its hard to argue who has the original accent my friends as one can claim pakistani punjabi has been influenced heavily by urdu as indian punjabi has by hindi. regardless even though my background is sikh indian punjabi. i gotta say that the majority of the old punjab is still in pakistan with alot of its history there. agreed lahore is the true capital of punjab. both sides need to rejoin one day! oh yeah this dude is sick! good voice!

its a tough question, whats the original accent of punjabi...well, most punjabi ancestors came from central asia, from places like iran..so i wud say the original punjabi accent is of persian style...

The word Punjab is a combo of two words. Punj - is the number and abb - is Arabic word for water. The language Punjabi has its roots in Pashto and Farsi.
