Rick, and also either Bobby (or was it Toby, now I'm second guessing myself) played with Mitch Ryder when he made a comeback and had somewhat of a hit in the mid 80's.
These guys were Indy north siders! I was a teenager in the 70's and saw them in concert several times opening for bands like Aerosmith and Journey. The guys used to come through the service station I worked at at the time and were cool dudes. Roadmaster bassist Toby Myers went on to play with John Mellencamp and was featured on several of his albums from the 80's and 90's. Guitarist Rick Bennick played with Henry Lee Summer for a spell, too.
I was a teenager in Indy in the 70's and saw Roadmaster several times. A local radio station sponsered a raft race every summer and would have free music, including Roadmaster, colorful rafts, and half naked women. Throw in a few beers and a couple of joint and you had the making of a good summer day!
I remember my Sister winning this promo LP at The Light, One Hot Disco in Flint Mi around 1979. The bar and Disco Sucked, But this album Rocked and still sounds great! Thanks for the posting, TK
