I really like the comments about the AUSKF missing the boat in cancelling women's divisions from the AUSKF taikai. Hope someone out there is listening. Our job as kenshi is to encourage the growth of kendo for _all_ people, Men, Women, children of both genders.

To the makers of this video..thank you... I'll be using it to encourage women who have second thoughts about joining our dojo to encourage them!

@rfoxmich Actually, this last AUSKF Nationals they included both a Jr. and Sr. girls division. And what do you know, it was a great division! I was so impressed at the level of kendo out there.

@linakabra don't worry, lol, ur not. There are tons of people in my dojo that started in their thirties.

fun fact: Elizabeth Marsten (from the video) is my sensei's daughter, she occasionally visits the dojo.

When are AUSKF Directors joining the mainstream America to grow kendo in this country and serve the US kendo community? In this country, it's not okay to determine the level of support based on gender. This isn't a little Japan!
