win123 Its might look run down but its not crime infested. I lived in the inlet for almost a year last year. Most of the crime is on casino properties and now even the parking garages are being patrolled. Thanks for posting !

@beachvu I've spent many summers in Atlantic City and know the area pretty well. The inlet area is dangerous. You are very lucky to have lived in that area and have nothing happen to you.

@MrVodkaking Anyone who walks around in that area needs to be extremely cautious. There are muggings, shootings, and police activity. I remember reading about a reporter who went up there to do a story on this new casino and as soon as he arrived, the police chased him away, telling him there was a shooter in the area. The ONE TIME that I walked up there (in the middle of the day and before the casino was being built), I was chased down the boardwalk by some crazy person. I learned my lesson.

The place looking great has nothing to do with the contractors. It's the designers that created it. The dumb contractors are nothing but uneducated high school dropouts. I do agree - it looks fabulous.
