For example on the first page of the first Gemara( Brachos) the sages fight over the word "vetahair" vs"tahir" from leviticus 22:7 and the difference is only a vav. From this Gemara we find out what time one can say the Shema at night. If the Sages are so precarious over one letter so to with the entire bible.

Baptism is still being administered to wash away what Christians call ORIGINAL SIN. Redemption has not been achieved. Where did Jesus miss the point for which he was sent, if at all he was sent by God. Blind faith is not what God expects of us. He has given the Torah to be observed carefully.

His giving his life for me and raising the 3rd day is what takes away my sins. The idea of three persons in one God came about from several pagan religions. In fact there is growing acknowledgement that Christianity has borrowed from certain Greek and Egyptian pagan religions. to quote the or hatorah, nach vol 2 p.829 "The oral Torash is a pitcher that draws from the twenty four books of the written Torah" Without the written scripture there would be no Oral Torah. Jews get all their commandments from scripture. For example in Deuteronomy 11;17 it says "you shall bind them for a sign on your hand and a reminder between your eyes" this is a hint to the commandment of tefillin. It doesnt say how to do it so the oral torah teaches us how to do it properly.

@zionget Our book is both the Talumd and the Tanakh. The Talmud gets almost all its information from the Tanakh. The Sages fight over the meaning of practically every word in the 24 books. For example on the first page of the first Gemara( Brachos) the sages fight over the word "vetahair" vs"tahir" from leviticus 22:7 and the difference is only a vav. From this Gemara we find out what time one can say the Shema at night. If the Sages are so precarious over one letter so to with the entire bible.

@kiastar67 Actually, paganism stole from Judaism and Christianity. The word of God was first, and pagan religions copied from it. Jesus told us this when he was here on the earth....John 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers (because they stole from scripture and faked his coming and meaning): but the sheep did not hear them. paganism was started with nimrod at the tower of babel, and the Bible predates babylon and nimrod, hence it predates paganism. If we are 'all' God's children how dare people continue to say 'mine is better than yours.' The word will be spread through the ear and what remains, if you BOIL it down is that word... 'God' the beginning to all enlightenment. Is is more about belief or style of belief or the word of God? Love all things. The houses of God are many. Judge not let ye be judged... no one follows that. Point not at one lest many point at you. I refuse to give any judgement on any religion or faith. I love all.

Oh my but there are so many deviations on that Faith. I see no productive reason to keep up the fight internally. After all, Brother Nathaniel is Orthodox Russian Christian now anyhow. Berakhoth 16b treats the death of a non-Jewish slave as the death of an animal (specifically an ox or ass) and states that the loss to be mourned is the loss of the Jew's property, not the loss of the slave's life which is apparently of no importance. This particular example used an exemplary slave to illustrate the point that even the loss of life of an upstanding and faithful eved or shifcha is of no consequence. Such is Judaism...

When you went singing Christmas Carols and found the earliest opportunity to leave Judaism for Orthodox Christianity that believes in honoring idols and icons how can you profess to be following the Patriarchs? @nel1948son: Most Jews don't believe in one God. They have split God into even more parts than has Christianity. They have deified themselves by claiming to have a soul that is literally a part of G-d, and, therefore, believe in as many gods as there are Jews walking the planet at any given time. The primary reason for your misinterpretation and distortion is based on your fundamental belief that G-d is a spirit, a soul. Therefore, you misinterpret the meaning of being part of G-d as being splintered soul of G-d. Hence, your deduction that Jews consider themselves gods. Little knowledge is a dangerous thing! The fact still remains that Orthodox Christians worship idols.

You could call God a soul, a spirit, an entity, an existence, whatever, but a Christian could easily make the same argument about the Trinity. Would you care to elaborate further on what you mean?

When I was a little younger and looking for community and something to believe in I considered converting to Judaism until I found out how Orthodox Jews really regarded non-Jews (including the non-Jewish family of a ger tzedek).

@nel1948son: For the record, I see Christianity as a Greek misinterpretation of the practices of a small Jewish group at the time the Christian scriptures were written. Greek thought is logical and axiomatic and Jewish thought is more concerned with analogy and proverb and I see no evidence Jesus was trying to win converts from outside the Jewish community. . Still, I see little evidence of the authenticity of the Oral Law of Judaism either. Both religions are pure revisionism.

This is what God said. Who is our ? God and Who esle ? There are so many times he is mentioned there is not enough space to mention them all here.

Gen 1:26 (KJV)" God said, let us make man in "OUR" image. God = Three. Father -Son and holy Spirit.
Gen 1-2 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:2 (KJV)
All 3 are mentioned in the first book.
Jewish people are blinded of these facts until his second return.

@flatpicker1234 Jews find it difficult to accept the importance of Jesus because he failed to fulfil the prophesies. Having come to eliminate sin, we still see sin all around us. Baptism is still being administered to wash away what Christians call ORIGINAL SIN. Redemption has not been achieved. Where did Jesus miss the point for which he was sent, if at all he was sent by God. Blind faith is not what God expects of us. He has given the Torah to be observed carefully.

@nel1948son I guess it's how you look at it. He did not fail at anything. He is just not done yet. I think the plan that he has is brilliant. Baptism doesnt wash away anything. His giving his life for me and raising the 3rd day is what takes away my sins. It's really amazing how your eyes are opened once you become a christian, you see Christ all throughout the Old Testament. There are so many verses that the Jewish Faith have excuses for when it comes to Christ in the Old Testament.

The idea of three persons in one God came about from several pagan religions. In fact there is growing acknowledgement that Christianity has borrowed from certain Greek and Egyptian pagan religions. The thought of it is disheartening but one cannot help but admit its similarity.
