  • AMOOOOOOOOOOOOO O/

  • RRRRROGER TAYLOOOR

  • Freedom dla Internetu

  • really miss you!!!!

  • Love Roger singing the lead!!!

  • i'm depressed. Adding "queen" along with "rock it" shouldn't be neccesary to find this......stupid music these days

  • Hoorah!

  • Queen one of the greatest bands of all time

  • we fuckin' miss you Freddie....

  • @constantinos9 Yeh..life is short!

  • the whole album "The Game" reminds me of my brother Rich. I love and miss you brother!!!

  • I cant believe this. This has been my favorite Queen song. I remember buy the album and cassette when it came out when i was a teen. I could recite every word and NOT ONCE did i know that roger sang this song. I just assumed hearing Freddie on the intro and all the other that it was freddie. I feel embarressed that i did NOT know that Roger sang this song.

  • oh lord, fenomenal!!!!!!:)

  • Freddie forever!

  • When I hear that rock and roll...

It gets down to my soul

When it's Queen rock and roll...

  • Bought the game on record in 97,found one in great condition. getting harder and harder to find decent originals now, hardly play any of them anymore. cd's.. bah..

  • Muito massa essa musica a voz do Roger deu um toque final é d+++++!!!!

  • LUV THIS SONG! first Queen album I bought as a kid. It was lined with 1 awesome song after the other. Play the game!

  • I love Queen! RIP Freddie Mercury. No one had a voice like his.

  • @wpnschick

Except Roger Taylor, considering it's him singing.

  • Those are some spectacular photos, Allisen.

  • Roger voice is so sexy : )

  • One of the last Queen tracks sung by Roger Taylor. Why? he's a great singer!

  • I love the beginning of this song when Freddie sings solo it is just so amazing

    R.I.P Freddie <3

  • @queenloverxx It's beautiful! Starts off slow with Freddie....then turns into a Roger Taylor romping rock song! Still love this song after all these years! The Game album was controversial with Queen fans because it was the first time they used synthesizers. It's still one of my favorite albums! I love how Brian's solo starts out so crazy...offbeat and seemingly impossible, lol.

  • One of my absolute favorite Queen, i love Queen, but this number. Wauuuww. I heard i 100 times a day when it came out, it still touch my heart deeply. Thanks Queen.

  • Roger Taylor, such a voice,he should have been up front more often vocally with Queen..no one is better than Freddie, let me make that clear lol,but "I'm in love with my car" for example..just awesome

  • @philiplindblom my fave song off this album..the inro is so freakin' epic

  • excelenteee quenn

  • Wind the speakers up and enjoy...

  • @Twosharppencils i just got this album so my neighbors will be enjoying it too! ;D

  • Why is there only one album with this? It's one of the best Queen songs there is.

  • I LOVE this song. Listen to it on my MP3 all the time, gives me confidence to strut down the street like I own the place :)

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITE QUEEN SONGS!!!

    ROCK IT BABY!!!

  • to the people who doesnt like Queen

  • @QUEENMUSICAUDIO He's not a son of a devil. He's way below the devils standart!

  • roger taylor is the best drummer in the whole world dont say that roger taylor is gay no he is not fucking haters

  • @invisiblehax0r Spoken like a true uneducated cunt :)

  • BIEBER BIEBER BIEBER!!!!!

  • WHOS THE NEXT CLOWN?

  • Great tune! I used to think it was Brian May who sang this song. Guess I was wrong.

  • Queens best song on their best album. If this doesn't get the juices flowing check your pulse. You're probably dead

  • I like it...it sounds influenced by punk and New Wave while still a good Queen song.

  • It's so unfair to Brian and Roger that they're singing in the same band as Freddie - they are truly amazing vocalists, but seem quite mediocre in comparison.

  • @CentraCross How about properly listening to this or Sleeping on the sidewalk - Brian

  • @CentraCross Listen to No one but you and then see if you can still say that!!

  • @runwayblond Freddie doesn't sing on those tracks (obviously not the latter, may he RIP) - so they're not really good to compare - Because they are adapting their singing to the music, and it is too unique to each song to be able to compare vocals between different songs. A good example however is "Let me Live". Truly outstanding performances by all three, but freddie is still the better singer by far.

As we and they all knew.

Why else would Brian and Roger get another vocalist to their band?

  • @CentraCross Everyone has their own opinions, but I think they all had their own qualities. Just wish John sung too.

  • I soooooooooooo love listening to Roger sing, the Game was the first Queen album I ever heard, I fell in love with his voice on the first listen!

Also love watching Roger ... :) in pictures, in action, really doesn't matter ...

  • A cover version of "Rock It (Prime Jive)" was used as the theme to Hanna-Barbera's controversial animated film Rock Odyssey. :P

    Love The Beginning !!

  • Good song from my favourite band. :)

  • Vídeo very cool. I wish you success...

  • love it! Just so good.

  • writen by taylor (:

  • I love this song. It has such good guitar riffs and a good melody and beat.

But the only problem with me is that it should of been about something else than just rock n roll. Roger should of wrote about like love or a different topic than just about rock.

  • Completely, utterly, without a doubt, no way no how, ridiculously and astonishingly underrated song. This was my favorite Queen song of all time....until Under Pressure.

  • la mejor banda saludos desde uruguay

  • Totally Rocks This Song. LOVE IT !!!!

  • 3:01 "Do you want some gaaaanjaaaa? do you want some gaaaanjaaaaa?"

  • Roger's my idol !! xD

    Vive Queen !

  • Love this song !

  • Roger's voice is great!

  • Adoro la voz de Roger Taylor

  • fantastic song!!!

  • i love u freedie ur a god in music

  • @philiplindblom - totally agree - how about Roger jumping out of the car @ 3:05?- LOVE IT!

  • quality tune

  • Freddies voice is just killer in this song :)) Phenomenoal my friend!!!

  • Grande Roger alla Batteria senti che voce graffiante !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Veramente Forte !!!!!!!!

  • they never made a bad song...:)

  • @shegica

I am disappointed, cause this song is so underrated. It could be the anthem of the Earth.

  • @shegica

Quote: "they never made a bad song."

Yes they did. It was called "I Wanna Break Free." Bloody wretched.

And the official video is enough to make any straight man cringe. I'm straight and I don't advocate hatred or persecution of gays, but that video ... I mean, c'mon -- what were they thinking?

  • @Ken5244 true... yes. but the good out weighthe bad ; )

  • @0INeuroI0

They did some other clunkers too -- "Body Language," for example. But on balance, yeah, I agree the good (1973 to ~ 1980) outweighs the bad.

  • @Ken5244 =D heehe plays again ... cheers man thats my first comment back ... an what a great vid to play an receive it to...........

    cranks it up ; )

    happy ears!

    =P

  • @Ken5244 I agree with you, the video is crazy, but I still like the song :)

  • @shegica

Yeah, to each his own, I guess. I don't like the vid or the song. Both creep me out. *laugh*

  • @Ken5244 Its English humor. Dressing in drag is not uncommon at all, and it was a parody of a famous British sitcom. Sad bit is, no one outside of Britain got the joke.

But I really like the I Want to Break Free song.

  • @SigandGibbs

Well, dressing in drag is one thing if it's done by a straight guy, for a laugh (a la Benny Hill), but Freddie doing it -- coupled with the lyrics -- gave it a different meaning.

I didn't know it was a parody of a British sitcom, however. Which one?

  • @Ken5244 Eh, I know what you mean, about Freddie singing it, but it was written by the bassist. And not ALL the members of Queen are gay :P It was a parody of Coronation Street, with each band member playing a different character.

  • @SigandGibbs

I didn't know John wrote it. Like most people, I figured Freddie wrote it for the same reason, and along the same lyrical lines, as "Under Pressure" before it.

"Coronation Street" never aired in the U.S., so of course I didn't get the connection. And I know the other members of Queen aren't gay (AFAIK). Although now I have to wonder about John .... *laugh*

  • @Ken5244 No worries, I didn't get it either when I saw it. I only know that because I've read a decent amount about Queen since the first time I saw that video haha

  • @SigandGibbs

Yeah, I just read up on it on Wikipedia today.

I don't know why they didn't just put a tag on the beginning or end of the video, briefly explaining that it's a parody of a British TV show. That would've saved them a lot of grief and lost fans outside of Britain. I mean, how could they not foresee how people would take it, given Freddie's 'orientation'? A flamingly gay guy dressed in drag singing "I want to break free" is gonna be taken a certain way. Like, duh. *laugh again*

  • similar to:

Poison - Talk Dirty To Me

    who was first?

  • @DamianFurioso Queen was first. They released this song on thier album "The Game" from 1980.The intro in this song is very similar to REM's hit "Everybody Hurts".

  • @DamianFurioso Queen by about 7 years. Talk Dirty To Me was 1987.

  • For me this one is one of the most rocking songs ever. Lets the air burn!

  • yes!!!

  • da nene... pentru baietii de pe zid!

  • freddie rocks

  • this song is sung and written by Roger Taylor, incase if you are thinking this is one of freddie's songs.

  • It's written by Roger, but in the first minute it's sang by Freddie

  • One of the best B-sides of Queen, great...

  • I remember the flak fans gave the band for having synthesizers for the first time. Well, it mattered so little. I think this was the best album they put out, period. This song reflects much of Taylor's solo aspirations (Fun in Space) but adds the "umph" required to pull it off. So, shoot and get your suit and come along with me!

  • just strollin down memory lane at 5 a.m. man what a wake up call. don't want to get old. what happened to last 30years????????

  • @damyankee425 dude, tell me about it. I remember listening to this song roller skating

  • Haha 3:05 he can fly!! Lol great song love it!!

  • the rocker roger

  • who cares if he is gay?!

  • @javierailovequeen - an even HIGHER percentage of the population were absolutely in love with Freddie!!

  • @javierailovequeen but he isn't, he was bisexual, he had a girlfriend named Mary Austin :)

  • @marx600 I like that you said he isn't instead of he wasn't :P

  • Comment removed

  • @javierailovequeen yea, just press play ;)

  • @javierailovequeen um he was bi...

  • @javierailovequeen Roger who sung most of this song - ask Cadbury`s flake - wasn`t at all gay.

  • @runwayblond Roger has five kids by at least two different women.

  • @javierailovequeen My thoughts exactly - Talent does not depend on one's gayness or straitness

  • @javierailovequeen and dead

  • Yeah, says the guy who uploaded a video about a goat who knows how to open a gate! Nothing gayer than that!

  • I just love the beginning of the song. Freddie's voice is amazing!

  • i love teh begining, teh middle the end... this song is just incredible, i LOVE it!

  • A very simple song put through Queen megafilter makes the song just unique performance, and the result will be a lot more complex song too.

I'm just browsing youtube listening to the less often heard Queen songs, trying to make up some insightful comments. Save me.

  • Try Delilah from Innuendo, lol. Everyone says it's stupid, but I think it's a sweet song. Especially the solo! Very nice, unique song.

  • I'm out splitting wood and "Shoot and get your suit," comes whipping through my mind. Talk about influential!

  • I remember when "The Game" came out, in 1980. I don't think ppl realize how huge Queen was, because in the 70's, they only had moderate success, but "News Of The World" 1978, and The Game, were albums in which about every song was good, and shot Queen straight to the top! Freddie R.I.P.

  • Moderate success in the 70's? Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Chapions.

  • Yeah, maybe that was wrong. The point I was trying to make was that although they had some success with killer queen, (1974), bicycle race, bohemian, fat bottom, etc, the "Super Stardom" didnt come until 1978's "News of the world, followed by 1980's The Game. I remember watching Queen's behind the music on VH1, and they talked about struggling to find their niche in the early years, and I believe "Killer Queen" kind of saved them with the record co.

  • I guess "super stardom" came for Queen with We are the Champions, I think it was their highest ranked song on billboard. I'm as big a Queen fan as most, to this day I have Flick of the Wrist on 45 RPM from when I was a kid. Cheers!!

  • Crazy Little Thing and Another One Bites The Dust both topped the Billboard

  • Greatttttt

    Roger you rock!

    love yoU!!

    nockas95

  • Love Rogers` voice.

  • im covering this song with my band and its so fun to play it

  • this theme is the intro of "rock odyssey"...this version is very nice by the way.

  • Freddie, no one but you! Just love the intro on this fabulous song written by Roger Tayler!!!! I would have loved it even more if Freddie sang the whole song, but Roger did a great job with his song! Q U E E N, the B E S T b y F A R !

  • linngal....I agree totally!!!....I always want Freddie to sing Everything!! He's just so FABULOUS!! THE BEST - EVER - !!!

There is actually a version of this sung by Freddie also.

FREDDIE - THE GOD OF ROCK - !!!!!!

    QUEEN ROCKSSSSS!!!!!!

  • Totally remember this of The Game, 1980. This album and News Of The World gave them mega mainstream popularity. I was introduced when my dad bought "A night at the opera" 76" ish

  • Do 'indie morons' have any sense of humour at all? I bet Roger Taylor has. Otherwise, he couldn't have written this sweet silly synth rocker. But no matter how you look at it, that flaming Freddie intro beats just about everything else you can put on your music player...

Still, I'd love to hear PINK cover that particular part. She's the only rock singer around today, that could do it properly.

  • tobyobrie, that isin't true.

    Moron.

  • is exelent want to be friends?

  • Great song and pictures!!!

    I ♥ Freddie!!!

  • Is it just me or the first part of this song sounds a little too much like REM's "Everybody Hurts"?

  • I can almost guarantee you that REM based that song off of this one. This came out on "The Game" album 1980, and it wouldn't be that well known by the general public

  • Yea, no doubt about it. This was playing in a rock bar once, and I had an argument with four indie morons who claimed that Queen ripped off REM. I explained that this came out first, but no, they still insisted. Since their was four of them they were sure they'd won.

That said, easily one of Queen's worst tracks.

  • Prime Jive. Now that's rock'nroll.

    In my opinon, anyway.

    Paul

  • Fucking rocking!

    Queen forever 3>

  • this song kicks...!

  • Top 5 Queen almbums

    5: Innuendo

    4: Jazz

    Really good song!

  • the game kick ass at all

  • woww i wish i had freddie's voice :P

  • you are so idiot =)))) it's normal that the voice to sound better on studio than live.. but this is not at freddie to.. listen to more songs live from queen and you' ll find out ;)

  • You are definitely a complete fool. Queen is the best band of all time and Freddie is the greatest singer of all time.

  • He's great on record, yes.

  • And live, dick.

  • Here, here. A Legend

  • Queen rock...LOVE'EM

  • come on, I love them all, I'm a man, I love girls and I think that the comment about sexism was ironic ;)
