Inviting the mayor, news reporter and all of those kuffar was inappropriate that's why the old Administration at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah got the boot.
@tmkisses that is ignorant the most important thing in islam is tawheed(the oneness of allah) what is better to talk about then that? it was a beutifull khutbah.
MASHALLAH TABARAKALLAH,the scene there brings tears to the eyes, our brothers and sisters in Philadelphia,USA i hear are strong in their deen,i thought London was strong, but not as strong as phili from what i hear,May Allah continue to guide everyone there to the path of the salaf as-saliheen,I love them all for the sake of Allah, and have been left mesmerised, cos i always assumed us has no islam, and uk is the arabia of the west,i was so wrong,Salam Alaikum and a belated eid mubarak from london!
Ya abujamiylah, my response to the sister was appropriate but maybe I was to harsh may she forgive my demeanor! The Friday khubat is for admonishment not an reminding. His deliver was all good for this pass Eid fitr, and his deliverance was a good call to the non Muslims who were present there, and Allaah knows best! Yes, we are intiltled to out wo opinions and views but they have to be correct not just any response.
@TMKisses nah i dont sis i live in londin england but im trying 2 move 2 philly very soon inshaa'Allah wud u be able 2 communicat on facebook inshaa'Allah xx
To TMKisses, it is very ignorant to make such a comment about that khutbah! For, the way of the Prophets and Messengers was Tawheed! And why would this khutbah take you out of the eid mood when he was talking about the Lord of all creation, this being something to help us fear the One Whom we shall meet, may He have mercy on us and guide us to Himself, ameen!
@AbdulShaheed95 Thanks for your response. Mashaallah, I do believe I am entitled to my own opinion. I simply made the comment of hoping to hear a more positive speech on the glorious day of celebration. I felt that the khutbah given on that day deemed more appropriate for Jumah. Please don't take my comments out of context.
@AbdulShaheed95 As-Salaamu 'Alaykum. It would have been from the sunnah and what is from wisdom to have offered what you saw as good from the khutbah than to tell TMKisses that the satement was ignorant. It is never ignorant to express an opinion about what you think would have been a better way to deliver a particular message. Ignorance would only have applied to giving an opinion AGAINST facts. You would show nobility yourself if you would offer them (TMKisses)

Is this khuttbah really appropriate for Eid Ul Fitr? Hmmm.... I wish the Imam would have spoken about the beauty of our blessed month of Ramadaan, and all the mercies and rewards we muslims received, Inshallah.
Especially since the Mayor of Philadelphia is present along with Action News. It would have been great dawah!!
This khuttbah sounds more Jumah friendly.
Being present at this khuttbah took me out of my Eid celebration mood.
But I enjoyed watching the video! I Love Sarah BloomQuist!
I heard about the Muslim community in Philadelphia and their impact on the city. It's wonderful to see such a big community. Inshallah I get to visit the city in the future.
