The prod is supported by many vets to be humane and that is why we use it. Iv also already explained the flank..
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:That's some great storytelling there. The ones which exhibit the most fear or "rank" as you would call it, is now your pride and joy.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
Buck, or else...
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
i would like to see this wire cause unless you are refering to the wire hooks that are used to hook the cinches on the saddles. No one will use wire to make the animal buck that is something that you animal activists made of to get sympathy.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Sorry, wrong again. Shark has some videos on his site, showing these thugs stabbing bulls with coathanger wire to make them "perform". And everyone involved in the chute are not doing anything at all to stop it, not even the judges. This is the PRCA at work. There are no real cowboys in this one either, just a bunch of phoney wannabes.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
K i havent saw this video yet. I cant say that they didnt stab the bull or not but my guess is that the guy is standing above the bull and trying to hook his bull rope with the wire not trying to stab the bull that is how they hook their rope if you actually look at how they do stuff you would realise this.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:I watched the video, again. The wire stabbing is really quite obvious and blatant to say the least. The animals don't deserve this treatment, but rodeo has another excuse for that one too. Are you catching my drift now?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
as said before i havent seen this video tell me the name of it and i will see this my self and if he is stabbing the bull as you say then it is a differnt story.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:Go to Shark's website. The link is on his YouTube channel. At the bottom there is a search engine. Type wire stabbing and the video is in the results.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
ok after looking at the video you are correct but this is also the first i have ever heard of this due to the fact that is a very rare occurance. this is not right but it is also not illegal according to PRCA rules. the man in his defence though is not hitting the animals hard enough for it to really cause any real pain he is merely tapping the bull. i agree this should not happen but again there are no rules yet saying that it is illegal.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:He's tapping the bull with a heavy strand of wire, and you have an excuse for that. So, buddy, where does that put you?
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
that puts me on the side of rodeo cause unlike you morons i cant judge rodeo by the actions of one guy. I give you facts and you call them stupid but they still are facts. what do you guys have. NOTHING but heresay, it just goes to show how stupid and blind you guys are. You ask for facts i give you facts and yet you still cant come to reality and realise that rodeo is not as bad as you people make it out to be. just grow up and accept the facts.
saddlebronc01 3 years ago
saddlebronc01:It's not one guy, everyone knew what was happening, even the impotent judges. Your facts are off a keyboard, mine facts are off a camera, and we both know that cameras don't lie. Like I said earlier, you need to grow up and realize that rodeo is what it is. Abuse, cruelty and full of corruption. That includes the language too.
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
@standingatthedoor Cameras can lie just as easily as keyboards can. Tampered video footage is just as unreliable as some idiot like you typing on a keyboard.

Alexandros1294 1 year ago
Vets use a prod for a medical reason, to move the animal along. Rodeo uses it for their entertainment purposes and your "sport" is getting carried away from a lack of respect for the animals. And since you cannot answer the question directly which I asked you three times in earlier posts, let me tell you what kind of cowboy treats the animals like this. A PHONEY ONE! I personally don't think there is a real cowboy in all of rodeo, because if there was,
standingatthedoor 3 years ago
your butts would be toast after he saw the treatment of the animals you so "love" as you use his title. The biggest problem is not us exposing you for the cowards you are, its your inability to be a real cowboy. And while you cuss at the rest of us when you also profess yourselves as Christians in your little rodeo prayer meeting just before you start banging the daylights out of the critters, you can take that one up with Him.

standingatthedoor 3 years ago
The horses have a natural athletic ability, much like jumpers, barrel horses, or any other performance horse. These just buck, and they are trained to do so. The flank gives them incentive to kick out, it is uncomfortable, but not painful. If he were flanked too tight he couldn't buck at all. And I can't emphasize enough that these horses are TRAINED to buck. It's their job, and hot-shoting a horse in a chute will only make him try to jump out or flip over, both are not safe for the rider.
HorseJudger413 3 years ago
What a lot of nonsense !! The ONLY way you can get these horses to buck is have a bucking strap which is tightened on a soft sensitive area that the horse can't bear. The horses are rough handled in the chute and discretely elec. prodded with a tiny prodder that fits in the hand. They are continually spurred. This is a cruel business, no doubt of that.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 3 years ago
If you flank anything too tight it can't move. Why do you think calf ropers grab the calf under the flank to throw him? So he can't kick out and is easier to throw. If a horse can be trained to jump or race or whatever, he can also be trained to buck. I don't expect anyone who has never been behind the chutest to know what I'm talking about though.
HorseJudger413 3 years ago
Bullshit, if you didn't have the bucking strap on, didn't electrolly shock them and spur them then just watch how quick they stop bucking. I have broken in loads of horses and know how horses react. Calf roping is even worse than rodeos, scaring the life out of confused babies and throwing them about. Call that animal abuse? it is and of the highest degree.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 3 years ago
The flank helps, but since all he knows is bucking then believe me, he will buck. It just may not be as hard and he won't kick out as much. I'm proud of you that you've broke a horse or two, but honestly it all just sounds like another 13 year old self-proclaimed horse trainer with little or no real livestock experience. Like I said, if you've never been behind the chutes you don't really know what goes on, do you? Actual experience always outrules hearsay.
HorseJudger413 3 years ago
I stick by every word i said in the post under.
I am a qualified riding instructor and have competed very successfully in equine sports where horses are trained with care and understanding to reach a comfortable partnership. Rodeos are animal abuse and as i said calf roping even worse.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 3 years ago
And I stand by my post, if you've never been a part of it, you just don't know for sure how it works. You have to agree however that abuse occurs in every aspect of the equine industry, show horses being some of the worst. I'm sorry we have a difference in opinion, but I really think you should be better informed before you make generalizations about an entire event. That's like me saying all jumpers jump so high because they are rapped in training. See my point?
HorseJudger413 3 years ago
I don't need to be a part of it, i can see it is abuse through and through. It's just tormenting horses.
All equine activities have abuse somewhere but never as a stand point like rodeos, it can never be anything else but severe irritation to an animal just to entertain at their cost and make wannabe macho guys feel for a moment they actually are.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 3 years ago
I would think as a riding instructor you would know that actual experience gives a much better perspective than just standing and watching. I'm not here to change your mind, I don't care to change your mind. I just think that since you apparently have no experience with bucking stock, then just maybe you should be careful of the throwing your opinion out like it's a fact.
HorseJudger413 3 years ago
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX OH REALLY? Explain to me how on my VERY first bronc ride then, no one put a flank strap on my horse, and that no one shocked it and he started bucking? The spurring is to help keep the rider on and to encourage the horse to go on more. The horse is going to buck anyway. Trust me. Its been trained to, that's what it was bred to do, that's what the fucking horse is going to do.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 Using horses for entertainment by irritating the hell out of them is animal abuse pure and simple. Lets see you do some proper riding. Learn dressage which is cooperation and working together in harmony and balance.
Everyone knows these horses are shocked into a frenzy in the chute and flank straps infuriate horses into bucking.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 1 year ago
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX We don't irritate the Hell out of them. Those horses are extremely calm when they're in the chute, unless they're really anxious to get out. They love their job. I can ride a normal saddle horse as well. I've been riding that way for atleast 4 years now. I know my way around a horse thanks. I also have several people to help me out if I don't know how to do something who just happen to be excellent horse trainers. Dressage has plenty of injuries as well.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 @Alexandros1294 Calm ?? Haha, the people by the chute have tiny eletric shockers in their hands. Give up, these horses are goaded into a frenzy and the extra irritation of the flank strap drives them mad. You lead one of these horses in give the rider a leg up in the ring and no flank strap and they will be as quiet as sheep within two days.
JUMPTHEGUNZZX 1 year ago
@JUMPTHEGUNZZX No, we don't have "tiny electric shockers" at all. I ride these broncs just about every week in rodeos and practice sessions. We've never had to use caddle prods, and they're never brought in. Hell, the beginners all go loose without flank straps and the horses still buck like hell, just not as high or as straight, because the flank strap helps correct and enhance the motion. You're just spewing shit that SHARK has told you.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 :'SHARK FODDER'
That is what you are, and what you will ever be, until you, or any of your "friends" decide to grow up. So, suck it up and deal with it, sonny.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Right, you can't come up with arguments, fail to do research and come up with facts, and God forbid, go to an actual rodeo, and fail to see that I have been correct at all times and decide to resort to insults. I pity you. You know, most of the rodeo cowboys are actually incredibly nice people, and would be willing to enlighten you on things if you would ask, rather than act like an ass and put our sport down.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294: They were not insults. Is the truth offensive to you as well?
"most of the rodeo cowboys are actually incredibly nice people" Nice people don't torment animals.
Have you seen their 'fine rodeo family values' they display openly for all to see? All that cuss and threat stuff, just sitting under the hat, ready to attack anyone who starts to show compassion for the critters...
Rodeo is public animal abuse, not a sport.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Actually, they were insults. We don't torment animals. That's something that will never get through your thick skull. The horses love bucking us off. It's entertainment for them, just as much as it is for us. Rodeo is a sport, not public animal abuse, you're just an idiot who knows nothing of horses or livestock.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 :Truth, none the less. If you want to walk with them, prepare for a lot more to show up than what you have already seen and heard. You don't know what torment is. The horse is still bucking, long after the creep got off. Why? Would it be entertaining if we left you in a tight squeeze and just watched you dance and beg for relief? Would you call it a sport, whether we had your permission or not? I don't think so. Y'all cowards to even think of it...
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Again, you're only showing just how ignorant you are. The horse doesn't buck because it's scared. It bucks because it's a natural instinct, and it has been trained to keep that natural instinct whenever someone gets on the animal's back. The horses are not in a tight squeeze. The flank strap isn't even on tight. If you cinch it up tight, the horse doesn't fucking move. The horse isn't begging for relief, he's having fun.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 A natural instinct called fear of predator on hind quarter is at work here. The horse is not having any fun in this clip thinking like that. You prey on the horse's reaction to this device for your own jollies. That is what a bully and their minions do. They have to feel pretty big about themselves, and how great they are, as to puff up their egos even further. What a waste of life. A Rodeo Rat Race if you ask me.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Horses aren't afraid of the people on their back. If they were afraid, they would just run, they wouldn't buck. You have shown your ignorance of horses, and quite frankly, it's making me laugh. Have you ever seen those horses when they're getting ready in the chute? They're extremely calm. Some are excited and want to go, and some will sit there and get ready too early and start bucking in the chute. I've never seen a scared one in there before.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 I'm talking about the hind quarter, not the back. Do you know the difference? It seems most of your knowledge about horses is how to be cruel to them without actually hurting them, and justifying your actions. So, now you a 'hero' who 'knows it all'?
No, you still a punk, trying to be a man.
All the horses are scared, which is why you punks resort to shock prods or wire stabbing. You need to prove what real 'men' y'all are. Ain't one in the whole arena...
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor You're delusional. At all of the rodeos and practice sessions I've been at, never once have we stabbed a horse with a wire or shocked it with a cattle prod. For one, if you cut a horse, typically it's just going to not move at all. If we hurt the horses or were cruel to them, they wouldn't do their job.
None of those horses are scared, if they were, they'd be freaking out behind the chute and making all sorts of crazy noises. Of course, they don't do this though... idiot.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 You are uninformed of what goes on at rodeos as well. Take off the blinders, and do some research on this stuff. Oh right, SHARK has all that stuff for you to see. Then explain how the footage got doctored to show fake injuries and the handling and hiding of shock prods. The horses get nervous when any of you creeps are getting close to them. Do you know why? Save it for homework. Let's hear your proof of all this fake stuff you tooted about earlier.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Shark is taking videos of Cheyenne Frontier Days, which the PRCA has been trying to shut down for years. If the PRCA wants them down, then yes, shit happens there. Cattle prods are only used if the horse stalls in the chute, because if the horse is stuck in there, it's more dangerous for both the horse and the rider if the horse starts bucking in there. The prod gets them out.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 The prod gets anything moving. And all the creeps in the rodeo want it used because they can get a better score, The critters pay for that one too, usually with stupid accidents that you so called 'experts' cause. FYI, the manufacturer states that these devices are not meant for horses, but rodeo, like their minions that follow it, disregard that and use it quite openly and frequently now.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor Again, you're an idiot. I've been shocked by it before. It's supposed to get the animal moving. That's the point of it. It's used to get them out of the chute if the animal stalls, because otherwise there's a huuuuge chance of the animal and the horse being injured.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago

I see it all the time...

@standingatthedoor Bucking events would be just fine without a prod and strap. I've seen it done that way before. All the flank strap is for is to enhance the motion of the buck. The horse is going to buck anyway.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago

Alexandros1294 1 year ago

Alexandros1294 1 year ago

Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 I'm still waiting for you to prove me wrong. Your arguments are outdated, and any facts you provided has been proven otherwise with mountains of video documentation detailed by SHARK, whom you agree with, "a lot of what SHARK claims is abuse". your words. It just does not look good for rodeo any more...
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor When did I say I agreed with Shark? In the entire sentence of what I said, I said that Shark doesn't know abuse. They claim different practices are cruel, abusive, and very harmful to the animals, when shortly after the supposed "injury" happened, the animals were just fine. Think what you want, I don't really care. There's no way I'm going to convince an idiot that has never been around a rodeo arena that knows nothing about it, that it isn't abusive.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@Alexandros1294 What video is that? All the injuries I see the critters receive are real, no acting. And with every injury, there is human intervention, or lack of, that caused it to happen. And you have critical evidence that proves otherwise? Please enlighten all of us, and save the rodeo from further shame and embarassment.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago

But go ahead, I'll tell ya like it is.
standingatthedoor 1 year ago
@standingatthedoor You havn't told me anything about how it is. You dodged every question i asked you. Which leaves me guessing the answer is NO. That leaves you with no right for an opinion on something you know nothing about. I'm not hidding or running. I'm stating facts. Your trying to insult me. Last resort of any arguement is to insult. Please, tell like it is?
