  • Good engine shame it was wasted by being coupled to an automatic gearbox.

  • Gm engines were and still are heavy agricultural junk...common fact.

  • 1:33 :D

  • 1.33 uuuhhhhhh

  • The european engines are both economical and powerfull with sophisticated mechanics, airflow distribution and advanced ECUs, etc, etc...

And then the USA engines: V6, V8, even bigger V8 and maybe V8 with chromed cap :))

  • @adrianTNT You are terribly ignorant and mistaken. The GM LS engines are quite simple and advanced. They are very economical and powerful.

For all the bluster that the european engines perpetuate one would they they shit gold or something.

  • I make model of this engine in 3d and this video is very helpful to me. THANKS FOR UPLOADING!! :D

  • My dad had on of these. What a fantastic car. You would think that it had nearly 300BHP given the way it drove, and in a well proven chassis. A real winner.

  • sul'adss

  • "CHEVROLET" = Can Hear Every Valve Rattle On Long Extended Trips.

"OLDSMOBILE" = Old Ladies Drive Slowly, Mostly Off Bridges Into Lake Erie.

  • ya fords so horrible that it is still on its own 2 feet while dodge crashes and burns and chevy does what its theme emplies sinking "LIKE A ROCK" ha ha ha

  • I've got one of these on a K reg, Scorpio Spec Granada saloon. Quickest car I've ever driven. Big cars that are front wheel drive just don't handle properly and often smell of onions!

  • Humm... I don't see much improvement over the 1989 Ford Taurus SHO engine (FWD). The SHO was a 3.0 liter V6 twin DOHC, capable of 220 HP. Back then, Ford Europe would have been well adviced to pick up that engine instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

  • Hmm... You won't see an improvement over the front-wheel-drive 1989 Ford Tarus SHO 3.0 V6, because the two engines have nothing in common whatsoever. The "Super High Output" 3.0 V6 is a Yamaha engine, were as the engine featured in the above video is a Cosworth/Brian Hart Ltd. FBA which is an evolution of the Ford Cologne V6 and was fitted to Ford of Europe's rear-wheel-drive Granada and Scorpio models. Ford of Europe were well advised not to pick the Yamaha engine...

  • ...because it would have meant shipping the engines half way across the world, re-designing the engine bay on the top-line model and modifying the engine for a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

  • Fix Or Repair Daily

  • Too right! "yer never bored with a ford"

  • or "found on roadside dead"

  • ford yb engine

  • the only way!!!

  • long life cossy !!!
