A great song? Not so much. I think trying to come off as pious *and* have to struggle so hard to make a point doesn't bode well for a speaker, or, in this cas, the singer. The singing is terrible. The music is trite. The lyrics don't flow...they're forced. But, keep tyring...you might make "some thing" one day that works.
Speaking of juvenile, how do one's choices for "favs" affect an ability to review a poorly done video? That's like my saying, "Because you're 5 years younger you're the juvenile. Nah, nah, nah-nah, nah." Since you obviously do not understand "argument" (and I teach it), you have given yourself no credibility by trying to discredit me (stick to the subject matter - the video).
Calling what you scribbled down a "review" is an insult to every hip shaking teen who ever told Dick Clark the song "has a good beat and you can dance to it." Trenchant stuff, your "the singing is terrible" and "the music is trite." Back it up, Mr. "I Teach Argument." And when some dimwit sounds off with half baked "criticisms" that are really just lazy flames, I have every right to point out that they're an intellectually lazy wrestling fan. Hope you got tenure, Perfesser. You need it.
Oh, more of the "cutsie-ness" from you, eh? Talk about words with no substance, you're the poster-child for them. Oh, btw, how do you write a great review given the limited space here to post? Hmmm? There's no room to provide "evidence" on these posts (not that evidence is a concern of yours). All you can do is shovel lemming-like praise on a dumb video and then wish someone else was lazy and (again) try and attack them instead of their ideas. Please, go earn a degree or at least buy a clue.
You're the one who purportedly "teaches argument," so you figure out how to give a review in limited space. Ain't my job, Doc. My job is to call out pseudo intellectual frauds such as yourself who believe their opinion to be the truth and cringe when their blowhard claptrap is called out. Go home.
More AGAIN with the flaming. It's not my job to "figure it out" (there you go AGAIN with cutsie-ness instead of substance), but I can only play by the rules. Since YOU are the one who can't abide by standards (even those of good music let alone proper argument) you figure it out. You calling me a fraud (to turn your own statements - they're not arguments - against you) fits in the same category as my "review" of this song. Thank you for helping me prove my point...and win at the same time.

compared to that altoids ad and the scooby doo masterpiece you have as your "favorties," i can see that we're dealing with a real world class intellect, softy.
I keep watching this video and it just gets better and better. Truly great work, BBE. Maybe Bush can take a moment away from his latest speech to assembled military men to give it a look and listen...
Thanks, Billie Burke Estates, for speaking up and speaking out. This great song and the poignant video are right on track, speaking the words many of us have been hearing in our heads throughout this administration.
It's about time someone made some art that accurately points out the hypocrisy of this administration. Great song. Great video. Thanks for saying something.
This song and video perfectly express everything I've thought and felt for the past 5 years about our President and his administration. Whatever your politics, the hypocrisy of their policies and actions are unmistakable and unacceptable. Thank you , BBE, for creating such a powerful and poetic protest statement. Every time I watch Dear George I want to send it all over the world.
This finger pointing half truth thing is so much easier.
ANd dang before this video i never knew that Our president hates homeless people and wants to kill your mom. I feel so enlightened. You know, if George was gone then the world would have a massive readjustment and all the guys who sit in thier comfy chairs writing propaganda songs would put down their macha tea and go help a homless person. Joan Baez would be proud.
If we do not question our leaders then what more are we than mindless sheeps? No the writters would never help anyone, they are pessimist. But still it's kind of hard not to be questioning George he has made some pretty big calls you know.
You can call it whatever, finger pointing, holding our employees accountable (the president IS the employee of the American people), or name calling, it's pretty much the truth regardless of what you call it.
Everyone knows that all that's wrong with the world can be placed at the feet of "W". Now if Kerry had been elected, life would be perfect! Joan Baez, eat your heart out.
Please leave the easy, simplistic crap back at the la-z-boy, chump.
The song doesn't say Bush is the reason there is war, poverty or environmental destructions. It simply points out that as a so called christian, his actions have only encouraged their expansion.
It's sad that you're willing to defend a man who really has done little more than fuck up because you cynically believe "no one could do any better." America's Lobotomized Morons, eat your heart out.
Excellent choice of words and pictures! Congrats

coming from someone who has david beckham and female wrestling as his/her favorites--at age 35--let's file this 'review' in the juvenile section

Incredible effort BBE. Captures the hypocrisy of Bush's so-called Christian message beautifully. Very, very well done.
