yah.. sad but true.. i live near SM clark and fields ave. , and I see those kinds of women everytime i pass there.. everywhere i look, oh there's one, and oh there's another one.. it just disturbs me that they had to go to that extent for "greener pasteurs" but sacrificing their morals and dignity? i do pity them in a way, maybe some of them are being forced to do that...

Unfortunately I completely agree that Filipinas act suplada, but wut if its a defense mech? As a 1st gen pinay I wonder what Mr. Puti wants (i.e. docile, dependent, submissive, housewife) - is he even genuine? Seems the guy you observed at the airport was, kudos to him. Unfortunately with our culture, its about sacrifice and survival. There are pinoys/pinays that marry not for love (sometimes w/ in family) but to help families out of poverty. Hmm,Maybe the suplada attitude is out of resentment?
I see your point. It's a bummer though coz my friend IS with a white guy and it soooo has nothing to do with papers. She's actually an accountant, went to UPDiliman, comes from a greatfamily, classy& attractive. She likes whiteboys or Filipino.She cant find any nice, well-educatedFilipinos around California&seems to be meeting more white guys.

You've seen it first hand and in the long run what can they do? They always have to be on top of their game. to school. she's actually graduating in march & has no plans on keeping him after she lands a job with Philippine Airlines or other airlines... she chose this cuz her family is poor and she does not want her younger siblings to go through the hardshipp of life in pinas.. if u've lived in pinas long enough to observe their lifestyle,, u'd probably have a better understanding as to why women in 3rd world countries do it. l another fact is that these men,, they knw what the hell they're doing...
heheh, well, is there ANY correct spelling for ANY tagalog word? maybe, if we still wrote in alibata, but spelling with roman characters will always be done phonetically, which is why it depends on how one pronounced a word. if i say the word wrong, oh well... still learning :)
