  • Frank was not always the nicest guy but when he was he was the best

  • 音いいね。

    thank you.

  • some big shot producer was asked at the grammy's red carpet about the demise of W Houston, "we lost the best voice of all time" he said. Is this the record industry today? you get to be that big without having even heard Sinatra?

  • one of the best tunes ever!!!

  • Wow. The ad and the song that came after it were almost the same length. I guess corporate America wants us to believe that buying some shit is equally as important as listening to fine music.

  • the fist time i heard this song it was on the Simpsons lol

  • @killerclown1740 hehehe season 6 episode 1^^ =)

    me to!

  • fell in love with that song playing et al

  • Now I see someone has already mentioned the movie. Both Rourke & Roberts are great.

  • I LOVE this song! Fantastic. No one could sing this song better than Frank. They play this over the opening/closing credits of "Pope of Greenwich Village" with Mickey Rourke (back when he was handsome) & Eric Roberts.

  • Old blue eyes sure crooned a smooth tune

  • One of my favorite Sinatra songs. I sang it at my retirement party.

  • They say Jewish are the chosen people of God. I say Americans are!

  • @unavailableyet - really...??? Not that it even matters - but what has america done lately to indicate that fact?

  • I just watched Matchstick Men...

  • Sinatra was born that day.

  • This song has generated more down and dirty hot & sweaty jungle sex than anything that came out of Detroit. We owe this man, big time. Great song!

  • ah the nice old classics

  • oh frank thanks for my two kids as we made love to this song xxxxxxxxxxx

  • @bigadda1969 Dude, just get adblock

  • DON'T EVER PUT AN AD ON A SINATRA SONG!!!!!

  • after the pool collapsed, after my friends left me, after that ass Nelson pulled my shorts down, after all of that, at least i still have this song.

  • Check out The Coffe Song if you've never heard it.

  • this stuff beats all that mainstream bullshit you hear

  • @dra4gon Fuck new school.

  • @dra4gon By a fucking kilometre.

  • This hit by Ol' Blue Eyes was the 78th #1 song on Billboard's Easy Listening charts. It is now known as the Adult Contemporary charts. This was Frank's third #1 on this chart.

  • For a dear friend.

  • Like if you heard this on The Simpsons for the very first time.

  • Reminds me of my good friend, he sang this one when he got a bit tipsy .-)

  • you have a serious thinking disorder paulie

  • sure its good soothing music...luv it...great song....Sinatra was psycho...violent...brutal....just the way he was I'm not judging him....

  • Goodbye Summer. We had some fun but you're leaving for South America. You better come back before too long. Sincerely, Minnesota.

  • The '' Man !''

  • the best song ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Four people haven't loved and lost the way that Frank did

  • A nonpareil

  • This was playing over the loudspeakers as I left the racetrack in Saratoga earlier this evening, another season at the track having come and gone. I was singing it to myself all the way home and I knew I'd have to look it up the moment I walked in the door.

  • Summer is gone, 10 weeks off, and come tomorrow all bets are off for tranquility, peace of mind, a life of frolicking on the shore, sipping lemonade, and just shmoozing with the sun. ITS OVER FACE THE FACTS. We're left with Sinatra.

  • swing baby swing...and then swing some more

  • The fact that first heard this in, and will always associate it with, the "Rear Window" episode of the Simpsons only makes it more emotional for me. A definitive end of summer song.

  • ahhhh that voice!

  • youtube ads suck

  • thumps up if Frank Sinatra brought you here xD

  • Perfect singer, perfect arrangement, perfect band, perfect song = perfection!

  • Martin:"Soon I will be the queen of summertime!"

  • Matchstick Men.

  • Thumbs up if you dont care what year it is, or who brought you here!

  • @EDLFC It's true why do people feel the need to say that why not just enjoy the music.

  • @Castingcrowns4him one thing i will never understand is why they are here and or another site and neggative...so sad....so sad..i grew up with a radio and if i didnt like it i went to another chanel..and said nothing

  • I have no faith ih a man who measures himself by the size of his bank account

  • @aloha1827 Let me guess,,your broke...

  • La Plus belle chanson

  • No song ever made today could come close to the level of melodious resilience and irreproachableness of this masterpiece. This is class. This is music. This is the Great American Songbook.

  • MMMMMMMM Superb big band ,nothing like it Golden age, thanks so much,Sinatra the best ever!

  • I'm listening to this in 2012

  • This is class..thanks so much for putting it up..Sinatra will never die...

  • Im 24 years old and have had to listen to shit like lady gaga that make me want to take my own life when she comes on tv, thank god for sinatra, cash and all the other legends from the 50's, 60's and 70's!

  • This is one of my all time favorite songs!!!

  • summer wind or was it superman lol maybe he was

  • The summer wind in SF aint leaving for quite a while, quite frankly i enjoy it.

  • guy has a pretty good voice

  • @whirrandchime Of COURSE he does! He's Freaking FRANK SINATRA. 'guy has a pretty good voice'? This g

    uy has a HIS-VOICE-REVOLUTIONIZED-MUSIC voice!!!!!

  • This is also used in a great movie "The pope of Greenwich village" A great Mickey Rourke movie.Classic.

  • "My fffickle friend ... the summer wind" - genius.

  • I heard this in an italian restaraunt .. fucking blew me away

  • @Emoidiot187 A Sinatra song in an Italian restaurant? Get otta here!

  • One of my favorite tunes by him.

  • Mike brought Tuhd here, not Garry.

  • THANK YOU GARY RUSSO: New York 2nd avenue Frank Sinatra.

This N.Y. street crooner brought this song to my attention:

Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra [Hoboken, New Jersey] - 1966 - "AMG Pick. Like The Capitol Years, the four-disc box set The Reprise Collection was released to celebrate Frank Sinatra's 75th anniversary." - The Reprise Collection (Reprise) [Disc 3]-1990.

NOTE: However, it works as a better sampler than the Capitol set, partially because Sinatra released so many albums on Reprise ...

  • Thru the "fullness of time" all will come to appreciate the genius of "Scout" as his son called him .

When I was a teen I didn't understand when the great jazz legends , would rave about Frank's talent, what they meant, now I do but it took me 40 yrs .

I am now a music student and learning to "site read" , Frank had perfect pitch and could keep up with professional musicians so they respected him , not just his "celebrity" .

Plus he was a secret philanthropist and never wanted thanks

  • magic

  • Beautifully sang by one of the greatest singer of it's time. He sure can swing!

  • i sang this after my pool collapsed and all my friends left, and this ass named nelson pulled my shorts down to humiliate me!

  • @ak1ok Yes I think of this episode too! It's why I even came on here to listen to it! ;)

  • @championplumbingLA

I greatly resent that you bumbling pig. Just because I'm Irish doesn't mean I don't like Frank Sinatra. I hope your bigotry lands you in a grave.

  • Two people hit the dislike button by mistake.

  • Me too. Don't have that song in my Frank collection. Error!

  • me too hahah :D

  • Garry Brought Me Here!!

  • Gary Russo sent me!

  • Gary Russo does not sound like Sinatra. Hes still a very good crooner whose phrasing of the song is very Sinatra-y...that's the big similarity.

  • @StickDaVinci Exactly! I really like Gary, but I really don't like the fact that some people say that "he sings Sinatra perfectly". He doesn't!

  • Gary Russo sounds great, what a breath of fresh air, but my friends, NOBODY sounds like Frank Sinatra, NOBODY,........Maybe you just had to be there.

  • yes Gary brought me here love that guy very cool

  • Gary Russo from Queens NY. Sounds just like Frank!!!

  • THANK GOD FOR TALENTED MUSICIANS. AND GOOD SOOTHING MUSIC.

  • My Dad and I would always dance to this when I was a little girl. We'll dance to it again... on my wedding day

  • @suljaga123333 whos garry?

  • @suljaga123333 whos garry?

  • Before Chuck Norris, there was Frank Sinatra

  • Frank Sinatra very well should have been James Bond.

  • frank sinatra is SO HOT.

  • Man. big band music just gets right into my vertebre and makes it like a spring.

    I'm like yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Im 15 and love Frank Sinatra, I feel as if his music is the only music that can calm me down...

  • This Reminds Me Of Good Hot Days In AZ

  • A hell of a lot more classy and romantic than today's music.

  • Summer wind, a metaphor for those quick, but beautiful love affairs, that end often just as they began. They just aren't ever based on anything strong enough to keep them alive through all the seasons, yet they're strong enough to remain in one's memory. Sinatra captures that haunting beauty and that near silly futility all at once. He's the master!

  • They just don't make music like this anymore.

  • Arguably one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

  • summer wind

  • This, and It Was a Very Good Year, remain my favorite songs by the Chairman.

  • If we could only return to these days...or at least keep them alive in our lives and we'd be all the better for it. Neither lost nor forgotten.

  • it don't get no better than this!

  • pretty swanky

  • Синатра красава! Очень нравится эта песня!

  • gold!

  • This never gets old...My top 3 favorites of all time...it never ages...I love Frankie!

  • I remember martin from the simpson singing this song... nice days

    lol

  • @TROPiCALBK lol!!!

  • @IsaiahC1996 Who cares what year it is, as long as you are following the true meaning of this master piece. What should matter is the person you have become because of this marvelous music.

  • He truly was / is The Chairman of the Board........

  • When I hear this I always think of Martin Prince.

  • A Great Italian-American!!!...Hello Jersey Shore???? Fucking shame!
